Beautiful home with everything our family needed to make a great vacation. Lin is an exceptional property owner who was very helpful.

This home was the perfect fit for our family. Roomy enough for 6 adults, an infant, and two constantly roaming toddlers. Hanging out together with morning coffee, or scrambling to take a spontaneous excursion to the beach, we found everything we needed. The grill and the great kitchen made mealtime a pleasure. Thank you so much Linn for accommodating our requests and for making the whole process a breeze. Looking forward to another stay with you.

Had a nice stay at the house, very quiet street. Spent lots of time playing bocce ball. House was clean, plenty of space for 4 adults and 2 kids. It was nice that there was a high chair for the baby. Only suggestion is that having a simple pack-and-play would make things incredibly convenient for families traveling with littles. (Thankfully Target was about 20 minutes away for any needs). Walked to Lovers Point, nice little beach.

My friends and I had an excellent time at this house while in California for my wedding. Very close to the boardwalk by the ocean for morning runs. A short walk from restaurants and coffee shops. Highly recommend.

Our family of 8 stayed here during the US Open 2019 Golf tournament and it worked out perfectly. We all fit in the bedrooms (though one used two stacked sleeping pads (provided) on the floor). There is a neat outdoor space with bocce, the garage was a godsend for storing our golf clubs and shoes, etc. The neighborhood is quiet and near the ocean and a great golf course, Pacific Grove Golf Links, is within walking distance. Pacific Grove has several great restaurants - notably Passionfish and Fandango - which we used but we also grilled and cooked meals at the house. The owners were delightful .

The home was spacious, open floor and beautiful. It was walking distance to the ocean and golf course. Neighborhood very quiet and downtown is a 1 minute drive. We had a great weekend and definitely would stay here again.

The house is spacious and well laid out, the location very convenient and a beautiful short two minute walk to the coastline! We were four couples and the house worked beautifully for our gathering... unfortunately it was a rainy weekend so we didn’t get to use the bocce ball court... next time! Owners live close by and were very responsive when we had a blip with the wireless internet service, they were able to come right over and reset it. I would stay here again if we were ever so lucky ! Highly recommend.

Great location and great updated and decorated house. Our family of five had a wonderful vacation here in PG. We had a game of bocce ball each day to of course see who was the reigning team for the day and the house has lots of board games so we had family game night also. Every morning we walked along the ocean. Lin was a wonderful and knowledgeable host with great recommendations for local hiking options. Thank you for the great memories.

The house was beautiful, clean, roomy, homey, full of amenities you don't always get in a rental, close to everything Pacific Grove has to offer. Lin is great to work with. Our reason for being in the area was for a family burial and we left with fantastic, wonderful memories. Perfect.

We were in town for our son's wedding and had three grandchildren with us. This house met our needs perfectly! Our room was on the upper floor where we could get away from the hustle and bustle of children and young adults (who like to stay up late!). Our daughter was so appreciative of how "child-friendly" this house is which made her stay more relaxing. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for our mornings together as well as for a pre-wedding lunch for our groomsmen. The neighborhood is quiet so we had an excellent night's sleep prior to the wedding. We also enjoyed walking to the beach with the grandkids. Highly recommend this place! Lin was very easy to reach and was at the house to greet us when we first arrived.

We all enjoyed our stay very much. The house was spacious, comfortable, inviting, and well cared for. Great to hang out or have quiet time. The location is a few blocks from the beach which made for long walks along the shore. Also, very close to many activities. Thanks to the owners who clearly care for their home allowing us to stay and just enjoy our time in the Monterey Bay Area.

This house exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed our daily walks to the beach and the convenient access to Monterey's many attractions. The home was quite spacious with a wonderful kitchen area. The appliances and furnishings were very nice. The great room has a large dining table and access to the back patio. It was ideal for our evening family gatherings. The owners were friendly and well organized. They seemed to take pleasure in our families' enjoyment of their home. We highly recommend this property.

Lin was warm and helpful. They have thought of everything their guests may need! Beautifully appointed kitchen, spices, linens, soap, shampoo, laundry detergent; not to mention bocce ball and golf clubs. She keeps a binder filled with information about the area and its attractions as well. We have never rented a vacation home before and it was the perfect way to go for our visit. We were part of a large family group in town. Eight of us stayed at the house. It was a wonderful house to host a couple of big home-cooked family meals. Although we didn't have time to take advantage of all there is to do, this house is near the lovely public golf course, the ocean, and the town of Pacific Grove. Even the gentleman across the street was friendly and brought us copies of the local papers. Overall, a terrific experience!

