we loved the pool and bbq area we used it everyday the apartment had everything we needed

The beds could all be upgraded, not very comfortavle and very squeaky when rolling over. The kitchen only had 4 forks but we needed 6

The location was as expected, a bit far from the main drag. A car is essential.

The standard apartment was pretty poor. Desperately needs a makeover. The kitchen was so so. One large frypan and 3 varying size saucepans. We had to buy a strainer. The fridge door was rusty. The cupboards were very old and warped. Wouldn’t really say it was a fully equipped kitchen.

easy booking, the friendly reception, great parking, clean room and environment although some areas look a bit "tired" but that's quite o.k.!

Affordable accomodation in Port Douglas. Large unit with 2 bedrooms. Full kitchen and laundry. Nice pool. Walking distance to beach. Close to town centre. Checkin was easy.

Slightly older facility which was clean but showed signs of wear & tear.

Spacious rooms, with a big living area and a full kitchen. A large balcony allows al fresco dining, with a daybed for reading. Washer and dryer in the bathroom/laundry are essential for sweaty clothes/ wet towels. A short drive to town and beach. It would not have been pleasant to walk to dinner in the steamy heat. Good underground parking, with a lift.

There is an air conditioner in the living area, but not the bedroom. Several other reviews have commented on this. There is no way of getting airflow into the bedroom, as there is a narrow hallway past the bathroom. We were there during a heatwave, 36 degrees outside and unpleasantly hot in the bedroom even with a ceiling fan. A restless night's sleep. The pool is unshaded, some local friends who visited noted this and said in FNQ a shade cloth over the pool is essential to stop it overheating. Water temperature was 35 degrees, warm bath rather than refreshing.

Pool facing balcony, Apartments are located just across the beach. The pool was really amazing as the kids really enjoyed. We all were non swimmers but still had a lot of fun in there.

More laundry liquid should have been supplied.

The place was clean and had even a washer/dryer in the apartment, great balcony, pool/spa (little sand pit and kiddies pool) and BBQ facilities. It had everything we needed for our stay and we would stay here again. Good value for money accomodation.

If an air-conditioner could be put in the bedrooms (there was a ceiling fan and an additional fan in the cupboard) it would be great. Where the place is located we had to drive everywhere (they had bikes there that you could hire which will get you around- too hot for us to ride ha ha) but everything is only a 5 min drive away.

Great location! Accommodation was fantastic value for money and communication with management was exceptional from start to finish (especially due to our late arrival). Our unit was spacious for our family of 4 and facilities were clean and very well equipped.

Wishing we could have enjoyed it for longer!

A beautiful resort and very well equipped accommodation. Less than 2km drive or walk to the nearest patrolled beach. Propert managers were very helpful and booked tours for us. We will definitely come back to stay at Sands Resort any time.
