arrived 28th, first impressions were good. We got room service on the 29th, 6pm. By 3am both of us had food poisoning and couldn’t leave hotel room for 3 days (had to cancel all dinner reservations at our cost) worst food poisoning we have ever had. had to spend €60 euros for room service water as we couldn’t make the shops, outrageous. When we discussed with hotel they gave us 2 cocktail vouchers as a way of apology. (cocktails exactly what you want when you have had food poisoning) Upon checkout there was nothing offered in a way of making amends, other than ‘we will be in touch’. 5 days have passed, I was hoping I would have heard from the hotel with some sort of compensation, however realise we are not going to hear back from then, hence why I am now leaving this review. it’s a shame as the hotel seems nice, however the food and the way this experience was handled leaves a bitter taste and will not be returning again. This is my first ever bad review in 10+ years of booking hotels via booking.com, however this completely ruined our holiday and for the price of the hotel (over £3,500) i would have expected much more in the way of a fair resolution.

Very comfortable beds, spacious rooms, good food, generous toiletries, comfortable sun loungers, good quality furnishings, big TV with good choice of channels, helpful and courteous staff. Complimentary sun cream was a nice touch.

Open plan bathroom is not particularly private, bit off the beaten track location wise. Refridgerated buffet produce needs to be colder

Everything was just perfect, a real luxury hotel. The staff was super professional and nice, and the food was the best we had in Tenerife.

Parking is at additional cost, but you can park for free in the street next to the hotel.

Fabulous hotel in the gorgeous la Cata and only a short taxi ride to main centre. Close to local fishing village with shop and restaurants

The staff is spectacular because they truly care about their guests. Example given, Andres. He was a waiter on the rooftop pool, and he was absolutely amazing in terms of friendliness and he truly enjoyed making our time with him a pleasure. The woman with short hair who ran the breakfast in the morning: same thing ... outstanding staff members!

On Thursday 2nd June there was an issue with the water in the hotel. It was first switched off for maintenance (which we were not informed of) and then when it was turned on, it was brown for the rest of the day (pictures below). We called repeatedly to reception to have this rectified or even for an update and were told each time someone would call us back, which never happened. We were offered a replacement room to shower at least, but when this was chased, we were again promised a call back which again did not happen. The water was either off/unusable for the vast majority of the day. While we can appreciate an issue such as this affecting the entire hotel - the attention to detail and care from the hotel left a lot to be desired and clouded our otherwise lovely stay. We should have been made aware in this first place the water was due to be off and the staff should have taken more ownership/responsibility to ensure we were informed of the progress.

The whole service team was awesome!!!! You made our stay wonderful. We felt like home - thank you!!!

The rooms are very comfortable with a beautiful view. The breakfast is amazing and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly.

Was strange that water was free with breakfast but 5 euros a bottle at dinner! Not a deal breaker, just think they should include water at the very least for dinner :)