Lin was very flexible and accommodating about meeting us at the home for check-in, which we appreciated. She showed us around the house, explained its features, some general rules, and then left us to get settled. She has amassed a notebook full of information for the home, things to do in the area, places to eat, menus for take out, and even coupons for local restaurants. House: Lin has thought of everything to make her guests feel like they are are right at home! The kitchen is fully stocked with everything we needed for meals and has anything we needed to prep food, cook, and even bake. The appliances, counters, and all house decor are updated. The beds are all made, towels are in all the bathrooms, and there are extra linens available, too. The house is also very clean and offers everything you would need to feel comfortable from bars of soap, to shampoo and conditioner, paper products, and cleaning supplies. There is even laundry detergent for guests to wash clothes. Lin has thought of everything! Our favorite part of the home was all the natural light! There are so many windows, which lend the home an open and light feeling. The home itself is spacious. There is a two-car garage, an entry patio, and a backyard with grill, seating/eating area, and a bocce ball set. The living room area flows into the kitchen nicely so we all felt connected but not on top of each other. The living room also has a collection of board games and a wood-burning fireplace, which the kids enjoyed. There is also a dining area that accommodated our family of 6 adults and 4 kids easily. This flows into a den area with an entertainment area. The house's first floor has 3 bedrooms and a double vanity bathroom with a shower/tub and toilet. There is a second story which houses a fourth bedroom with a bathroom and large closet. This bedroom also has a full sized futon and additional bedding for more guests. Location: This was a great feature of the home! The house is on a quiet street but is just a 5-8 minute walk from the beach, which the kids loved for kite flying and tidal pool exploring. We enjoyed it because the views are lovely. If you're lucky, you may come across one of the many seals native to the area. Moreover, the house is close to downtown Monterey, a short drive to the central Pacific Grove area, and is close to Carmel. Within an hour drive, we could also be at Big Sur. This is Four Seasons beauty, calm for a relaxed gathering of friends. We are three hard working couples each with a toddler, and we could not have found a more perfect home for our fall getaway: beautifully finished interior, with extremely comfortable beds, fabulously stocked chef's kitchen, endless fluffy towels, perfect separation of spaces, lovely outdoor seating areas, quiet neighborhood a few blocks from ocean and Pacific Grove bakeries and restaurants. We all wanted to extend our stay, and then return home and hire the craftspeople/interior designer, who created this wonderful home, to duplicate its environment in our own homes on the peninsula -- heavenly! Lin is a pleasure to work with and we are already getting out our calendars to figure out when we can visit again. Thanks so much for the wonderful visit to Pacific Grove -- we are rested, happy and can't wait to come again.

I have been to a couple of VRBO homes and this one is the best. The location is great; walking distance to the beach, nice neighborhood, walking distance to downtown Pacific Grove and the local public golf course is down the street. Plus Carmel, Point Lobos and Big Sur are an easy drive down the coast so we had lots of great hiking expeditions. I was with 6 others so we filled up the house but there was still plenty of room. The Bocce Ball court was a great place to have a lot of fun and a little competition, we played every day. I will come back!

My family arrived at Ripple House on October 16 for my nephew’s wedding. There were 7 of them staying there. This was the second time in the last 4 months that we all gotten together there. When we arrived the house was so great! Clean, comfortable, spacious, close to the Pacific Ocean and Pacific Grove. We loved it. First night we had a great bocce ball match in the back yard and then a great dinner at the country dining table. Love it! We will be back!

My family had the great pleasure of staying for 3 nights at Lin's lovely home for a family reunion weekend. Wish it could have been longer!! The floor plan was ideally suited to our needs. The kitchen is FABULOUS. Separate family room with TV and living room with sofas meant the sports fans could watch the game while others conversed comfortably. 3 bedrooms on the main floor meant no stairs to climb for my aging mother and uncle. The owners were prompt in communications and had everything in order for our arrival. (I plan a return visit very soon. Next time with my golfing buddies.)

My golf buddies and I have stayed in this great home three years in a row. Perfect location and plenty to do, including bocce ball. The owners are great and they go out of their way to accommodate guests. Putting practice in one of the two garages, short walk to the beach. Always a great time.

