Loved the location and the facilities were really good eg tv in every room, modern decor, a fab hot tub. The rooms were also spacious.

In general, the house needs a deep clean as the settee and especially the lounge rug were quite dirty. There were also dubious stains on bedding linen. However, on the whole, main areas such as the kitchen and bathrooms were clean.

The house is exceptionally well-situated for both the shops and restaurants and the river walk. There is a big, 24 hr car park very close by. It was handy to have two good showers and plenty of hot water for a group of 6 women. Bathrooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen seems to be fairly well equipped, but we didn't really use it as we ate out.

It would have been nice to have a bit of washing up liquid and a tea towel, particularly as instructions said to leave dishwasher empty. The soft furnishings downstairs and the carpets were in need of a deep clean. Overall, the house needs some TLC to repair scuffed paintwork etc and we did not fancy using the hot tub! Most importantly, the leak from the flat roof through the light fitting over the dining table, which has been mentioned by several reviewers, has not been repaired, and one member of our group got a mild electric shock from the floor lamp in the dining area due to a loose wire. These health and safety issues require urgent attention.

Quite a nice house if you squint. And then you realise it’s got quite a few maintenance issues; - there’s a major leak coming through the living room ceiling onto the dining table - both the bathroom door locks need fixing, esp downstairs as it’s impossible to use without getting locked in - The slats of the double bed on the top floor are broken. - same issue for the twin beds. Slats broken. - the dishwasher is rocking backwards and isn’t washing properly, lots of residue on crockery - the filter on the hot tub is not sounding happy at all (high pitched whine). - a tile has fallen off the shower edge in the downstairs toilet. - the issue with the backdoor doesn’t look to be a new issue … takes a degree to work out how to shut - awning over hottub had broken free so was flapping into the tub. I reported all of these issues after our stay but got no response from the agents. We also received no response about retrieving an item we accidentally left in the house.

Excellent location to explore Shrewsbury and its surrounds. The house is well-equipped and generally comfortable. For seven adults it was spacious enough not to feel cramped. Parking is difficult in Shrewsbury but fortunately there is a cheap weekly rate at the Council Abbey Foregate car park about 400 metres away.

The property does need someone to go round and check things are working as they should. The downstairs TV reception was very poor, the signal breaking up regularly, and lights in the dining room had not been screwed in enough such that they 'fizzed' regularly until we worked out what was wrong. The lack of hand towels in the two bathrooms was an oversight (although bath towels were provided for each of us). There was also a problem with the upper floor front bedroom in that the floor slopes considerably so the bed is on an angle. Not easy to fix but it made sleeping difficult (and slightly unnerving!) and perhaps something to raise the downside of the bed is needed. We were also disappointed not to have anywhere to sit outdoors as the first floor area was locked and no key was available. We didn't use the hot tub (and it seemed a waste to have it heated all week while we were there), but it is in such a confined space that we couldn't have used that space either. Possibly it's a selling point for the property but our view was that it would be better to remove it altogether.

The hot tub didn't work and we couldn't contact anyone for help. There was a sheet and towel missing for the sofa bed which was very uncomfortable for 2 people to sleep on. There needs to be a contact number clearly dis pled for issues which need rectifying. I emailed for advice a ot the hot tub and towel etc when I was actually at the house but heard nothing.
