We enjoyed our stay at River Tide very much. The house is beautiful and the scenery around it is stunning. We kayaked, watched the birds, visited the local lighthouses and enjoyed just being together in the home. This was our first trip to Maine and it did not disappoint. I would have happily stayed longer...

We were impressed by the level of cleanliness, comfort, and overall layout of the home. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, cooking equipment, and basic spices we needed as avid cooks. Beds were firm, which we prefer, and linens were clean and fresh. Especially helpful was the tide chart for timing use of the kayaks. Other details and communication were fully outlined in a binder. The location of the home allowed us to explore virtually every hiking trail on the peninsula and beyond. We were honored and delighted to have the opportunity to stay in this little piece of heaven.

Kitchen with island had all the things we needed to cook with: pots, pans, cutting boards, etc and plenty of dishes and glassware. The grill was great too. Huge dining table for games and eating. We did several puzzles as a family. We loved the patios. There was always a wonderful breeze in the living room despite hot weather. And lovely for birdwatching. Midway to Owls Head and Port Clyde. The kayaks were fun and the cove had calm water and was wake-free.

We enjoyed our stay immensely and would recommend the property to families (we stayed with our 3.5 year old). The house was well appointed to cook, grill, lounge and play. We used the kayaks multiple times and found the variety of options helpful for varying skill levels. Putting the kayaks in behind the house was relatively easy and the protected areas made for enjoyable, low-key excursions. The wifi was good for the occasional work video conference and the tv/cable options were plentiful when staying in. The location was convenient when going up to Rockland/Camden to dine at Primo or sail in Rockland harbor, for coffee at Flipside in Thomaston, or within Tenants Harbor for fried chicken sandwiches at Ancho Honey or lobster rolls at McLoon's Lobster Shack.

We truly enjoyed our stay. The property was well situated and we enjoyed exploring the area. The kitchen was well appointed and we used it to our advantage. We also enjoyed the kayaks. Just make sure you pay attention to the tide charts provided. We would definitely rent this property again and highly recommend it.

Lovely location and views just the right distance between Rockland and Port Clyde. A well designed, comfortable house that works well and has great views of the cove and shore front from every room. Owner is very responsive and communicates quickly to any questions,

Phillip's house was beautiful and he was a fantastic and responsive host. The house was very thoughtfully designed around the cove. Incredibly well stocked for cooking. Plenty of kayaks, which we definitely took advantage of. Amazing place to watch birds if that's your things. Three comfortable bedrooms (including an amazing master). Would highly recommend.

We gathered at the River Tide with our family, it was perfect for our 21 year old daughters, as well as my husband and I. The home presents itself just as the photos showed. There were no surprises. (A good thing). The home is spacious, clean, private and on the river. Philip, the owner is very hands on and quick to reply. The home would be a terrific spot for any type of a get-a-away. From young kids, to older generations or just a friends stay. Its near Camden and Rockland and we even took a day trip to Acadia. I would easily recommend staying here. The only aspect to keep in mind, if you like to kayak, or swim in the river, keep a tides chart handy, it goes in and out multiple times a day. Enjoy!!

We are so grateful to the owners of this stunning property for our wonderful two-week holiday there. The property is beautiful: architectural design ensures tidal views from every corner; wooden interiors and abundant light (even in January!) elevate every moment; and the wood-burning stove keeps every corner of the house toasty warm. The master bedroom must be amongst the most fabulous in the world. The kitchen is better stocked than most homes and certainly all rentals. We were excited based on photos of the property, but it is far more beautiful and inviting in person. The location was fantastic for outdoor enthusiasts. The safe waters of the cove are perfect for swimming, kayaking, wildlife-watching and more challenging water lies just beyond the cove. Watching the cove change with the ebb and flow of the tide was the perfect antidote to modern life.

We had a great stay here, and would recommend it to anyone. The house is comfortably furnished, and the kitchen is large, well-equipped, and great for cooking. The location on the cove is fantastic for bird-watchers, or for sitting in an adirondack chair and just watching the tide go out or come in. The owner is super responsive and helpful. Hopefully we'll be able to return for a future stay.

What a find- seclusion, beauty, nature.

Very much enjoyed our stay in Tenants Harbor. Six old friends spent the week kayaking and sitting by the cove, just loving the late summer beauty of the cove. The house is great and comfortable.

We have stayed in Maine many times over the years. This property captured our hearts, not only was the location ideal, Phillip and family are incredibly thoughtful hosts. Every detail is considered, making our stay so comfortable. Our kids took full advantage of the outdoors - kayaking or just lounging on the rocks by the water and enjoying the peaceful setting. We loved every minute. Thank you for making this a perfect end to summer.