I booked this vacation rental for my wedding weekend and agree with the other great reviews about it being a beautiful home. I gave 3 stars solely based on our experience with the homeowners. As stated in the rental agreement, they can stop by for maintenance and inspection, which they WILL do. They are very involved in their rental and protective of their property. On the last day of our stay, they came by to take the trash out and noticed we had rearranged some furniture. Without even entering the house, they assumed we scratched the wood floors. We were also accused of breaking the side gate and were told we would be charged for its repair. After we finished cleaning and packing, we had them return for a walk through of the home and showed them that the floors were unharmed and the furniture was moved back to its original state. We also examined the gate together, and they agreed that the gate sticking was not from any mishandling on our part. This house is wonderful if you are a single couple looking for a “quiet" stay. I emphasize quiet as their neighbors are very sensitive to noise. Upon arrival, we were presented an additional list of house rules in person that was separate from the signed lease agreement, and Lin even joked that they had received complaints after hosting a party of their own. Still, we were scolded for being too loud the entire weekend (with parents and grandparents present...), but it wasn't brought to our attention until the very end of our stay. They also commented about a call from a neighbor at 10:15 pm, which is after their “curfew" of 10:00 pm (not on the formal rental agreement). I had one missed call from an unknown number, however, no other attempts were made to notify us. If they lived close enough to take the trash out, you would assume they would knock on the door and inform us of any issue, especially if it was as big of a concern as they made it out to be. We left this joyous weekend feeling angry and stressed. Without inspecting the premises, they falsely accused us of damaging their home and threatened us with repair costs. We were advised to treat the house with the same respect as we would our own, and we did; we would do nothing less when being a guest in another one's home. We have stayed in many vacation rentals, and this was by far the most negative interaction we've encountered.

I can only describe this house as amazing! From the outside, it looks like a very nice suburban residence. But when you get on the inside is when your jaw drops. It has been extensively remodeled and the kitchen features a new Viking range, a huge stainless refrigerator/freezer, two sinks, two skylights, and it has every dish, dinnerware, and cutlery you could possibly imagine. The four bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable to a fault. The bathrooms were spotless. Our group, consisting of four mature men with their vintage Lamborghinis, were extremely happy with the house and we have already begun the process of reserving it for next year in August. Thanks to Lin and Dave for a great stay in Pacific Grove!

We liked everything about the house, exactly our style. Lots of light in the house, great kitchen, comfortable beds. As there were 7 of us, we could have used a few more glasse to drink out of, but that is very minor. The location of the house was just right, we could walk almost everywhere. On July 27, 2014, we celebrated a special birthday for my sister. She lives in Pacific Grove, but we had siblings and friends coming from out of town. The challenge was to find a place for everyone to stay for several nights and where we could have the birthday celebration and a great get together. The answer was the Ripple House. It worked perfectly! Everyone had a comfortable bedroom. The great room was an ideal place to greet guests and spend time together. The backyard worked perfectly for entertaining everyone. Everything we needed was right there: all the kitchen stuff, a great grill, guides to local restaurants and events. Best was the bocce ball court in the backyard. We played each evening (we’re a competitive bunch), and it was great fun. Ripple House is spacious and comfortable; well decorated with first-class furnishings. It’s close to… • ocean and beaches. (We saw whales, harbor seals, and otters!) • Pacific Grove and Cannery Row. (We walked to town for coffee and pastries one morning.) • Monterey Bay Aquarium. (A must to visit. We went twice!) • Pacific Grove Natural History Museum. (A great place for kids and adults.) We spent mornings catching up over coffee, afternoons walking along the ocean, and evenings playing games around the French country dining table. Everyone loved the house and being together there. I asked each of my brothers and sisters to rate Ripple House on a 5-point scale: 5s all around. We highly recommend this vacation rental for people coming to the Monterey Peninsula for a getaway and a celebration. My family had an extraordinary get together there!

The home met our expectations. It was nicely furnished and well maintained. The kitchen was perfect for feeding and entertaining our family of 8. The stove and double sink was certainly an added touch. Great location

The location and amenities were exceptional. House was very comfortable and fit the needs for our family get together for Thanksgiving. Had a small issue with the stove, but everything worked out in the end and we had a wonderful time together. Will definitely be back to this house.

Eight adult men who enjoy the challenge of playing golf had a fantastic time at a wonderful house at a perfect location. The house has been beautifully redecorated and remodeled so that you are having a great time with all of the bells and whistles. We really appreciated the owners concern for detail so that our stay was very enjoyable and everything was available for our cooking needs. The house had everything from a putting area in the garage, golfing magazines, books and a great bocce ball court in the back that we used daily. Thanks again and we can't wait for a return visit.

We rented this house for the Pacific Grove Triathlon in Sept. This house had it all: gorgeous, fully-stocked kitchen, golf clubs, bocce ball, bbq pits and plenty of sleeping space. It was perfect for us, as we could bike down to the start line for the race. The house is beautifully decorated and has plenty of space, we had 8 adults and everyone got their own bed or sleeping pad. The house is also right next to the golf course, which unfortunately, we were unable to take advantage of. Maybe next time. The owners were really friendly and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again!

Our two families had an excellent visit in the Pacific Grove area during our week. The house was all if not more than we expected. Len had thought of all the extra amenities in the house. We would highly recommend the house for a wonderful family vacation. The house has ample room for many family members to stay with adequate space to accomodate different activities. The gentlemen (across the street) and his dog that go for a walk many times a day were a wonderful new friendship. There is a golf course at the end of the street and only a couple of blocks from the beach where the kids had a great time.
