My partner and I stayed here for three nights during a road trip in New Mexico. The location was perfect - it’s a quick 10 minute drive to Santa Fe plaza but the property is tucked away in a quiet, beautifully landscaped area. We loved saying hello to the Alpacas and enjoying morning coffee in the outdoor space where there is a beautiful chapel and ample spots to meditate, read, and take in the peaceful moments. The cottage is perfect for two people with a very comfortable bed and various outdoor spaces available to enjoy. We saw a large buck one morning that came to grab fruit that fell from the fruit tree right off of the back patio. The bathroom is small like stated in the description but worked fine for us. The cottage houses many Southwest themed items, pictures, books, and art. The multitude of items in the home did cause dust allergies for us during the fall allergy season. Otherwise our stay was perfect and will recommend it to friends coming to visit the area!

Uniquely charming cottage. The surrounding property is beautiful, well-kept and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The kitchenette had everything we needed for our meals (mainly breakfasts). There are two porch areas facing different directions. It is very close to the opera. The host was a good communicator.

The Cowboy Cottage was just a delight! Minutes from the opera! The cottage was cozy and comfortable with 2 wonderful patios. Lots of birds to watch if youvare a birder.

What a gem of solitude, greenery and beauty this property is. The Cowboy Cottage was wonderful, clean, and charming; even better than described. The property grounds were a pleasure to walk around. What a wonderful oasis, and walking distance from Tesque and must a few miles from Santa Fe. Thanks to Lauren and her husband for such a great stay.

We loved our time at the Cowboy Cottage. Accommodations are even nicer than the photos suggest. Pleasant and cozy.
The grounds are also beautiful and it was fun to check out the alpacas.

Beautiful grounds, loved exploring the neighborhood. So nice and quiet and peaceful. Chapel is so beautiful. Comfortable bed. Loved the alpaca! Very small but perfect for 2 who were planning to eat out meals!

Overall the property and location are perfect. We suggest that a deeper clean is in order for the cowboy cottage. We will return in hopes that there will be some attention to detail around the “edges”. Lots of clutter. We just piled pillows out of the way. We look forward to our next visit.

This place was heaven to my husband and I. The grounds were beautiful. The cottage was the cutest place I’ve ever been in. The church in the back warmed my heart.
From the moment we arrived the wildlife and beauty awed us. From hummingbirds, elk and bunnies ( oh and the alpacas) we were just smiling in constant excitement of being so close with nature. We would 100% go back again!

Really quiet location well off of HWY 285. Accomodation was quite homey. Lots of pillows and "cowboy" stuff. Great written information about the property and amenities.
Plenty of storage and seating. Saw a nice six point buck in velvet eating from the fruit tree on my departure.

If you are going to the Santa Fe Opera, this is a great location. It's a 5 minute drive to opera and about 15 minutes to downtown Santa Fe. The casita has everything you need for your stay. Being an older building, there is no air conditioning. The temperature was in the 90's and the fan provided some relief. It was hard sleeping. I would stay there again in the cooler months.

The cottage was exactly as described. Very clean, charming, and perfectly sized for a couple. The host was super responsive and accessible. The property is absolutely lovely and we highly recommend enjoying your morning coffee outside on one of the many seating options and taking in the views. HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying here! The location is central to everything as well! 😁💛

My 9 year old son and I drove up to Santa Fe on a boys ski trip. We wanted a cool cabin / man cave rather than a pricy hotel. I’ll tel ya, this was better than the priciest of hotels. Super cool!!! That and the wildlife was a stunner. I highly recommend this spot.

The casita was exactly what we needed. Perfect size for two people. So cozy, we didn’t want to leave. The owner was very responsive and kind. The chapel and beautiful animals are definitely a plus!

Problems with the wiring of the house. A fuse blew whenever the TV and the convection oven were on at the same time, the bedroom lights stayed on even if I turned the switch off. Scary and disappointing.

The inside of an outside of this place were so exquisitely decorated with the cowboy theme. In addition the outdoor landscaping was very rich and soothing at the same time. As a landscaper myself, I seldom see B&B places put much effort into the landscape.

