Everything about Beech Hill was incredible. Gorgeous architecture and interior design with great attention paid to small touches. Idyllic setting with walks and gloworms from the door. Minutes from lots to do and close to Coastal taste trail. Owner, Nic, was incredibly kind and made us feel so welcome. Her ambassador, the pup Frankie, made my kids entire trip to New Zealand. Wish we could have stayed longer and hope to one day return.

Location was great for visiting family. Nice country set up.

Location is excellent. Close to Nelson, Mapua and Kaiteriteri. Loved the forest around us. House was clean, it was actually bigger than how I imagined. Really cosy place and quiet. We had two dogs with us and they also had a great time. There are plenty of dog friendly walks close by, so again location is great Nic was very nice. She was there when we arrived and it was good to chat with her. She showed us in, gave us tips where to eat and go with the dogs. But also she has a folder with all the important information about her place and the area.

This property is perfect if you are looking for a quiet place to stay with amazing hosts! The lodge is really well appointed and has a really premium feel with quality fittings throughout. The family live up the road and could not have been more welcoming allowing our horse-mad 7yr old to help with grooming and feeding. The property is set in woodland with local walks and trails if you're feeling energetic and some play equipment for children outside. There's ample parking and you feel entirely secluded in this fabulous lodge. It is some 25km out of Nelson so not so close to restaurants etc. but it's a perfect place for a family stay

It couldn't have been any better......!

The house was wonderful and located in a very peaceful idealic setting. Lots of great outdoor space all around the house. It was also close enough to town, lots of beaches and Abel Tasman National Park. Nic, the host was very nice and helpful! One of our favorite places we've stayed during our trip to NZ.

The place was easy to find but at the same time had a sense of remoteness which made for a relaxing stay. The house had everything we needed (including a washing machine which was fantastic) and was very comfortable for the three of us. The childrens play equipment outside and animals across the property were also a highlight for our little one. As a bonus there are a number of wineries close by with excellent meal options.

The place was perfect for us and we would gladly stay again.

This is a lovely little house in the forest. It is clean, comfortable and warm. I loved the bedding and extra blankets and all the little things. The location is great for a short stop and the animals and glow worms are really worth meeting on a family trip.

The kitchen is limited but there are plenty of food places in Mapua wharf.
