This is a comfortable, open plan house with a covered deck perfect for enjoying a cuppa whilst watching the birds visit the banksia tree. We had everything we needed. With the beach a comfortable walk for kids, small surf and a pool, we were all set. I highly recommend Banksia Cottage

We had a lovely stay in a Pearl Beach for our 4 month olds first holiday. The fact this property had a cot was gold for us. There was a baby bath which was great as there is only a shower in the bathroom. Ceiling fans keep it nice and cool. Good sized rooms, kitchen and living area. Only small complaint is that the blinds are not blackout as advertised and the walls are very thin- my husband could here me opening the fridge while putting Bub to sleep in the babies room. But overall we loved it and Amanda was fantastic in her communication with us.

Amanda has provided a lovely home suitable for a blissful getaway, beautifully appointed, and in very short walking distance from both delightful bushwalks to surprising and awe-inspiring natural environments (the dogs took me on adventures to find waterfalls, caves and swimming holes) and to the broad, sunshiny beach and the foreshore swimming pool, which is overlooked by the fabulous lunch spots of both the Cafe and General Store and Pearls. The lovely touches like the wine, cheese and biscuits to settle in on arrival, coffee, tea and milk for the morning, as well as the little extras like spices, olive oil, and other pantry items to help inspire culinary efforts were greatly appreciated, as was the amazingly well-curated video library, which included some lesser-known but brilliant Australian cinema. The paintings on the walls reflect the natural beauty of the setting in the bush next to the beach, and the front deck is truly a delightful spot to relax, unwind and have a BBQ whilst listening to the wildlife and birdcalls. This was a very happy find for my dogs and myself, and the provision of dog bowls and bed is a very kind and thoughtful touch. Whilst I did not travel with children, I can see clearly that this would be a wonderful spot to bring one's family, as the children's room is beautiful and welcoming, and there is a great boardgame collection as well as plenty of books and videos for them as well (when they are tired out from all the fun at the beach, or it is too rainy to go out). I recommend Banksia Cottage wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a beautiful getaway to both the bush and the beach in one day.

We enjoyed our stay at 34 Amethyst Ave. Well situated at the end of a quiet street with easy access to bush walks and Cremmelin Reserve and a short pleasant walk for morning coffee and the beach. The house is comfortable and easy to keep clean; it had just about everything required for an enjoyable holiday, whatever the weather. However, the amount of cutlery and dishes was a bit limited, which required either running the dishwasher a lot or more hand washing than necessary. Amanda provided quick and helpful responses to any questions we had about the property. Much appreciated.

We had a wonderful stay at Amanda's house. We have a 10-month old baby and the house was perfect for kids. It is absolutely spotless and is so well stocked, we felt very much at home. The beautiful beach is 5 minutes walk.

This cottage is beautifully set-up for a family getaway. Great care and thought has gone into making it child-friendly with books and DVDs and games. We found it spacious and clean. Incredibly welcoming, our host made the cottage availalable earlier in the day than required for us and provided some groceries like bread and milk for us, which was unexpected but very much appreciated. The location is at the bush end of pearl beach, quiet and peaceful with close access to fire trails and a short walk to aboretum. We would definitely come here again. Thankyou.

The house has everything you need - Amanda hasn't missed a thing! It was also extremely comfortable and clean. Great location - we did a short bushwalk up to a waterfall and the kids loved it.

Enjoyed our stay close to shops and beach but not too close , the cottage is away from the cars and traffic , the bush setting is nice .

Pleasant little house towards the end of a quiet Pearl Beach street. Given that it's dog-friendly, a fence at the front would be good - not just so our dogs could go out by themselves, but also to keep the friendly doggy neighbours out! Also a little note in the bathroom re switching the hot water over in cloudy weather - we had 2 days of lukewarm showers before I happened to read your notice on the fridge!

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage . So close to the beach and the restaurant and cafe down the road.Super comfortable beds with lovely linen. The owner left some kitchen supplies which was greatly appreciated. Unfortunately dogs were not allowed on the beach but there were quite a few places to take our old dog for walks.

A lovely place to stay for a week or so. Short walk to a beautiful beach, and an even shorter walk to the bush tracks behind Pearl Beach and to Patonga. A well equipped kitchen if you don't feel like eating at the lovely cafe down the road. Really appreciated the thoughtful touches such as fresh milk, coffee and quite a few emergency supplies, just in case you'd forgotten to arrive with them. Thank you Amanda.

Banksia Cottage was a perfect holiday rental for our family of 4 and new puppy. It was exactly as described, and once there saw how well thought out it had been set up for the comforts of a family holiday without being too fancy that you worried about puppy or kids causing havoc or staining something. The kids felt right at home straight away with the simple kids room - then they didn't want to leave. The kitchen had well stocked cupboards and drawers with kitchen essentials for a self catered holiday. It was also a real luxury having all linen and towels provided. Beds were super comfy and everyone slept well. Stunning Pearl Beach was an easy 5 min flat walk at kids pace and popped you right out at the best part of the beach. Outdoor shower in lovely garden was fun after lots of sand play. Also coffee and menu at local cafe is city quality with a stack of SMH's on Sat. This property and location really did have the whole easy holiday package with our new puppy. I would definitely stay at this property again. Perfect set up for a family of 4 and a set of grandparents. Pearl beach is right there and stunning as usual and the house was very comfortable and ticked boxes for us all. Thanks.
