The room in this guesthouse had a very nice decoration, was very clean and felt like being rather new - everything in very good shape. Check in and out where easy based on the instructions provided by email upfront. The value for money was great. Since there is no staff present on-site I cannot comment on that. We also didn’t use the kitchen - it looked very well equipped and inviting, though.

The building is beautifully located on a grassy hill - literally in the middle of nowhere, though. There is absolutely no infrastructure (restaurants, shops, gas stations, …) nearby. For all that you have to drive 20 minutes back to Egilsstaðir.

It’s a little far from the ring road (20 minutes) and the last 8 minutes on the main road is on an unpaved road/gravel road. It would of been nice to be informed of this before our stay.

A wonderful place for aurora watching. We saw the aurora here! The owner is very kind and he kept us informed of weather alert.

Not huge, but perfectly equipped with everything you might need. Very comfortable bed.

The only thing lacking were a few shelves for our stuff. As most people seem to stay for only one night, it would probably not be an issue for them.

Very nice guesthouse with well equipped kitchen and cozy living room. We were allowed to visit the farm around the guesthouse and pad the horses. But be reminded do not feed the horses.

Location was little far away from the main ring road. There were road construction during our visit and need to drive on gravel road. Rental car with sand and gravel protection cover insurance policy is recommended
