If you are craving some downtime, there is no better place than this quant lake house. Imagine sipping on a cold cocktail under a canopy of trees overlooking a lake. It was great.

Overall, this is a great property to enjoy the Lake Austin activities and west Austin area (most everything in Austin ~30 min or less). The home is on the waterfront and tucked in dense lush beautiful foliage. The pictures accurately portray the home. It is not updated but it is quaint and what you would expect for a lake house. There are kayaks available to use and lots of outdoor sitting space. The grill is charcoal so if you want to grill, be sure to have that. The hosts were very communicative and responsive, having provided lots of suggestions for what to do. The checkin process was extremely simple and easy. Unfortunately, the weather did not allow for sitting outside much, but we did watch the sun set from the dock one night and it was spectacular. Great place for a family getaway for sure!

This was our second stay. Our kids begged us to go back. They loved relaxing by the water, kayaking, and fishing. We also floated in tubes off the deck and grilled outside. It's so convenient to have the kayaks, lifejackets, and tubes available on site. The water level was great despite the drought. The house and back decks have a cozy, overgrown vibe. Definitely not an upscale place but it's perfect for our family and budget and has everything you could need for your stay.

This house was right on the lake easy for fishing and swimming. A nice place to stay if you enjoy the lake! Also was easy communicating and getting everything we needed. Very friendly and would definitely stay here again!

No problems at all checking in and out. More household amenities left for guests than I anticipated. A very nice touch. You really only need your toothbrush and toothpaste. A/C was excellent. Layout was just as described by hosts. Lake was beautiful and all the action went right by the deck. Quiet during day and night. Didn’t even hear traffic but home is on a dead end street. Within about 5 minutes to local HEB and a new galleria of shops with a cinema. Lots of nice restaurants with a wide range of prices. Beautiful scenery. You do need to be able to travel up and down numerous stairs to get to different levels of house but the views are worth it.

If you’re looking for luxury at this location, then do that. And invite me, haha. Otherwise, this spot is a gem!

The place worked very well for our group. The dock was shaded by several large trees, and was our daily gathering place. Parking was a bit cramped, but we managed.

Quirky home with fabulous decks and docks and location can’t be beat. Lots of room with futon in the octogon game room and sofa bed in the living room, plus 2 bedrooms. Lots of stairs but such a wonderful lake experience. Owner was very attentive. Hope to rent again.

The ski slope house was awesome. I loved all the greenery on the property, something that really made our house special and standout. We had so much fun jumping in the lake anytime we wanted and we rented a boat one day that picked us up from our dock! Will be back for sure.

This property was exactly as advertised, and the host' communication was great. There was more than enough space for our family of 4. We enjoyed kayaking, floating, and fishing, and it was so nice to have everything we needed there rather than trying to transport it all with us. It was exactly the laid back get away we wanted. Our kids said it was like a house from an old disney movie, with old charm and fun surprises. Don't expect updated new amenities, but the price can't be beat for this comfortable getaway.

This is a wonderful house and beautiful property. The communication was excellent and Sharon provided everything we could possibly need. Water was chilly, but we still took advantage of all the water toys provided and included our own ‘Polar Bear Plunge’ challenge. Really enjoyed our time and made some new family memories.

This was just as advertised - not super updated, but great value for a location right on the water. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed the games and puzzles available. The dock was perfect for our family to spend time and we hiked a lot at nearby locations. We will definitely come again. The owners were very available, but didn't really need their assistance, as the house was as communicated. Thank you for a great vacation.
