We spent the evenings playing cards on the screened in porch and had enough room to park the boat under the house. It was close and easy to get to the beach. A great time was had by all!

Tidelife has been great to work with and they will jump right on any problem you might have. This house is named Tip Ellen and it was built in 1956, which means it has weathered a number of storms and survived them all. We love the older houses as they have a lot of character. The house was clean and they had upgraded several chairs in the living area and also on the porch. The location of the house is great, bing on second row and 5 minutes to the beach. We have recommended the house to at least 6 other couples.

It has just about the best second row location possible and with enough room for a family. And although older, it was as clean as a new home. It seems most places will take Dogs but not Cats. We were aloud to take my cat. She is 11 yrs old, declawed and just sits watching the birds and car on the front porch of Tip Ellen. It is a big porch and is all screened in. We loved it sitting outside with the cat and not worry about her walking away. That was the first time she has ever been outside except to go to the vet for shots. Tip Ellen is a very old place but in not a bad location. We were on the row back from the beach so could not see the ocean unless we walked ( which is a short distance ) to go see the ocean.The place has a front stairs and a back stairs. You walk up the front stairs onto the big porch and in to the living room. Knotty Pine is on the walls, 4 bedroom,2 with queen beds and the other 2 bedrooms have 2 full size beds in them. So it can sleep 12 people. It has 2 full baths in the house and under the house is the laundry room with washer and dryer and toilet. they also have a shower to rinse off the sand after going swimming or playing in the sand.A new refrigerator and stove and all the utensils you will need including plates cups coffee pot. Al you need is towels ( or you can rent them ).Overall it is a nice place,it is being updated in places. I would come back again but we like to sit and see the ocean from the house. We have had a great time here except for the cold weather we had this year. **** & Faye

We appreciate being able to have our dog "Dolly" stay here with us. We were a little disappointed in having the public beach at the end of the road closed for repairs after the hurricane in 2016. Now that it is open, we use it almost every day. We are 1 row back from the beach, very close but not much of a view (we did know that before we rented). Owners were very nice and helpful. It is a great area, very friendly people. Cottage has everything we need, it is an older place and homey if you aren't expecting luxury and modernity.

The listing and pictures are somewhat deceptive, It is VERY DATED, There is NO view, it is further than 120 steps and the bed in the master bedroom is OLD and LUMPY!! The rental company was great!

The Tip-Ellen house was quite perfect for my immediate and extended family. Conveniently located between the creek side boat dock and more importantly beach access. An enjoyable kayak ride from one point to the other was about an hour and no vehicles were required. Early morning to early evening spent on the beach. Nearly every night was spent playing cards around the dinner table. Lots of dolphins, a loggerhead turtle and some other various sea life was at our fingertips.

The location is excellent, plenty of parking area, hot water tank was a pleasant surprise (with 12 people we never ran out of hot water). The screened in deck was great. The property does need a few updates. Two mattresses were completely worn out and very uncomfortable, and the dishwasher had issues. There is a concrete trip hazard at the bottom of the stairs that caused one fall and quite a few trips. With those few updates it would be a wonderful rental.

We played board games, beach games, cooked together in the perfectly adequate kitchen, then grilled and dined on the screened porch. It's the perfect resting place between fishing charters and beach lounging, etc.

4 friends stayed for a long weekend golf outing in the Pawley's area. The home set up perfect for us and is close to everything! Would not hesitate to book again.

It was not clean- except the fridge and oven were very clean, the rest was dirty. Doors missing from cabinets. The amenities were a proble- 3 bundt pans but not a single oven tray. There was a bag of dirty diapers hanging outside the back door upon arrival. I would not recommend staying here.
