Beautiful property with a wonderful view Pool and hot tub ocean front and the glass rails on the porches made the view seamless Hope to stay there again

We had the best week!

This is our fifth year at Tranquility & we would not stay anywhere else!! This is our annual vacation with family & friends. The elevator is amazing, given we have family with mobility issues. And plenty of room for two big families! George & Suzanne are wonderfully kind & keep Tranquility in amazing shape. Can’t say enough good things about our week! Will definitely return for our sixth year!

LOVED IT. It was perfect. We tooK AN 80year who can not walk and it was perfect. Lots of room to move around with a wheelchair and the elevator was great. This house had everything that you would have at home. It lacked nothing. My son got married the week we were here and the bottom level with the pool table was perfect for him and his groomsmen to spend a couple days with us. Everyone was Happy. Loved the house, Loved the area, loved the owners. So relaxing..so Tranquil..

We have rented beach houses since 1979 and this is the best appointed house we have rented. It had everything we needed to celebrate Thanksgiving with friends and family. I cannot think of an item we didn't have--right down to tissues in every room, hand soap and toilet paper in every bathroom, spices, oil, vinegar--you name it and it was there. And everything was in good working condition. The house is lovely but very liveable and comfortable. George and Suzanne were so very helpful and delightful to work with. You can tell they take great pride in their house. Thank you!! We plan to return next Thanksgiving.

George and Suzanne - We had another great visit to your beach house! Hard to believe we've been coming for about 10 years, sometimes twice a year!!! The amenities and attention to detail are great as is your hospitality. You treat us like part of your family. Discovered some great restaurants this year. Hope to see you next season!

We had a lovely week with three generations including six grandchildren between 2yrs-6yrs. We were lucky that the weather was perfect all week and we had a memorable holiday. The house is as good as it looks in the pictures and George and Suzanne are very organised and thorough in the way that they prepare the house for their guests. Any minor problems (which were all that we had) were dealt with quickly and efficiently. The views out to the Ocean are stunning and for us, with some family in UK and some living in San Diego, it was the perfect half way location for us all to meet up. The house is very comfortable and the air con is quiet,easy to use and efficient. The vast television with Netflix was ideal for the children to have calm down,chill out sessions after all the activity on the beach and in the pool. Thank you George and Suzanne for all your attention to detail and for such a great vacation.

George & Suzanne--There are not enough superlatives to describe our 2nd year's stay at this wonderful house you have so aptly named--Tranquility. How fitting of a name, because everything you provide plus the personal touches you each put into Tranquility makes for a most peaceful and enjoyable vacation. The comments of a couple of our grandchildren says it all -- "Papa, this is such fun, can we stay another week?" We were all just so comfortable in the family friendly environment you have provided. We have been renting NC beach homes for the past 12 years and Tranquility is the absolute finest. We depart with many fabulous memories. As most people do, we spent much time and effort looking for a suitable beach house that would make the average teenager, small children and the adults of the family happy. TRANQUILITY seemed to fit those needs in every way. The house is very clean and the decor is bright and sunny as to fit the surroundings. The pictures on the website are right on. Some of the reasons we chose this house were the pool, hot tub, and game room. All of those amenities were used immensely. The game room was kept busy every evening while the pool suited the little ones much of the time. This was a great place to get together with extended family as there were 19 of us. I would recommend the house to anyone looking for great, cheerful space that is well equipped with all you should need including beach toys. :)

Our family of 13 (ages ranging from 76-14) had yet another great week at Tranquility in Emerald Isle. This was our 13th year in the house and we enjoyed our vacation as much this time as we did our first year. Tranquility has all the amenities we need (and more)! We spent our days on the beach, at the pool, and in the hot tub; and our nights cooking dinner in the fully stocked kitchen, playing games with the family, and watching movies on Netflix. The kids did leave us to play mini golf, bowl, and drive go-karts. Thanks again Tranquility for a great week!

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Four generations (Great Grandpa's 80th Birthday to Great Grandson 1 1/2 years old) enjoyed a wonderful week at TRANQUILITY. Everthing stated about TRANQUILITY and the pictures were 100^ as described. Their was a lot of bonding going on between cousins that live in different states. You both were wonderful hosts accommodating our every need. The kitchen was amazing stocked with everything imaginable. The chocolate pretzles and the cake that you baked was delicious. Thank you for both for your thoughtfulness. TRANQUILITY was the perfect place for a reunion and celebration. From "old man Rivers himself" "It was a well kept surprise." It was a 2 1/2 month secret of planning and I want to thank my children and grandchildren for not slipping out the secret. It was most difficult for my son and me being around him everyday. Lynn and Art who reside in Swansboro researched TRANQUILITY and did all the shopping. Karen and Bill who reside in Fla. helped with whatever they could. For 3 days different relatives from as far away as Las Vegas arrived surprising Grandpa every day. Thank you both for what you do, trusting those that stay here to respect and to keep TRANQUILITY for what it is meant to be. A tranquil and wonderful vacation experience. The elevator was a godsend for me. Thank you for your hospitality and we hope to enjoy your company again since we may be moving to Swansboro in the near future. We would definitely recommend TRANQUILITY to everyone.

My husband and I searched long and hard to find a reasonablly priced, suitable vacation home with all the amenities to enjoy a FOUR generational vacation over Easter break. We spent our week together with his 89 year old Mom, our five children, their partners and four grandchildren! The house was perfect for some amazing family time. Every picture of the house is EXACTLY what you will find when you arrive. SPOTLESS house, comfortable rooms, well equipt kitchen, lovely pool and miles of pristine beach right outside the door. There was plenty to keep everyone happy, entertained and busy each day right at the house, yet many other attractions within a short drive for the times that someone wanted some time away from our group of 16! Our hosts George and Suzanne give great attention to every detail, were eager to make sure we were totally satisfied, and were considerate to the fact that our family time was very precious to us. Would highly recommend this house for most any group looking for TRANQUILITY at a gorgeous beach home!!!!
