Amazing staff, location, cuisine and relaxing atmosphere! A really lovely experience – we ended up staying two extra days.

This is the best accommodation at Drake Bay. Very remote and rustic (the whole of Drake Bay is!). The whole point of staying here is to take the hikes into the National Park. I had a knee injury so was looking forward to chilling out instead and seeing wildlife on the property instead. We did see lots of scarlet macaws. The room was clean and comfy. Nice views over the ocean and grounds. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Tea and coffee was meant to be provided in the bar area all day but was only there certain times. The bar only opened 4.30pm to 10pm. No ice cream or other items if you were by the pool all day. People may not want to hike every day so they are missing a trick with people that want to relax. There was no choice on the food. Either meat, fish or vegetarian option. I know the site is remote but it isn't cheap. I have stayed on more remote islands and had a menu to choose from. Also it felt a bit regimented as food was only at set times. 6.30pm for dinner in the dining room. The only option was water and juice for drinks. You are held captive as it is a boat and 20 mins walk to Drake Bay town if you want any choice of food or alcohol.

We really enjoyed staying here. This hotel has a stunning location surrounded by natural beauty. The room was very comfortable and the 3-course dinner was very good.

The WiFi doesn’t work well so be prepared to go without.

The location is ideal and the staff is extremely friendly and the food is one of the highlights of this resort. We enjoyed our time and certainly recommend it.

Great hotel! Great vibe! Was able to relax. The grounds are beautiful! Restaurant was fantastic. Alonso was exceptional with us. And it’s owned by ticos which is always good to support!

Wish we could have stayed longer.

Spectacular view, beautiful property, very nice staff especially Alfonso the cook! We went on a tour from there to Corcovado National Park, would definitely recommend!

Heaven. Located on a point between the ocean and the river, sitting under the massive mango trees lulled by ocean breezes and looking out at an unbelievable view was a relaxation paradise. The food was delicious and made with heart. For example, if I asked about an unusual fruit growing in the property, it would be served to me at the next meal. Different fruit juice at every meal made from local organic fruit .And, wildlife galore: scarlet macaws in the trees, howler monkeys...

I didn’t stay long enough.

The location is stunning and he meals are really good, fresh and home cooked. The staff are excellent.

Best position for Corcovado. Staff took care of everything including meals and transport, snorkeling near Cano Island and hiking and lunch at Corcovado. Costa Rican’s are wonderful!

Some problems initially with hot water but AC never let us down!