We stayed for a week in July and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The home’s layout is extremely usable. The furniture is tasteful but not fussy. The kitchen is well designed and stocked. Small but excellent collection of books. They provides a solid kayak quiver for exploring at high and half-tide. There are great breezes in the afternoons that keep most of the bugs away. Communication from owner was excellent. Highly recommended.

Philip is a great host! The property was just as described, with a beautiful setting and fully stocked with all amenities and supplies needed for our family. All ages thoroughly enjoyed the easy access to the St. George river for swimming and boating. The house is beautifully crafted and in excellent condition.

We spent two weeks with friends at Philip's place, and had a terrific time cooking, paddling at high tide and enjoying the peace and quiet at home as well as the low-key pleasures of the St. George Peninsula. The hosts were thoughtful, helpful and communicative, and the home is beautifully designed - we can't wait to return!

We stayed here for nine, quiet, peaceful nights while the Covid-19 virus was closing down the rest of the world. The house is in a fairytale setting with water views from almost every window. It is clean and warm. The beds are firm and comfortable. The kitchen is stocked with everything one might need. Philip, the host, was quickly available to answer any questions we had. He is quite knowledgeable about the area and pointed us to some spectacular local walks. Our hope is to visit again next year.

We had a great time in mid-coast Maine. The property was beautiful and very comfortable. One day we lost power due to a storm and the owner was available to help us be comfortable, even offering a refund if we chose to leave early. We will definitely use this property again if we return to Maine.

We truly enjoyed our time at this unique property. Sparkling clean. Lovely ever-changing views. Screened porch. Kayaks. Well stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds. All in all, it was perfect.

Five adults stayed for a week celebrating a birthday... and the property was fantastic. The location on the cove was beautiful and the house is very well equipped and inviting. Little details like reading lights on both sides of the bed, extra beach towels available, and lots of books and games meant a lot to all of us. Everyone said they would like to stay here again, as it is so convenient to so many attractions and is its own little oasis of relaxation.

My family enjoyed a wonderful week in a beautiful location.

We loved our stay in St. George. The kayaking was amazing and the entire house and property were well set up for relaxing, cooking, and just being together as a family. The house is absolutely gorgeous and we couldn't have asked for anything more in terms of amenities. This was by far the most well equipped rental we've ever stayed at, and incredibly clean and well cared for.

The house was a perfect home base for my family of four to explore the area. The house itself is spotless, well-equipped and tastefully decorated. My kids loved the swings, the hammock and the rope structure in the yard, and we all enjoyed having access to the kayaks. The screen porch is so pleasant, especially when the mosquitoes got bad in the evening. Great place to sit and watch the birds in the cove. The general area near the house is stunning and provided plenty of activity for the week. This being our first family trip to Maine, we weren't sure where to stay and chose this spot pretty randomly, but I'm so glad we did. Port Clyde and Tenant's Harbor are both picturesque villages a very short drive away with beautiful views and good food. Also very close to Rockland and Camden, and after spending a day in each, we were happy to be able to return to the relative peace and quiet of the house. Wouldn't hesitate to rent this house again, if only we lived closer!

We had an amazing time at River Tide for our family vacation. The house was very clean and it was nice to be able to sit and relax in the Adirondack chairs overlooking the ocean. My son and I had an epic experience kayaking at dusk with the wildlife. We were able to hike in Camden, bike to Port Clyde, and enjoy some time on Monhegan Island. It was truly a great family vacation!

River Tide was more than expected and is such a beautiful property. The house is newly finished, well maintained with beautiful hardwood floors and exposed beams throughout. We found the house immaculately clean when we arrived. The amenities will likely satisfy any family having the opportunity to stay. From within the home (plenty of beautiful windows) and back of the property you have a wonderful view of the cove which leads into the larger body of water. The tides move in and out twice a day with water levels changing quite drastically. It’s amazing to see the tidal water changing right before your eyes. The area is quite tranquil and peaceful. We enjoyed having our morning coffee on the covered porch watching the birds and tide. Our family originally planned on spending more time relaxing rather than being active, however there are many activities and sights to see in the surrounding area of mid-coast. Port Clyde and Tenants Harbor are very close. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to use the kayaks that Philip provided. Being our children hadn’t been kayaking prior to this trip, we thought it best to have a little guidance and tutoring on a guided kayak tour down at Port Clyde Kayaks. We also took the ferry from Port Clyde to Monhegan Island to spend the afternoon hiking. If you are a hiker or don’t mind a little climbing, the views on Monhegan cliffs are breath taking. Some of the other activities/areas that we were able to enjoy and worth a visit in our opinion… Whale watching in Boothbay Harbor with Capt’n Fishes (saw fin whales, porpoises, and seals). Boothbay Harbor is a pretty town with plenty of shops and restaurants; Owls Head Transportation Museum; Rockport; Rockland; Monhegan Island; Knox Museum. Philip made himself readily available if needed. He was also very timely in responding to any questions that we had prior to our arrival.
