It is a peaceful and beautiful place in a countryside. Our hosts were very nice, the room and bathroom were clean and spacious and the food in the restaurant was amazing.

It was like staying in a quaint mountain chalet. The room was comfortable and quiet. Easy to park. Owner was very friendly and helpful.

The host and staff bent over backwards to make sure everything was perfect. We had a memorable stay and would recommend La Era to anyone.

The food was delicious both breakfast and dinner. Our room was very pretty and there was a nice lounge and outdoor space. It was a very local place which was nice as you got the feel of the real Spain .The room was a short walk from the hotel where we ate. The host was brilliant and made such great efforts to communicate and listened very patiently to our spanish! It was a beautiful area with storks nesting,lakes and a huge swing, worth walking up to have a go! Will certainly go back. We got a little box of biscuits as we left too.

Lario is a delightful rural village with spectacular views over the Cantabrian mountains. We arrived during cold, windy weather during a snowfall at the bar/cafe La Era and were relieved to receive a warm welcome, cosy fire and delicious coffee served by the obliging proprietor. Our room was perfectly heated, clean and comfortable with a lovely view. The Era restaurant does a simple, yet delicious, reasonably priced menu del día at lunchtime. The breakfast was continental and adequate for our needs. The proprietor and staff are friendly and helpful. A small, family-run casa rural like La Era with a bar and restaurant nearby are truly gems for travellers/hikers in areas where so many villages are abandoned. We can highly recommend La Era in Lario.

Breakfast was good although gluten-free was not available. Extremely friendly hospitable staff - nice gesture of a little farewell gift at the end. Lovely walks and views

There are four rooms in a well preserved old stone house with wooden floors and ceilings. There's a small kitchen and sitting areas downstairs. Good heating, which you can adjust yourself. I was made very welcome and spent an excellent four days in Lario, walking about the local hills and mountains, with a warm dry place to return to in the evening.

Lovely local building. Felt very at home. Use of a kitchen was great. Friendly staff and the restaurant was near by.
