a bit different in a good way

Great location

Beds are plastic feel but I guess it's a hostel. Kitchen dirty

location is great at 400m from the beach (place notre dame) bunk bed has all you need (light, plug, usb, mini fan) together with curtains for the lower beds

Price was quite inflated at 60 euros for one night in a dormitory but maybe that’s how it is in high season in Hossegor.

It is like it looks...wanting-to-be-hipster-place. I liked quite some of the guests it attracted, but that was not really acxomodations responsibility

Well...pre-covid i slept about 60nights/year in hostels and hotels, so i know what i am rating... - place is as it looks. But it is really hard trying to be hipster - so hard it is too much and it does not work out - they hide quite well they belong to accor hotels, so a big anonymous hotel group. Which wabts your money...price-value for breakfast not ok. Everything costs extra (f.e. yoga sessions) and is just nicely overpriced... Though in surfing location no clue about it (they will point you to a shop though) - they have a good marketing team. All messages sound so cool, but in the end try to safe them time and money...and if you habe a question, it is hard to reach them and someone from a teal somewhere in the world will answer. Having no clue how to help you /giving u helpful standard answers. I got a reply about my check-in time even 2 days after check-in. Lovely... - they will bomb you with anonymus messages, for example asking to rate your stay. Well, you wanted it, here we are... -> take these comments from someone travelling like crazy and decide if a smaller and privately owned place would not be really happy to host ypu and not just a clicl on a marketing spamlist

Jo&Joe is well located for a stay in Hossegor - not in the centre but a short walk from both the beach and town. Due to its size, it is possible to meet a variety of people.

There was no air conditioning in the room and the only thing available was a tiny fan above the beds - I would expect at least a standard sized fan at a minimum. The reception from the staff was frosty and they seemed more interested in hanging out with each other than providing a helpful service for customers (this doesn't apply to all staff).

nice yard, good restaurant, close access to the beach, good family room

laundromat did not work perfectly (dryer was broken)

very clean, isolated bathrooms and showers

a large space but difficult to meet others people

Really cool place, just like the pictures. we got the private room and was great!

unfortunately we were there on monday and the bar was closed. I can imagine is super nice when something is happening there :)