Just a wonderful time staying here! Its bigger than it looks in the photos (bathroom is cozy as advertised), and the backyard and common areas are lush and well maintained - and we saw elk one morning! Inside, there was a keen attention to detail, from the well-appointed kitchen to Numerous guidebooks to explore about Santa Fe and the surrounding area. Full marks for this place and its location away from but close to the city, I would not hesitate to recommend the Cowboy Cottage!

Quiet and lovely property.
The cottage was decorated with the "cowboy" theme, which my husband enjoyed. Bed was so comfy and all kitchen accessories were nice. I particularly loved the chapel and the quiet. Close to Santa Fe, but secluded. We enjoyed the visits from the deer in the evenings.

Magical Property
We really enjoyed our stay here, so peaceful and relaxing. The cowboy theme was adorable and we walked around the property, visited alpacas, laid in hammock, sat on back porch. Only thing I would change is to book more days here! Perfect location away from city, but close enough to be convenient. Easy check in and it is so quiet here, had the entire place to ourselves.

Cozy, Comfy, Cowboy Cottage!
My wife and I loved our long weekend in the Cowboy Cottage. It was exactly what we were looking for, surrounded by nature and alpacas and away from the hustle, bustle of downtown Santa Fe. Yet, you are only minutes away. We were looking for a quiet place to decompress and we found it. Looking forward to going back in the summer. Lauren couldn’t have been more helpful.

A Little Oasis
When my partner and I first drove up at night we were a bit confused seeing as this property is in the middle of the desert, but the minute we saw the lights on in the cowboy cottage we knew it would be the perfect place. Lauren's directions were clear and easy to follow and it was such a treat to see the alpacas in the morning. I've been to New Mexico a few times and I have to say this was one of my favorite places I've stayed. I highly recommend driving the three minutes to Tesuque Village Market for a margarita and some tacos- the vibe is awesome.

Country Hideaway
This quaint Tesuque house was very close to Santa Fe, but with alpacas and deer that came down at sunset we felt we were in the country.

Perfect location
The location was quiet with private patio areas to sit and enjoy a glass of wine. It was easy to travel to the Santa Fe downtown and so close to the restaurants in Tesuque . Lauren was helpful and responded quickly to questions about the area. We would definitely come back.

My wife and I stayed at the Cowboy Cottage recently, and overall we had a great time. The only negatives were that there were bugs in the shower, the cable wasn't working (we weren't there to watch TV, however), and the bed is a bit small when you are used to sleeping on a queen or king. The cottage is very charming and welcoming. The property is very peaceful as well. I would definitely return. I am over 6 feet tall and even though the bathroom is small as advertised, I was able to make it work okay. While the cottage is out of town, it is a quick drive to all the major attractions in Santa Fe.

Perfect Getaway
This was such a beautiful property and we had a great time! Perfect little hideout and charming and romantic for a couple. It didn't disappoint and was so relaxing, quaint, and quiet! We would have never known anyone else was ever there with us on the property. We will definitely be going back to stay!!! Absolutely loved it!

Relaxing and healing
We loved everything about our stay at the cowboy cottage. Every day we visited the little chapel and I meditated behind the chapel. So many things to walk and see. Especially the alpacas but one of the chickens started running up to meet me when we got there. If you want to relax away from all the routine busy tourist areas this would be the Place.

Cowboy Cottage Quaint
It was a perfect place for me....quaint, cozy and I loved the outdoor space and meditation fountain. I also loved the Market restaurant in Tesuque and it was an easy drive to Santa Fe. Jeff and Lauren as the property care takers were helpful and available even with a new baby. I would definitely return.

Part of a beautiful set of small guest houses set in a beautiful, quiet place. Our place was a cozy adobe casita, everything you need to hunker down and enjoy, or use it as a convenient place for visiting nearby Santa Fe. It was perfect for us, 2 people. We hope we can return again.

Late October Peaceful Getaway
It was just a short weekend but I truly enjoyed this cottage -- the bed is very comfortable! Temps were too cool and days too short to fully enjoy the outdoor patios and the grounds, but can imagine that in summer months it woud be lovely. Lauren was great!
