The hotel is OK for one night. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.

The location was pretty industrial and the staff was rather cold. I did not like that the hotel did not communicate transparently that they charge Covid surcharge both in the hotel and in the restaurant. It was just a few Euros (5 Euro in the hotel, 1 euro p.P. in the restaurant), but it felt a bit shady. This was the only place we visited this Summer that had this extra fee.

De kamer was netjes

I was just called by the manager of the hotel, only to have him explain to me why the staff couldn't possibly be racist because amongst them are also "foreigners". He also asked me to change my review because it said that "they were racist", thus implying they all were. So just to be clear, I take back saying "they're racist", because only the people that helped us were and management couldn't be bothered to correct them or have them apologize. We arrived around 9pm after a six hour drive to find out the hotel restaurant was closed though the website said it'd be open. When we check in no one mentions a parking fee. The employee at the frontdesk didn't bother to try to speak english and another one referred to my husband as "bro" multiple times. Overall the staff was rude and dismissive to us where they were friendly and helpful to other (german) guests. When we left we were suddenly charged for parking and agaib as we ask about this we are disregarded and the woman at the desk told me to "stay blessed", which I'm pretty sure isn't common hospitality jargon. Never in the conversation with the manager did he acknowledge our experience. He just said he was sorry we felt that way, suggesting it was all in our heads. He also failed to offer to refund us and interrupted me the entire conversation to the point my husband stepped in. Also I just wanted to add we think it's ironic how you say you can't possibly be racist because the many languages your staff speaks yet none of them is anything you can call english.
