Arena Hostal is newly renovated. It is very clean. The location was just perfect. Our room was big and confy. Hot shower with good water pressure. Our room was the only one on this side of the corridor so we did not have any noise from the street or the other travelers. Breakfast is in the attached Arena cafe and its basic, but we only cared about the coffee. Thanks to Liset from the reception for organizing our Ballestas Islands tour. We were not able to do the Golden Shadow trek because there were no more people but us 2 and the trek requires at least 4 people, so Liset organized a private car for us and we spent fabulous 3 hours in the Reserva Nacional de Paracas for a half of the price of the Golden Shadow Trek.

Generally a very nice place to stay. Breakfast is served at the café next door - they have a lovely range of food and drinks for any time of the day. However the breakfast is limited to only one of three very simple and small choices; one is only two slices of jam, bread and butter alongside coffee and fresh juice. It would be nice to offer a little more, such as cereal and a small pastry or cake alongside; or allow a small supplement to have one of the other options.

Breakfast very simple, either jam, eggs or vegetarian, not together, weak internet connection, there was window into the external very narrow corridor, so we couldn't open it or pull curtain unless someone saw us, the room was therefore very dark, we always had to turn on the light, some little mold in the bathroom

I was a bit surprised with lack of day light in the room (there was no windows to the outside, windows were to the corridors of the building, inside the building), so they need to stay cover all the time, as we were on the ground floor. I wouldn’t recommend for longer stay, however for one night was ok. Staff didn’t speak English at all, unfortunately

breakfast is VERY basic. the room smelled terribly (apparently because of Desinfection) you could hardly breath. had to sit outside for 1 hour with ventilator on & door and windows open.

This is a great place to stay in Paracas. It’s right by the main square and boats for the Islas. Breakfast in the cafe was one of the best we had in Peru. Hotel was very clean and comfortable. There were no english speaking staff while we were there but we managed fine and they did their best to help with our requests. We highly recommend.
