The property is in a brilliant location at the top of a hill which leads down to the old town. House and garden are full of character and beauty. mMimi and Nicholas are charming genuine hosts, who prepared a lively breakfast each morning. Lyon is a wonderful city, so our stay could not have been better.

Great hospitality. Mimi is a fantastic host. Located up the (steep) hill of St. Just - thankfully there is the cable car, otherwise it would be very, very hard to go back and forth to the tourist areas of the city.
Coming down the stairs to the superb breakfast table she has prepared is a true delight. (And when we were there the weather was so-so, thus no breakfast in the garden ... when you can have breakfast in the garden, we assume it will be even better). The big suite is comfortable, the bed is good. Please be aware that there are many steps to reach your room ... and that the entrance and staircase doesn't look like the Ritz-Carlton ... but the friendly welcome, the attentive service make up for that. A few things need fixing (the coffee machine in our room leaked, the toilet seat was loose ...) - it really feels like staying at your favorite cousins' house. The warmth of the welcome makes you forget the few details that are not perfect. We used the garage (which is not close by, so do not forget anything in the car ...), but are not sure we would do so again (street parking is available, and free on Sundays and holidays).
Coffee machine leaked, toilet seat needs fixing, entrance and stairs up to the rooms could use some cleaning up.

The building is fully renovated with quality materials and with respect for history.
The location is right next to Le jardin des curiosités, wich gives you a wonderful view over the city. The funicular cable cart station is almost next door and it conveniently brings you to the city center in a couple of minutes for the price of a bus ticket.
To reach the rooms from street level, some stairs have to be taken. While this will not be an issue for most of us, some may find it a challenge.
The owners are keen to provide all information you need and know how to make your stay a great experience. Bedding is excellent and the garden is a hidden oasis in a hectic city.

Mimi and her husband provided us with one of the nicest stays we have ever had outside a 5* hotel. There are a few flights of stairs but the excellent rooms were well kept and comfortable and more than made up for the effort.
Breakfast each morning was a fantastic start to the day and you can feel the effort she puts into ensuring her guests have a wonderful stay. Her local knowledge helped us a lot. Would highly recommend anyone visiting Lyon to stay at Le Jardin de Beauvoir.

Super quaint and modern b&b in the heart of old Lyon. Our hosts, Mimi and Nicholas, were superb. Breakfast in the garden was the highlight of the day. Easy walk to Vieux Lyon and public transportation to other parts of the city. highly recommend you book your stay in Lyon at Le Jardin de Beauvoir.

Very welcoming. Great location - quiet but close enough to walk to most attractions and restaurants. The climb up the hill was generally fine - and the Metro was cheap and easy when energy levels were low. Breakfast great for replenishing those energy levels!

Perfect location! Quiet but easy to get in to Old Town and downtown. Hosts were fantastic. Mimi was very helpful and provided us with a warm greeting, maps, restaurant recommendations and tips to make our visit very enjoyable. The house and garden are beautiful and our room was comfortable and lovely.

Everything! Le Jardin is very comfortable. Great bed, tea and coffee facilities, a soaking bath, superb view over the garden and Lyon, close to the funicular and restaurants, superb breakfast in the wonderful modern/ancient house, a refreshing, pervasive feeling of cleanliness, the spacious garden in the middle Lyon.
The only thing I didn't completely enjoy were the stairs, especially with my too heavy suitcase, but no stairs and the location are mutually exclusive. I'll cope happily with stairs anytime for the location.

We loved everything, it was like a hidden secret and very unsuspecting, mimi and her husband were wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome and comfortable.

The rooms are very nicely renovated, modern decoration, one of the rooms we were using has air conditioning but not the other one.
I really liked the garden, the view of Lyon and the untypical building.
The owners were very welcoming, helpful and we really enjoyed the breakfast served. Homemade specials, great choice good quality
Unfortunately we had underestimated the amount of steps in the property. The description warns that there many steps so no mistakes from their side. The steps are aged and were not secured enough for my partner to be at ease.

The breakfast was delightful laid in the garden. A perfect fruit salad, yoghurt, eggs. Great hosting and so convenient for the beautiful old part of Lyon
Not much. Hadn't realised that there wasn't air conditioning but there was a very good fan.

The quirkiness of the house and its character. The modern, clean bedroom with good facilities and a huge bathroom. The breakfast in the garden was superb. The hosts were warm, friendly, helpful and brilliant at recommendations. They know their city well. A great location. It’s an easy downhill walk into Old Lyon (15 mins) and a fun ride on the funicular on the way back up the hill.
