Everything met and exceeded our expectations. The home is beautiful and the furnishings were second to none. Extremely pleased with this rental. Highly recommended, we hope to return next year.

This has been one of our favorite properties that we have stayed at. We had a lot of plans for our trip but found ourselves wanting to just hang around the house! There was plenty of room for all of us and everything was spotless. This location is perfect for heading into Acadia. The view is great from the house and the access to the beach was great! We would definitely stay here again!

A clean, spacious, well appointed property nestled in a wooded, secluded area. This property provides a spacious family gathering room that overlooks the water, known as “The Narrows”. It offers amenities and comforts not often afforded by similar listings. The kuerig coffee system was a plus, along with the variety of owner supplied k-cups. Every morning we observed harbor seals, eagles, humming birds and hawks just outside the family room windows. We kayaked the bay as it is well protected from the occasional winds. This is a well connected small country neighborhood and the neighbors are delightful. One of our favorite vacation rentals.

Property was beyond expectations. Super clean, comfortable, well decorated, great view! Can't say enough good things about Sea Gypsy. It is in a very quiet area-only noise is from occasional airplane and the birds. Kitchen has every tool/cooking item you can think of. Beds were comfortable. Slept with the windows and doors open (all have screens, even the regular doors have retractable ones). Basic necessities in the house-tea, sugar, coffee filters, salt/pepper. House has many interesting details and decorations. It is the best VRBO I've stayed in. Son loved having the downstairs bedroom/bath/sitting room to himself. My mother loved the bedroom on the main floor-only 4 steps up for her. House has many interesting details and decorations. It is the best VRBO I've stayed in. Just a note-it is not in Bar Harbor or on Mount Desert Island, It is 24 minutes from Bar Harbor but just a short (less than 10 minutes) drive to restaurants and grocery store in Trenton. This was not an issue to us since we were out exploring during the day. Sugar Bakery had great muffins and blueberry desserts (5 minutes). The Chart Room was also great (17 minutes). Stairs down to the beach are very steep and there is a ramp at the very bottom. Huge rocky beach to explore at low tide.

I had the good fortune to visit friends staying at Sea Gypsy a few years ago, so I could not believe my good luck when I saw there was a vacancy for four days in July. I quickly (and easily) booked the property and invited close friends to share the accommodations with us. We (and our friends) could not be more pleased. The property is just as I remembered it...and just as it appears in the online listing. Wonderful waterfront views, access to the beach, top of the line appliances, comfortable furnishings. We did not rent the basement (an option if more guests need more room), but the two separate bedrooms with full baths were perfect. They have window air conditioner units, but we did not need them thanks to the Maine weather. We were able to take our standard poodle (which is one of the reasons that we rented the place). We used the charcoal grill one night, and availed ourselves of the Trenton Lobster Pound on another night. The owners provide lots of information on things to do, places to eat, etc. If you're lucky enough to find a vacancy that fits your schedule, book this place. You can't go wrong! One last thing...the property manager was very helpful and responded quickly to all of our queries. She just made the entire week a pleasure for all of us!
