The room was nice and clean and really well located.

The problem with this place is that there is no staff present or available for emergencies. During our stay one of the units was rented out for a massive party that ran from 2am to 10 am the following day (8 hours). The party took place on a patio right outside our window and in a lower unit with a shared stone stairwell that amplified the sound). We tried and tried to reach the property manager all night long and there was no answer to the phone or to messaging. While I believe the property was lied to by the people who held the party it is just not acceptable to not have anyone available to help. We were kept up for the entire night. When we did reach the manager in the morning (he said he did not respond in the night because he was sleeping) he was very nice and jumped right on it. The situation required intervention by the Panama City Police and I had to provide photos and a written statement to the police, which I was happy to do. We were also given a refund for that one night. It should also be noted that the building is only as secure as the guests make it. Since there is no one available to help, the party people unlocked the doors and 50+ people were in the building with no supervision. They were roaming the halls and stairs shouting and partying, and when we asked them to be quiet they threatened us with their gestures and behavior. We could not go outside to find the police because they were between us and the door to the building. Without a promise that someone can be reached 24 hours a day I would not stay at Diamontes. It is just not safe or quiet without that assurance. I do want to say that the property manager was very responsive once he got up in the morning to find our many messages, but he was staying at a farm somewhere not nearby and had no one to send over to help right away. Things need to change in terms of management so you can feel safe at the property and get a good night's sleep.

Location was ideal, small but very clean and comfortable, short walk to everything in Casco Viejo. Personal 4th floor veranda.

I think there was a communication gap... an unknown person knocked on the door with a charge card machine to collect payment. I didn't expect this, he had no proof of legitimacy and this just seemed odd.

The location is perfect, it is very close to the going out areas however at the hotel it is very calm. The room we got was great it is named “cute room”, indeed it is cute, comfortable with kitchenette and laundry room. It also has a big terrace.

We loved everything

My stay at Los Diamantes was amazing. The mini apartment that I got was at the top floor and it had a fantastic view over the old the town. The place was equipped with all the facilities that a traveler needs: a small kitchen, a laundry and drying machine, air conditioning, fast internet etc. The apartment was very clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Finally, the location was super central and safe; right at the heart of the old town.
