No lift, need to carry all luggages up the stairs. Broken heater, take a few days to fix. No parking near by, need to carry luggages from a distance to this location.

The location was good and the room was clean.

Wii Fi did not work. There was no mention of access when booking the accommodation, instead we were informed in the message prior to our arrival that there was no elevator and we would have to carry our luggage up three extremely narrow flights of stairs. This is not a problem if you are travelling light, however we are an older couple who were holidaying from the other side of the world for 4 weeks. Finally I’m sure that guests would appreciate some quality pillows.

The app system to open the doors

The room is spacious and clean. The sauna is great. With a large TV that allows us to watch Netflix too.

There is no lift in the building so need to walk for two floors with our luggages.

Location was outstanding. Straight out into bars restaurants and 2 minutes into the main tourist street. The walk up the rock also starts just behind the property. Room was excellent and the digital app for accessing the property worked perfectly. We parked at Dafne which was a short uphill walk to the property.

Nothing of significance

The apartment is very well renovated, with a lot of taste and high quality materials. It has everything you need. The location is perfect and is very clean. A housekeeper comes every day for a cleaning and staff is nice, we had good interactions with them.

We had booked a Sauna suite thinking that it had a sofa bed and there is a divan instead. After talking with Riccardo, they moved us to another apartment with a proper sofa bed for our kid. I strongly suggest they changed the description because it leads to undesired bookings and in summer I can imagine that they will not have free apartments available. There is a self-checking system which is great because it gives more flexibility however I think that communication with the staff could be improved. We had to take the lead when communicating with them, i.e. informing when we were arriving so that they could send us instructions for the check in, asking about parking possibilities or informing about the time of the check out.

the host didn’t leave us extra pillows and blanket for the kids and we only found out about this when we were going to bed late at night. as foreigners traveling in Italy, the lack of personal contact with the host makes the experience less charming, but we understand for other guests this may not make any difference

Electronic code did not work for initial entry then locked out again a second time at night for extended period and unable to contact host in a timely manner No live person on site…parking arrangements made by host never materialized 2 flights of 15+ steps each…..in darkness….very difficult. This apartment is in a residential building and the other residents seem fed up with the frequent comings and goings and often yelled abuse Most horrible experience of this 9 week holiday and our 11 years of visiting Italy…….stayed only 1 night tho’ prepaid for 4 (768€) and host denied any refund consideration despite this bad experience I would not recommend this accomodation under any circumstance…..in my many years of travel I have never found it necessary to leave such a negative review.

Great retreat in a really good location. Nice and central but not right in the middle of town which suits me just fine! Some really delicious local restaurants within a 2-3 minute walk and a cute wine bar across the road also. Huge room, lots of space (personally found the sauna next to the bed a little odd but am sure it gets plenty of use).

I'm not the first person to say this but the digital key system is ridiculously complicated. We had been travelling all day, it was hot and nowhere to park the car and I had hoped checking into the room would be straight forward - which it wasn't. I am reasonably tech savvy but could not for the life of me understand how to use the app. I phoned the host, whose English was a little limited so passed me on to someone else who could help. I ended up being given the code to a lock box to take a physical key which potentially should be the only option going forward. Also - the aircon didn't work particularly well and we had a strange beeping sound outside the room every 4-5 minutes - a little irritating when you're trying to sleep. It was resolved on our last day which was great.

Everything was great. The house was incredibly nice and clean. The location was also excellent🤍

the entrance to the apartment is a bit tricky because you don’t have real keys you have to open the door with your phone (so when you go to the beach and wish to leave your phone in the room it’s not possible cause otherwise you won’t get in) no elevator, with our luggage it was difficult to go upstairs… the tv didn’t work

Lovely apartment, nice and clean with added extras! we especially enjoyed the sauna in the room! Staff were helpful, all in all a lovely stay in a beautiful location.

Apartment is amazing, really modern decor with a lovely bath in the bedroom and ensuite shower, toilet etc. Great use of space, we enjoyed sitting out on the balcony watching the world go by in the street below. The location is perfect for quick access to shops and restaurants, ideal if you don't hire a car. The beach is just a 5 minute walk away too. Download the Sclak app before you arrive as this is needed to get in initially. We didn't use their beach sunbeds offer as 30Euros each seemed a bit steep and there is plenty of space on the beach to sunbathe for free. A general tip not related to AWA - If you book excursions from Cefalu be sure to check the pick up points by going into the excursion company office in the main street - we were nearly caught out twice by vague pick up point descriptions!

We weren't aware that a housekeeper would come by every day and that we would need to be out for them to clean - perhaps this is worth mentioning in the description. That said, they didn't come in our last week there so perhaps worth also saying where you can empty the bins!
