Excellent location in Catania and very comfortable stay! I was a solo traveler and the single room was perfect. Best shower so far in Italy. I arrived late at night and the hotel’s new online system and online communication made it super easy to get in after hours. Highly recommend!

You need someone to let you in and show you the way but the staff is super nice.

Very comfortable place to stay for someone with a short period of time because it has a great location to reach many of the popular places to visit. The people are super welcoming and nice too.

First of all, the building is very clean and we had a feeling that we were secure (as Catania generally does not give you that vibe). The room was very clean (and cleaned every day), the A/C was working properly (since it was around 40 degrees outside) and the host Valeria was extremely nice and helpful.

Very friendly and helpful staff, I had an issue with the key one of the late evenings and they were very quick to respond and solve my problem. My suite was very clean, very comfortable bed and lovely room decor. Also, the place is right in the center of Catania, easy to get around.

The location was excellent as you're in walking distance to tourist attractions and bars and restaurants. Mini markets also close by. Very clean rooms.

It's called B&B but they were not serving breakfast during the time we were staying there. If you arrive prior to check in time, there's no where to leave your luggage and unfortunately you have to walk around with your luggage.

Super location , Monica was so helpful with advice on places to go and food to eat . Great rooms with a fabulous shower . Organised my transfers to and form the airport . Highly recommend . As a solo traveller , it was excellent

Fabulous hotel in a great location - a few minutes walk from the main historical square and other attractions. Good breakfast and really friendly helpful staff who gave us great recommendations for dinner. Would highly recommend this hotel.

the bed wasn’t comfortable. you could hear every sound upstairs very loudly when people were talking, walking or moving things. the shower didn’t get hot, there was only 1 towel in the room. the host talked too much at check in and we were stuck there for ages. the air con didn’t get the room fully Cole. there was no doona cover on the bed, just a sheet. way overpriced for what you get.

The property was clean and in a decent location but definitely overpriced in comparison to other places we’d stayed during the month prior. Monica was very difficult to deal with and we had several wholly unpleasant interactions with her. She was quite hostile from the moment we arrived, instead choosing to accost us about being early for check-in rather than engage in common pleasantries such as a formal introduction. Indeed, each time we walked into the building she seemed to lead by accosting us over something or other. The most bizarre incident was on day 2 when she launched into a vehement criticism of where we’d left our belongings in the room. Again bypassing any initial pleasantry before engaging in this manner. It wasn’t clear, however, I gather her issue was that we hadn’t hung our clothes up in the wardrobe and this complicated room cleaning. I politely informed her that room cleaning would not be necessary the following day but fresh towels for day 3 would be much appreciated, unfortunately the fresh towels never materialised but we again frustratingly found our belongings mixed up and piled in the corner of the room that following day. It really was all very peculiar. We certainly did not benefit from any professionalism during our 3 night stay with Monica. In the month we spent in Europe this was the only negative encounter we had in the 13 places we stayed through this website.

Palazzo Sisto is in a lovely historic building in the center of Catania. The real gem is Monica, the innkeeper, who is so kind, helpful and responsive that she makes you immediately feel like you have a friend in Catania.
