Wonderfully stocked, perfect location, perfect hosts

My husband and I had a GREAT 3 night stay as the last leg of our Pacific Northwest 30th Wedding Anniversary vacation. This felt more like a home than a vacation rental as it was stocked to the gills with anything you would need! Julie and Peter are magnificent hosts with providing an abundant of information ahead of time and in the binders at the house! Thank you again for a wonderful stay!!!

Sandpiper Haven is our favorite vacation location on Whidbey. Owners are wonderful with great communication. We love the everchanging view and watching wildlife. Easy beach access for nice beachcombing. Good WiFi and streaming services provided relaxing evenings. Very peaceful, great sunsets. Good location for birdwatching. Lots of good restaurants close by. Kayaks are a huge plus.

Good location between camp casey and oac harbor

This is my family's second stay at the property, and we absolutely love it. The house is very clean and well stocked. The water and mountain views from the deck are unreal. The owners are fantastic as well. Thank you for allowing our family to stay on your property!

We had a wonderful stay. It was in a great location with a lovely beach. We enjoyed the sea kayaking right off the property. We saw seals and many birds. It was quiet (with the exception of the neighbors rooster!). Thanks for the great vacation. We hope to visit again sometime.

The property owners communicate with you well, to answer any questions, before staying in their lovely home. The home is very well stocked as stated in the description. It is in a lovely area, well cared for, and clean. The views are incredible. We really enjoyed the beaches and hiking in the area. Two adults and two 8 year olds had a fantastic time! The views were spectacular from the whole house, relaxing on the deck was so peaceful, and the house was well-stocked for any forgotten necessities. There was so much to do even though we came off-season for some of the highlights. Treasure hunting on the beach and cooking dinner over the fire pit were big hits. The kids are looking forward to this being our annual destination.

The hosts have thought of everything to make your stay here comfortable , carefree and relaxing. Wonderful communication and even went above and beyond to accommodate a special request. Beds were comfy, kitchen very well stocked, and truly this is the absolute cleanest vacation rental I've ever stayed in. Thank you Julie and Peter for sharing your beautiful home with us. We had a wonderful stay at this property! Communication prior to booking was incredibly helpful and our family felt “at home”. Very family friendly with activities for a stormy day inside. Our brief stay at the cottage on Penn Cove was exactly what we had in mind: a restorative, peaceful, lovely setting with long stretches of walkable beach in either direction. The house itself was utterly comfortable, the views were expansive and we had everything we needed for our too short but sweet stay. The location is ideal for exploring the island. Look forward to returning in the near future!

We love Julie & Peter's house! Absolutely spotless, which is a big deal to us. Warm, cozy and a beautiful view. We had a big storm come through so we had the perfect spot to sit inside and watch. Wonderful beach too when weather permits. We will be back soon!

We had a wonderful time at Sandpiper Haven. The house is right in the water, it has every amenity needed for a family stay and is located near beautiful state parks and cute towns (Coupeville, Oak Harbor and 30 mins from Langley). Julie and Peter's communication was outstanding and made everything smooth and easy. This is a great spot and I've already recommended to several friends. Also, Penn Cove Mussels -- local speciality-- are delicious and we ate them for half of our meals.

This was our second stay at Sandpiper Haven and the property was just as wonderful as we remembered. We stayed three nights with our 18 month son and enjoyed the gorgeous views, easy access to Coupeville, and thoughtful touches (tide charts, binoculars, stool in the bathroom for our little one) that made our stay so easy and fun!

Julie and Peter have furnished their Sandpiper Haven with pride and thoughtfulness inside and out! The view, deck, landscaping, fire pit and beach are marvelous. All instructions including arrival and departure procedures, hints for adventures, dining, and shopping, and care for their vacation home are written clearly, kindly, and with a sense of humor right down to the poem about how to take care of their septic tank! You will love this place! (To be honest, I'd like to keep all this a secret so we will be able to find a time to stay there again!)

This is my favorite get away destination! I book a year in advance so I can have the peace of mind that I won't miss out. This is the only vacation where I can instantly relax and enjoy myself from the moment I arrive until I check out. The view is mesmerizing, and the beach is amazing. I walked for miles each day soaking up the sunshine and finding agates and sea glass. There was a seal who stayed near the dock and floated near the shore. There was a blue heron on the beach each day. If you are a nature lover or a bird watcher this is the place for you. The home is 5 stars inside and out. The hosts are fantastic people and have thought of everything to make your stay amazing. Everything is super clean and in excellent working condition. Beds are really comfy. The kitchen is well stocked and there are books. movies and games for all ages. Outside there is an entertainment size deck, fire pit and private promenade. There are kayaks and a boat you can use. There is access to the community swimming pool, but we swim off the dock. I stayed at the end of summer and the weather was wonderful. The sunrises and sunsets will take your breath away. There are state parks close by and lots of beaches to explore if you want to venture off the property. We went to farmer's markets and a music festival and had a great time. There is a small market nearby if you need anything and don't want to drive. Oak Harbor and Coupeville are just minutes away for fine dining and groceries. I've stayed at neighboring properties, and they just aren't the same. If you want peace of mind that you will have the best vacation ever - look no further and book your stay today. This house was exactly what we wanted for our trip. It is right on the water and has everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The communication was outstanding. Right after we booked, we heard from the owners to clarify some details and give us information. As it got closer to our stay, we received more information about the house and the surrounding areas. I will definitely be recommending this location to people.

The house was lovely, comfortable and very well stocked. It is particularly welcoming for young kids with toys, games, step stools, life jackets and more. Our family loved beach combing for sea glass and spying the wildlife through binoculars. Next time we hope to have more luck catching crab!

Except for the rainy weather, we pretty much took all her recommendations of restaurants and sights... The area is pretty quiet and the view off Fort Ebey state park (minutes away) is great for sunset. We can see the snow covered peaks for Olympics from the living room, and definitely effects from the sunrise and sunset. (No direct sunset/sunrise, just the effect created on the clouds and the mountain peaks... Also plenty of wild life viewing of the deck including seals, bald eagles and whale.

What a beautiful setting and a clean, charming and well-stocked house! It was even warm enough a time or two to sit on the deck and watch two seals swimming by in Penn Cove. The house gave us easy access to activities in both the north and south end of the island. The communication with owners Julie and Peter was THE best we’ve experienced in 15+ years of VRBO rentals. From suggestions on the best way to arrive on Whidbey Island (we chose by land from the north) to discussions about fishing or coffee availability in the house: the owners went above and beyond to make our stay a very comfortable one. Would highly recommend this property!

My husband and I and another couple were visiting Whidbey Island for a friends wedding. Prior to our arrival we received a call and several messages from Julie to ensure all of our needs would be met while staying at the property which was very much appreciated! Once we arrived, we were all thrilled with how extremely clean and very well stocked with all necessities the home was. We were so impressed with how nice the outdoor area was, from the deck to firepit to viewpoint to stairs to the beach (so many different options!!).
