The breakfast was very good and easy to reach the cafe just over the road

Wir hatten das Glück, einen Raum mit eigenem Bad zu haben. Das Badezimmer war sehr sauber und ordentlich, ebenso das Zimmer. Das Bett war sehr bequem. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und über alles wichtige informiert. Direkt neben dem Gasthaus finden sich ein Liquorstore und ein Restaurant, das "Hungry Ghost", in dem es möglich wäre, zu Abend zu essen. Und auf der gegenüberliegenden Straßenseite wäre das Restaurant, in dem wir unser Frühstück erhalten hätten.
Es handelt sich um ein reines Gästehaus. Im Gebäude selber ist kein Mitarbeiter oder sind die Besitzer anwesend. nur beim Check-in hatten wir Kontakt mit der Vermieterin gehabt. Direkt neben dem Haus befindet sich ein Liquorstore. Dadurch halten sich in der Nachbarschaft nicht gerade vertrauenserweckende Personen auf. Wir haben uns hier nicht wohl gefühlt, hatten, trotz des sehr bequemen Bettes, eine unruhige Nacht und sind am nächsten Morgen, unmittelbar nach dem Aufstehen, wieder aufgebrochen.

Truly the most comfortable bed we have found in our overnight stays and it was in a big well appointed en-suite room. The house was well renovated on a neat plot.
No local host to hear of things to do in the area, no communal place to meet other guests. No fancy views, no fancy garden but fit for purpose - YES - an over night sleep in a great bed.

Lovely breakfast included at Aloe cafe. Beautiful building. Lovely large room. Our evening at the Hungry Ghost next door was awesome.
Would be nice if the front security gate locked.

Breakfast at the African Aloe Cafe (part of our deal) was outstanding! Lovely environment, food was delicious and the people so friendly and inviting!

Well-kept old manor house with comfortable rooms. Susan was an excellent hostess and communicated well. The accommodation was all we could have hope for, and the breakfast at the Aloe Cafe was delicious. Well worth a visit.

Conveniently located to a coffee shop, Atm and restaurant across the road. They have good provision with lighting when it is loadshedding.

Every single thing. The accommodation was simply beautiful. It was centrally located. We absolutely loved our stay.

It was safe, quiet and well positioned . We appreciated the safe shady parking for our motorbike. Susanna was informative and wonderful. She met us at the Hungry Ghost restaurant and showed us where to go.It was also well equipped for load shedding power outages . The breakfast across the road was generous and tasty .Great value for money.

It was in the main road (Uniondale only has one main road). So we walked everywhere - dinner and breakfast the next morning.
The hostess lied to us about a restaurant I asked her about. Uniondale is really small - probably only about 3 restaurants in the whole town. I googled on TripAdvisor where to go for dinner, and found a lovely place. When I asked her about it, and showed her my screenshot, she said she did not know it. Not sure how this is possible!! We went to the restaurant and told them about our hostess and they were not surprised. Anyway we had a lovely dinner there. Die Watermeul Restaurant

All the details of the guesthouse where looked after and the breakfast was exceptional.

We had breakfast that their coffee shop and that was good. The stay itself was also good. Maybe also ask for any allegies. We are allergic to feathers and that can be a problem if the duvet inners and cushions.
