One of the nicest, cleanest units we have stayed in in NZ. And what an interesting location. Sitting on the verandah looking across the runway to the hills in the distance. Even though it is at the airport, it is very quiet. Would definitely come back here instead of staying in the middle of town.

A quiet unit, generally well equipped and in a peaceful location, especially from traffic noise. The silence was interrupted by the occasional light aircraft landing or taking off but nothing during night time. Great views of the surrounding hills and the changing light and shade as the sun went down.

Great Getaway
We found this an ideal location for our five night stay. Being very quiet with expansive views was very relaxing while only 2-3 minutes to down town Alexandra.
We would definitely recommend to anyone wishing to stay in this beautiful part of our country.

Great time in small town nz
If your looking for a nice little getaway place to go do some biking or what ever else this place is perfect. Rail trail literally 2 minutes from the door way that connects to alot of other trails. Great time. And close enough to what ever else you want but far enough away from all the noise and people to have a quiet getaway

We loved this property - being out of the town, at the airfield. Fabulous outlook & even got to see a couple of planes land & 1 take-off. Great find.

We really enjoyed staying at a real airport, even if there were no planes coming or going!! We will pass on to our family and friends our enjoyable stay.

Great place to stay for anyone that finds planes interesting. The airfield is on a plateau with great views of surrounding hills. The cabins are simple but modern and thoughtfully fitted out. Very quiet at night.

The ?Tiger Moth? cottage overlooks the runway and is cosy and comfortable despite the below zero mid-winter nights. The relative isolation of the airfield provides fantastic night skies and stargazing. Great value for money.

The chalets are lovely - sunny, warm with comfortable beds and a great shower.
The chalets are lovely - sunny, warm with comfortable beds and a great shower. Best of all, we could sit on the deck and look out at the vineyards and mountains and watch the sunrises and sunsets. It is very quiet up on the plateau yet only a few minutes down the hill to Alexandra. Loved the location and the property and don't hesitate to recommend it.
