Loved the easy parking. The room was comfortable and practical. Loved the little freebies. Very clean. Amazing shower!! Owners were friendly!

Maybe a chair to sit on in the room. More tea and coffee in the room. The breakfast was a bit small for the price!

The room was superb, with a gorgeous bathroom and beautiful facilities. The owners are delightful and very helpful and breakfast was delicious. It was all excellent and great value, thank you!

The cost of breakfast wasn't included in the original booking and I wasn't sure whether breakfast was available. I guessed that it was as I saw a photo of a dining room, but I couldn't book it ahead. This wasn't a big issue - breakfast was yummy!

The room was absolutely stunning, decorated to perfection, the bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was exceptional, big deep bath plus a gorgeous roomy shower - I sampled both even though I only stayed one night - couldn't resist that bath! Its about a 30 min slow walk into town but a pleasant one - not that I had to do the walk thanks to the lovely host Mike (legend!) - one point to remember, if you want a taxi you need to book it well in advance!! Breakfast was delicious and plentiful in the lovely breakfast room. I will definitely be going back to Deri-Down and for longer next time and would recommend it 110%. Absolutely nothing

We were warmly welcomed by Del who carried our bags up to our room for which we were grateful, particularly after a no sleep night flying, then driving from Boston to London Heathrow to Abergavenny. Our room was large with instant coffee/hot water and cookies for our morning coffee awaiting us. The bathroom has a gigantic bathtub which I delightfully used to relax in before a wonderfully hot shower with very strong water pressure. We had brought in food for dinner and Mike welcomed us to enjoy it in their dining room, complete with dishes, silverware, water, etc. He spent some time speaking with us and he's totally delightful, warm and funny. The bed with a beautiful white comforter welcomed us to 9 hours of catch-up sleep! We are used to a harder mattress, but clearly it was fine! They offer sample sizes of lip balm, body lotion, creams, tooth brushes and tooth paste just in case their guests have forgotten anything. We chose not to have breakfast, but it is offered to those who want it- either continental or a full Welsh breakfast. The place is clean and welcoming. With only 1 other room there is no internal noise. If ever in Abergavenny again, we'd happily return to Deri-Down!

There is some traffic noise, which didn't bother us since we were so tired, but it's something to be aware of.

A friendly welcome when we arrived. Good size room with ample storage. Fresh milk in the fridge to make a proper cup of tea. The bathroom was very well appointed. On site parking was important.

A hand rail for the bath would be useful for safely getting in and out of the bath.

Room was very clean & had all we needed. Friendly owners who were on hand to offer any advice if we needed it. Breakfast was lovely.

very large and comfortable room. Hairdryer was fantastic. Had a full size ironing board and iron which was great for my husband. Breakfast was delicious and the owners were very friendly and welcoming.

The mattress was too soft for me and quite springy. Also no full length mirror (a bug bare of mine)

the deri- down guest house was a beautifully presented home from home. very welcoming and relaxed. the room was lovely and clean, everything you needed for a stay and more. Mike went out of his way to look after us. we couldn’t recommend the deri-down enough.

A very enjoyable stay, everything was very good. We will definitely return.

The breakfast was lovely and the the location couldn't have been better. Very close to a morrisons large supermarket and petrol station. I minute walk to a very nice fish and chip shop. Less than five minutes to Abergavenny great town.

Excellent stay at Deri Down, Excellent Hosts, lovely comfortable room, fabulous breakfast, very clean and tidy with a very warm welcome.
