The room was large, very well equipped and comfortable. The breakfast was very good.

We arrived on Thursday which meant he hotel was closed. We booked in and had a cold drink after a very long and tiring drive to be told that the kitchen was closed. We walked half an hour into the local town where a market had food stalls and we could get something. After walking back an open air disco at the local castle started up. By then we were so tired we slept through it. In the morning we were told that it was the first time for t the disco .

The playground outside next to the bar is an amazing plus. Loved it. Great place to unwind with a drink as the kids play.

Having a few fans would have been great.

Fantastic place to stay with children (ours were 6 and 8 years old). Lots of facilities for the kids to play with, while there is a great restaurant for the parents to relax at. The Hotel has got free access to the Strand Bad (pool at the lake) so we spent most of the time there while we were not exploring nearby Villach. The staff were so nice and friendly, no request of ours seemed to be impossible. We truly enjoyed it and will come back again if we can.

The only thing that we missed was some cooling in the rooms. Even an electric fan would have made a difference for us on the hot nights while we were there.

It was lovely.
