Pros: - Kitchen can handle 6 cooks without bumping into each other (we were there at Thanksgiving) also 2 ovens. - Lots of pots, pans, sharp knives, serving bowls, plates, cups and everything you need for 12 persons. - Lots of hot water and heat. - Heated bathroom floors - Plenty of bathrooms. - Working Hot tub - Attic for kids to play and sleep in (a real savior) - The upstairs master bedroom has a huge separated closet that kids can sleep in if you bring sleeping mats. There is a port a crib as well. - Downstairs master bedroom has great bunk beds and private bath. - Once the door is closed, both these spaces are very self contained and separate from the general hubbub. - Lots of beach towels for hot tub and beach -Great washer, dryer, dishwasher. - Better than expected. This cabin was amazing and bigger than expected! So close to multiple lakes and hiking!!! Kinda bummed it didn’t have ac cause it got warm a couple nights but after talking to the delightful neighbors no one has ac so other than that we had just an amazing time and made some wonderful family memories!!!

Everything was great and definitely upscale. I really appreciated the little touches like available glass food storage containers and Netflix/Roku built in. I felt more like a guest in a friend's home than a renter. Also, when we ran into trouble with a blackout and internet outage (totally no one's fault), Jennifer was incredibly responsive and helpful.

The whole experience was very positive. The property is well maintain and the location is almost perfect. The communication with Jennifer was super clear, with timely responses and very detailed instructions. Would love to come back in the near future.

The house was amazing, with lots of space. It was well equipped and very clean. Perfect for any large family. We loved the location.

The home has a great kitchen / family area...a great space to hang out and the bedrooms are large and accommodating. The hot tub is just a bonus feature.

Amazing clean property, beautiful views, hot tub with normal amount of chlorine, a lots of trails around, fast responding owners, good kitchen- we were very happy with our stay and definitely will choose this place again!

The property is everything it presents I would definitely rebook

As a group we have been staying in Tahoe Donner for over 15 years. Jennifer’s cabin was one of the nicest we have stayed at. There was plenty of room to spread out, the kitchen had everything you could ask for if you want to cook, and it was nice to have room in the garage to park. The views from both the front and back decks were incredible, both at sunrise and sunset. Definitely will keep this one in mind when we return next year.

We stayed in this majestic home for new years week and we could not have found a better place. Views were spectacular, home was clean, spacious, comfortable... all around amazing. Although everything you need is within a 3 - 5 minute drive, it feels like you're on top of the world, away from it all... the hilltop location is premier and everyone we met around us were so friendly. Jennifer was terrific! She provided a wealth of information and exact instructions for everything. Also provided winter driving cautions and recommendations which were extremely helpful. We feel she really cares for her customers. We'll definitely be staying again!

We spent a fantastic week at Jennifer's place. The cabin has a lot of space, gorgeous views throughout and is very well equipped. It is close to the Tahoe Donner Cross Country center (15 min walk, even if the return home is quite uphill after a day of ski ;) ). Jennifer is very responsive and obviously give great care to her property. We would love to have the opportunity to stay in this cabin again!

Coming into the house, you just know it's well taken care of. The views out the front and back of the house are really amazing, especially those sunrises over the mountains! We had a bunch of snow while we were there and the plow service came and plowed the long driveway. The house stayed nice and cozy warm for us the whole time. There was plenty of space for our father/son group and we had a blast skiing at Tahoe Donner about 5 mins away. The group was super impressed coming from a not as nice place last year. We'll definitely be returning to this great house!

Great home for families that includes all you need to cook at home and entertain the kiddos.

We had such a wonderful stay at the Mountain Chalet! There were 11 of us who stayed in the Chalet and we all had plenty of room to spread out. Short walk to the hiking/snowshoeing and XC ski trails. The Z Marketplace was less than a 10 min drive away and fulfilled most of our food needs when we didn’t want to drive into town. Lots of space for parking. Ridiculously clean!! The kitchen and the jacuzzi tub in the bedroom was a dream! We had a few more couples over during the day to celebrate our gender/baby reveal, and there was plenty of space and seating. The only disappointment was that the heated floors in the master bedroom were out of order and we were not told this ahead of time. But otherwise it was a 5 Star stay!!

We loved staying here. The pictures don't quite capture how nice the place is. When you walk in you are amazed at how much space there is and overwhelmed by the views. Everything was clean and in great condition, from the kitchen to the hot tub. Highly recommend! We will rent again.

This is probably one of the best houses we have stayed in Tahoe to date. A group of friends plus kids rented this house and the house next door. Everything was in impeccable condition and it was super family friendly with its split level layout. The house has amazing views and was perfect for a "summer" weekend in what should have been winter. The house is walking distance to great hiking trails (aka cross country skiing and downhill skiing with no snow) and a short drive to a bunch of playgrounds. If you choose to stay and hang out the house, both decks offer great views, the kitchen is fully stocked for cooking at home and there is a closet full of games. All in all great rental property, we will totally be back. Thank you!

This review is for the two side-by-side houses... We just finished another great weekend in Tahoe, despite the fact that there was no snow! Our group of friends has been doing an annual Tahoe weekend for about 10 years now, so we've seen a lot of houses. This pair of houses was the best we've seen and we're hoping to book it every year (or at least until one of us hits the jackpot and buys a 10-bedroom estate in Truckee!). As our group has transitioned from young married couples to families of 4, it's become increasingly difficult to find a house that can accommodate all of us. This side-by-side arrangement was perfect: 8 bedrooms for 8 families. In addition, the houses were both in immaculate condition and the kitchens were well stocked with nice cookware and cooking tools, plenty of dishware and utensils, toys and games for the kids, comfortable beds and linens, and killer views. The owner was also easy to work with over email. I highly recommend this house (unless you want it for the same weekend that we want it!).

This place is amazing. It has just about everything you could ask for in a mountain getaway: gorgeous 360° views, tons of space for sleeping and hanging out, a great sound system, 3 patios (one with a hot tub), and easy access to downtown Truckee. It's always clean, nicely decorated, and set up nicely for families and groups. I've been booking the side-by-side chalets for group ski trips the last 5 years and couldn't be happier. Jennifer is responsive and a delight to coordinate with. The group always raves about how perfect the houses are for skiing, relaxing, cooking, dining, and hanging out as a group. I look forward to many more years visiting Jennifer's chalet.

We loved the house and its comforts - it's a great place to come together with friends and/or families. The kitchen, dining room and living area are all in one huge open space with two decks on each side, with great views. (there is another deck on the ground floor with a hot tub as well) It has an open spacious air - so fun for everyone to hang out while making breakfast, lunch, dinner... The kitchen is well-stocked with all the necessary supplies and beyond. The bedrooms are super comfortable. We were three families and it comfortably sleeps up to 14 people I think.

While this home had the most wonderful views out of every window, and was really spectacular, it needed some maintenance, and TLC. The carpeting needs to be replaced (it was very dirty) , the windows washed, and the kitchen needs to have a thorough cleaning. We would go back again if we were assured that these things were done.

Fantastic home on high point in Tahoe Donner. Views from every direction - Truckee valley, Tahoe Donner ski resort, ranges. Ideal for couples and singles due to number and organization of beds. Was perfect for our group. Elegant, comfortable. The little things set this house apart from others we have rented in Tahoe: throws, games/puzzles, shampoo in showers, items to use in kitchen from spices to condiments to ziplocks. 3 decks, gas grill. Only complaint is the hot tub is really only made for 4, 6 fit ok, but should be bigger for a home sleeping 13.
