On The Rocks is exactly as advertised. The camp is well appointed, very clean, and mere steps away from George's Pond. Enjoy beautiful sunsets with the call of loons and take advantage of the available kayaks to explore and see an eagle or two. Visit Northeast Harbor and be sure to stop in at Colonel's Restaurant and Bakery....you can't go wrong with any selection. Many thanks to our hosts for a great stay! We look forward to coming back!

The property was a very clean, quiet, restful place to return to after a day of sightseeing. My husband and I enjoyed having the kayaks available…sunset on the lake is beautiful.

Everything was great. I had some trouble finding the cottage using my Motorola Droid Max (Android) Google Maps. It sent me down the wrong driveway and was consistently wrong finding the address. It told me to turn on Benton Lane. On the otherhand, the Google Maps on my work I-Phone was spot on correct in locating the address. I am not sure why. The propane gas tank for the grill was empty. However, the Caretaker got it replaced that same day.

Cabin was beautiful. Right on George's Pond beautiful area. Comfy beds, roomy kitchen and bath for a Cabin, plenty of relaxing area after a day of hiking in Acadia. We loved it!

Our George’s Pond stay was splendid. Our hosts were very accommodating and run a great place on the pond. The location proved quite breathtaking at dawn, dusk, sunny and cloudy. Moonlit or sunlit, our camp time was water and sky beauty. The charming indoor cabin area is small but well utilized. Enough sleeping space and an open unit for the communal area. I liked the multi-purpose stools for extra seating or as side table. Additionally, the butcher block table design offers up lots of uses. Comfortably spotless...go housekeeping! The mattresses were firm and made for well rested mornings. Bathroom and kitchen were well stocked: two observations from this traveler, 2-3 ply toilet paper and paper towels may be a worthwhile added expense to please old farts like me. Also a couple of small bowls/ramekins would be a nice addition to the kitchen at a minimum of expense. People who do a lot of their own cooking often find a need for these. We appreciated your flexibility with our Maine friends, it was so good to see them. Happy to recommend “On the Rocks” to any and all Acadia bound visitors. The wild blueberry fields were a warm welcome as we approached the camp. Thank you thank you Mark and Stephanie.

Oh my gosh....this place was just delightful. Immaculate inside and out, and the view was gorgeous. Loons early morning and evening, a bald eagle, and even a pair of otters one evening. We loved it and can't recommend it enough. We stayed there with plans for the 20 mile drive to Acadia Park - which we did twice, but one day we hiked 5 miles away on Hidden Lake Trails near Donnell Pond. This cabin is a delight!

The house was great. You can sit and view the lake while drinking your coffee. Quiet and beautiful.

Off the beaten path and worth the drive while visiting Acadia NP. This property is beautiful and clean. The host was very easy to work with and answered all my questions very quickly.

Everything was as described! We had a very nice stay! Close to Bar Harbor and Acadia National park! We are lunch at the owner’s restaurant in North Harbor… highly recommend!

House had everything we needed. Kayaks were awesome and handy. Pics of the place were very accurate. Enjoyed our stay immensely.

We stayed here for a long weekend with intentions of hiking Acadia multiple days but had a hard time pulling ourselves away from this beautiful lake. The house was perfect and had everything we needed. We used the kayaks daily and my husband could have fished all day. We would love to visit again!!

This property and get away was exactly what I was looking for, it couldn’t have better represented in the listing, absolutely breathtaking!! Thank you so much and we would love to come back next year! We did not want to leave!! The sunsets, the fishing, the water, everything was perfect.

We enjoyed use of the cabin. It is well appointed. We loved our time kayaking on the lake. The Loons sang there songs to each other. Very picturesque.

Our entire experience was top notch. The cottage was exactly as stated and pictured. It was well stocked with hand soap, dish soap, detergent, tp, paper towels, napkins, spices. Very handy and appreciated. Owner was very responsive to questions. Only downside was that our stay had to come to an end. Would definitely visit again.
