We had a nice bright room and the the staff was very friendly! It was a ten minute walk to the city center. Excellent Price-Performance Ratio. We definitely enjoyed our stay!

Location was good, close to a big park and surrounded by nice lanes and canals.

the reception is functional but not great, the rooms are above the cafe, which is a bit weird but seems to work.

the owner was very kind. He let me put my bike in the room. He gave me breakfast at 6 a.m. for an early start.

The staff was really polite and helpful and the "hotel" (more of a motel, "rooms to let") is located really close to the city centre, about 10-15 minutes walk. The private bathroom was relatively new but it was small and it had a funny smell. Every room had a small fridge and air-conditioning, which we didn't use though.

The beds are not comfortable, they are old and need to be replaced. The sheets, even though clean, have a funny smell. There is also no insulation and you can hear every small noise that anyone makes. As a result we woke up several times during the night. Another thing is the size of the single beds, 80-90 cm and they look more like air mattresses than actual beds. All in all, a low-cost option (around 42€ a person per night for a room with private bathroom) but really a mediocre to bad experience.

Chose hotel for budget reasons (it wasn't cheap. Utrecht is so expensive to stay) 1st room was grim, couldn't bear it. Owner agreed to a swap. Bigger room, with windows. Rooms above a takeaway. Stairs steep, dirty. Shower head needs replacing, jets went everywhere other than where needed. No kettle/mugs. Only 3 paper cups. No tea/coffee items. Loo roll seemed rationed. 2 rolls for 2 people/3 nights. Sauna unavailable, was told it was in a bedroom. Bed wasn't made during our stay. Room could benefit from a mirror & a bin.

Had a great stay - super close to Utrecht´s city center. The place was clean and the jacuzzi was nice. The staff was also very accommodating. They extended my stay at a moment's notice when I needed it.
