Great location… close to the Ark, ice cream store, gym, restaurant, Walmart. Very peaceful neighborhood. Lawrence was very pleasant and a great conversationalist.

We enjoyed our stay so much! We booked so we could be close to the Ark Encounter (the Creation Museum is about 40 minutes away). Lawrence was wonderful and welcoming. We are so thankful we got to stay in a little sliver of history! We couldn’t recommend it enough.

It was perfect! Very, very clean the decor fit the title perfectly. The outside and grounds was lovely. It was the perfect vacation home. I was so lucky to have found this and booked it and instead of a boring old motel.

Authentic” review of Granny’s House. Overall: disappointed and disgusted. Unsafe, LOUD TRAINS ALL NIGHT and creepy. Don’t let the cuteness fool you. Some may say “quaint” I say Smelly and Old. Pre-civil war buil Upon arrival, the door had been left open (soon found out it was left open all night). Felt apprehensive to enter the home because it felt unsafe. Upon bravely entering, I did a hunt for hidden cameras and cleanliness. Found mouse traps and mice feces. Dirty couches and poorly completed “repairs”, and the wrong Wi-Fi code was left on a paper folder. When I called the owner (whom I could tell was very elderly), she informed me she doesn’t handle the bookings anymore and instructed me to go to the garage behind me to go see her brother Lawrence (WHO I LEARNED LIVES ON SITE) to resolve the Wi-Fi issue and MICE POOP cleanup. When I bravely went to visit the home of a stranger in a small town that flies TRUMP flags literally everywhere and still says COLOREDS” in reference to darker skin complexions, I met an 80-something old man who said to me in reference to the mouse poo, lack of security, and Wi-Fi “Welcome to the South”. He rudely said “Well I can give you your money back and you can go find somewhere else to stay”. Excuse me? I drove a very long way and refunds would not be instant, and I’d have no where to stay at all. No offer to come clean the poo or the couch, just a “it is what it is” and there was no fixing the Wi-Fi, and NO STREAMING TV avail anyways.

We were there to see the Ark Encounter which is only about 10 minutes from the property. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by the owner and someone who takes care of the property and they were the nicest people. We spoke for a while and we brought all our stuff in. The house is of the civil war era and it is very quaint. My son loved that he had a desk in his room and he had a bathroom all to himself. The house was clean and the WiFi was good. If we ever go back to the area we would definitely stay there again. Lawrence, the owner, was there when we packed up to leave and gave us a nice send off and made sure everything was OK and it was.

We stayed at Granny’s House while we were in town to visit the Ark Encounter. We enjoyed being close to everything. The homeowner is very kind. It was peaceful staying here.

The place is a good place to stay if your visit is to go to the Ark encounter.

We had a wonderful stay at Granny’s House - it was very comfortable and felt like we were visiting Grandma! The side porch was nice for morning coffee and eating al fresco. Very quiet neighborhood and close to the Ark Encounter. Look forward to another visit.

Beautiful clean town with ample places to eat! Clean, lovely home with all items available for an enjoyable stay! Pretty farm scenery and quaint back porch to relax on. Met the owner, who is a very pleasant, helpful man. Couldnt of had a better stay! Thank you!

My husband and I and our friends absolutely loved our stay here. The guys visited with Larry, (the owner of the property), every evening. We visited The Ark and the Creation Museum. Then the guys headed to the Air Force Museum while we ladies relaxed on the porch. The history of Granny's House is fantastic. Loved reading the news article about it's history. Great place. Such a homey, comfortable historic house. Great location close to highways and the Ark etc. loved father country feeling but also the convenience of Starbucks close by and everything else easy to get to! Would stay again!

Granny's House was so quaint and charming. We truly enjoyed our visit.

Granny's House was amazing. So relaxing and a great old country house feel. Awesome owners with easy access to all things we needed . Great location to Ark and Creation Museum.

11 minutes from the Ark Encounter and 40 minutes from Creation Museum. A good value for the money. Home was very clean. Roomy bedrooms worked fine. Appliances were older but functional. The home has history and is over 130 years old! Enjoyed reading the articles and scripture posted around the house. The host was very welcoming and helpful.

Granny’s house was exceptionally clean, cozy, and down home feeling. I highly recommend this place for your next stay! We plan on returning as well as our friends that came with us.

Loved staying in this quiet charming home with a front porch perfect for watching the sunrise, a place for many to sleep and all the amenities we needed. Lawrence was available at check in and while we mainly slept there, we felt comfortable and calm there. I highly recommend!

Quiet and peaceful

The property is excellently maintained and in a nice quiet location. Communications with the property owner, Lawrence, were equally excellent. As a matter of fact, don't just rush in and rush out. Take some time and spend it connecting with Lawrence. He has some great stories and laughs. If I come down again to the Ark Encounter, I will make it a point to stay at this same locatoin.

We enjoyed the long historical connection. Our grandchildren loved the land, animals and room to stretch out.

We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of Granny’s House. This quaint older home is at the end of the street in a very quiet neighborhood. Beds were very comfortable and while we didn’t cook there, the kitchen was fully furnished. We recommend Granny’s House to anyone planning to visit The Ark Encounter as it is only abt 10 minutes away. Conveniently located.

Kitchen needs appliance upgrades. Cooking supplies need to be replaced. They were very outdated. We had to replace light bulbs. The house itself was a lovely place to stay. We enjoyed the porch. Lovely evenings watching the sun set.

Great stay and easy to get to

We were so blessed by finding and staying in Granny's house. It was everything that was described. The pricing is fair, the house and property are clean, the neighborhood is quiet. Having Lawrence on property was an added bonus. We enjoyed so much our chats over supper and afterwards in his shop. If we ever plan a trip back to Dry Ridge we will stay there again.
