I hardly ever give one star ratings, but the Face Aparthotel deserves this assessment due to their horrible staff. We are not referring to the front desk staff with whom we did not interact but rather the "caretaker" who answered the phone on Christmas Day when we called to complain about the lack of heat. This person berated us for bothering her on Christmas. She told us we were inconsiderate to call with complaints on Christmas Day when she was trying to spend time with her family. We said, if you don't want to answer the phone to respond to legitimate complaints on Christmas Day, then don't rent rooms on Christmas. Apparently, this woman had no problem taking our money on Christmas Day. She just did not want to earn it. It was not as if we were calling because we had nothing better to do. We were calling to complain about the lack of heat - i.e. a basic amenity. Every time we called, the person said, "Don't worry, the heat will come on. It just takes a little time." Well, this runaround took place over the course of many hours, and the heat never came on. Finally, the horrible, rude woman turned off her phone and stopped taking our calls. We were forced to complain to booking.com. Thankfully, booking.com took care of us and provided a partial refund. Once booking.com stepped in, magically, the unprofessional woman starting communicating with us again. She and her electrician boyfriend stopped by to examine the apartment. They said, "There's ice and snow outside, but the apartment is warmer than the outside so you should be fine." Seriously? Is this the standard? As long as it is above 0˚C in the apartment, we should be fine? Never mind that we were shivering under the blankets and our faces and noses were cold like we were camping. So long as water is not freezing in the apartment, we should be A-okay.

Spacious. Close to many places of interest. Quiet.

Location, very convinent to public transportation. Staff at reception is nice and friendly. The apartment is very clean.

The wifi connection in our room is not stable, it can be lost easily The mattress and pillow are just too soft for me, I'm used to harder ones

A little bit spartan when it comes to equipment, like no spare pillows, blankets, toiletries etc. No oven tray. WIFi is poor. Stuff is seldom at reception. However, for us, that was minor and we did like the property.

We loved the location, there is plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance from the apartment.

The only thing we found difficult was the language barrier as when we got there a member of staff could not communicate in English language.

Nice located ,clean and spacious appartment. Very happy of the stay. I would recommend.

WiFi internet very choppy. They clearly have issues that they are trying to address

- WiFi did not work - heater was turned on in the middle of summer, no way to turn it off - reception was never occupied - FaceAparthotel did not respond to e-mails / question about the WiFi -no water boiler
