Great location, just opposite to the main train station

Great apartment in Central Bordeaux, clean and well kept. great communication with the owner, easy to find with parking. views were fantastic and balcony was lovely, highly recommend

nothing to dislike

Great location for transport links and walking into town. Relaxed check in and out. Comfortable flat, very relaxed atmosphere. Very clean and fresh bedding. great to have the parking and a balcony. Great cooking facilities. Wonderful shower, loads of hot water. Good information provided, maps restaurants etc.

Nothing much, only minor details and suggestions to make it even better. We were short on wine glasses for 4 of us but picked some up at supermarket. Could have done with a couple more hand towels. Shelves in the fridge would be good Suggest maybe taking the small bed out of the bedroom to turn the double bed around to get in and out of better and add something to hang clothes up on (only drawers in the rooms). However I know this would reduce occupancy for families. Was unable to set up my Netflix account on the TV, maybe some instructions would help. . Some of the cushions on the balcony settee are stained..

Very stressful experience overall

Very poor (none at all) communication from the host. I had one question to ask (where to leave our luggage after checkout and before our train departed), I tried to ask 1 month and half before arrival, messaged him 4 times, called him, called the Booking customer service, who tried also to no avail (just wouldn't answer the phone). Eventually we received automatic checkin instructions 24h before arrival. I knew by that time that if any problem arose, I wouldn't be able to speak to anyone. Of course, no option or help was provided as to where to leave our luggage after checkout. This is the first time in 20 years' travel all over the world I do not manage to communicate with a property owner nor receive any tip when needed. Besides, the apartment is bit tired, I have photos of stained armchairs, the toilet seat was broken, there were not any wine glass (quite appalling for a Bordeaux property). If it had been cheaper I would understand, but all that and the fact my question went totally ignored (retrieving the key from the bar was an interesting experience too, not for everyone). Disappointing and I cannot think of why a serious company like Booking keeps a property so poorly managed in its roster.

We LOVED this apartment. It was spotless, in a great location just beside the train station. There were lots of nice restaurants within walking distance. The balcony was lovely for breakfast, great views and we would stay again for sure

check in was a nightmare. 1) went to the restaurant and there was no ‘red pencil case’ tried the blue one. 2) parking remote didn’t work so thought they had given us the wrong keys. Had to go back to restaurant to ask. 3) rang the host only to find the remote doesn’t work (would have been nice to know this beforehand) Luckily could park next door. 4) Lock on apartment is terrible. very difficult to lock. Not a nice feeling in such an unsafe area. Host talked us few it and we eventually got it, but it was still very difficult. He clearly needs to replace the lock. On the phone he was completely unapologetic.

The property is very well located if you need to be close to the station which is right opposite or it's a 35 min walk into town or a 3 minute walk to the river where there are frequent trams. There are great views across Bordeaux in 2 directions. The parking is easy (although if you arrive by car on your own, it would be complicated to find somewhere to leave your car while you walk the 100m to collect the car park fob and keys). Everything worked fine in the apartment (although the front door is a little tricky and has a knack to lock it but is easy to unlock). The terrace would be lovely in good weather and would make the apartment feel more spacious although it was still fine for 4 friends staying together.

The decor is a little tired and could do with a refresh and perhaps simplifying a bit (fresh, white paint on the walls and less art and decoration would help). Some of the plumbing and electrical fittings in the bathroom and toilet aren't very well done including a loose looking electrical socket near the bathroom sink (I didn't touch it). The comfortable chairs downstairs could do with a clean and there's a repair on the terrace doors that has been done with masking tape. The instructions need updating (the carpark fob is black and not red and the WiFi instructions need checking).

The property is very "tired", looks like it was heavy used, rather messy as well. Dishes are cleaned by previous guests, so it's cleanliness is questionable. Bedsheets and towels are not white, so would make you think if there are any stains on it which are not quite visible, didn't look very fresh. After a reservation you get a message from the property where you required to fill in the form and send picture of your passport, until you do that, you don't get instructions on how to collect the keys, we were on the road and it wasn't very convenient to read all those long messages and we had to wait in the middle of the road.
