The owner, Mr.Lahiri, was most hospitable. Ask for Ranjeet ( guide and Toto driver) for the tour. Well mannered and considerate and provides excellent service at reasonable rates.

Overall cleanliness and specifically of the kitchen. The property also needs some maintenance in general.

I like the place very much as there is home like comfort and place is very clean . The staffs are very cooperative and breakfast is also good light and healthy.

The place is far from main city and and little bit need to be more secure.

The room is need and clean.ower is so helpfull.place is peaceful.

Location is so far from station.transport system is very poor.only homestay's toto is available,but so expensive.it is one side of the town.

The ambience was good. My personal favourite - a temple of Thakur, Maa and Swamiji was just adjacent to the property. The neighborhood was good, it's a calm and quiet place, with lots of trees and plants around. The interior of the property was also nice, neat and clean. The owners don't stay there, but they were always inquiring about my wellbeing over call twice a day making sure I am doing good, till I reached home safely. The toto-owner Ranjit da was super helpful and very trustworthy. Roaming in and around Shantiniketan in a toto was a soothing experience, far away from the maddening crowd...

We loved the homely atmosphere of the place as it was a homestay. The owner, Mr Lahiri is very courteous and took good care of all our needs. He has people at his property too to suffice immediate needs like local transport, food, etc. We enjoyed our 3 day stay at Pubali homestay. Looking forward to visit again! 😀

I absolutely loved the hospitality of house houseowners and the caretakers. They go an extra mile to accommodate your needs. It is just like a home away from home. Everything you may need is there in the house and you are welcome to use it responsibly. You have complete freedom to do whatever you want, again keeping in mind others are not inconvenienced. I stayed for just a day and I wish I stayed for a couple more to really experience the homestay. But, even in this short duration, the houseowner Mr Lahiri and caretakers did everything they could to make me feel home and comfortable. The accomodation charges are pretty low too taken that Bolpur is a very popular tourist destination and I visited on a weekend. You get a lot more than you pay here. A lot of people had complained about mosquitoes so I carried my own repellent and didn't have any problem. You can't be expecting to live amidst nature and not deal with other things that are part of a natural ecosystem. If you are looking for a cosy, budget friendly homestay experience in Shantiniketan/Bolpur, this is the place for you. What I liked most was the efforts taken by the hosts to make us feel special. I had an very early morning journey next day and I requested the hosts to arrange for packed breakfast. It was challenging but the host not only arranged a filling breakfast for the road but also sent delicious sweets which was very touching. This place shines because of its people.

The flat is a little dusty, to be honest. It is located in a dense residential area and a little away from the main road.

The homestay was in a quiet and serene place, amidst nature. It was extremely pleasant. The caretakers were very helpful and co-operative. Moreover, Mr. Lahiri, the landlord of the house co-ordinated with us beautifully, took care of us in every single steps. It was nice staying there!

I'd like the garden of the property. It comprises of beautiful flowers and the entrance is like a dream. It also has a homely vibe to it, where you can be on your own with no interruptions. Among other things the staff is quick to help and offer you comfort like making tea(milk or without), arranging mosquito net etc. I also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast by the property owner, simple yet comforting!

I'd like to see improvement in getting the house cleaner, arranging fresh tissue roll in the washroom, empty dustbin and addressing problem of mosquito

The staff was courteous and helpful, the rooms were clean ,spacious and well maintained. Mr.Lahiry was very friendly and a thorough gentleman, he was always available whenever we needed anything and we spent the 2 days in a homely atmosphere. It was a home away from home.

The mosquitoes at night, though there were mosquito nets and it was not a big issue

Location is around 1km inside the lane and no shops inside the lane, so you need to arrange the things early. But food is available from nearby restaurants and it's delicious.
