The location of the house was great for the ocean/beach, but was not great for walking to get coffee or food. Stores were not as close as we would have liked. Difficult to have it all. Overall, I would recommend this home for your future vacation.

Stayed here for a little beach staycation. Absolutely gorgeous location!! Lots of seating both inside and out. Be very cautious of street sweeping signs as welcome book is not up to date with accurate information.

Location was fantastic, right across the street from the beach. The home had plenty of space for kids to play, a nice fire pit and hot tub. Was a tad warm without AC, but I would recommend this home!

Location of the property is perfect, which is why we booked it but unfortunately that was the highlight of the stay. The house is very much dated with fixtures and outdoor overhangs tearing and everything is rusting. The property has a insect infestation. Flies were all around the property as well as inside, a few days into the stay there were maggots crawling all over the kitchen floor while making breakfast. After calling the management company all they did was send a pest control person 2 days later to spray the inside of the house which we declined since he have small children. There are no cleaning supplies in the home and after requesting some to clean up the maggots it was never brought to us. Additionally there are crickets surrounding the property and also inside the home. A few were in the kitchen and chirped all night long, and all of them outside made it impossible to hear the ocean at night which was a selling point to stay there. Lastly the refrigerator made a hellacious noise that woke us up in the middle of the night, they sent someone out to take a look at it and could not fix it so they unplugged it and we used the extra refrigerator in the garage which was fine albeit inconvenient. It is not worth what you pay after everything is said and done, easy to get past the dated house but the incidents of our stay made it uncomfortable and disgusting.

everything was great EXCEPT Hot Tub didn't work (even after 2 attempts by serviceman)? We looked forward to the hot tub but it didn't work the entire time. Everything else was great!

The location is great. A street off the beach with a view of the ocean from the front porch. The area is fantastic. Short walk down to Avenida De La Playa which has a selection of places to eat. The area and the beach are the best. The house was clean and had tons of space. Backyard has plenty of area to spread out. No bathrooms on the main floor was strange. Check in was easy.

Our grandchildren had an awesome time boogie boarding and playing in the water and sand. Rooms were awesome, location was awesome, and cleanliness was awesome.

Best thing about the property is the location of the size of the house.

The property is literally steps from La Jolla shores beach, and set in a quiet residential neighborhood. The home was filled with floor to ceiling windows, with a clear view of the beach from the front porch. The home was clean and tidy, and all the beds were made with fresh linens. The home was generously sized for a family of 3 adults and 1 teen, and had good outdoor spaces to enjoy time outside. Great value for the price, but a few things would have made our stay a five star rating. While the home included fresh towels, we would have appreciated more clean towels to reduce our laundry over 5 days. The property is in dire need of updates: abundance of rust, chipping paint, open hole in the kitchen ceiling, lack of proper shower ventilation, torn fabric on bunk beds, aged appliances to name a few. A little TLC goes a long way in making guests feel “at home” while being so far away from home.

If you want to ruin your vacation then this is the house you want to rent. We had to leave early by how disgusting and unbearable to stay at this house. This house has no AC so you have to open the doors to get the hot air out. As soon as you open the doors and the windows you have hundreds and hundreds of flies flying into this house and crawling all over your food your clothes your face…… This house has no screens to keep the flies away. Some windows does have screens but with such big gaps that flies fly right through. We have rented this house for six nights and had to leave early because of this issue. It was unbearable to even sit and enjoy your coffee. We couldn’t eat inside because the flies literally get in your mouth. I wish I could post some pictures of how many dead flies there were on the floor with me walking around with a fly swatter half of the night chasing them around and killing them. I’m still so disgusted by just remembering how nasty it was. I will never rent or recommend to anyone to stay in this house.

Overall, it was great for the price. The house is outdated but much like a Florida Keys home.

Upon arriving I walked into the home an it was over 100 degrees. The one fan was functional in the kitchen. In order to escape the heat I went to the back porch (the one that is advertised on the photo) and was unable to sit down for more than 5 minutes due to the fly infestation. I reached out to the property manager, but they were unavailable because it was Sunday. I ended up having to stay in a hotel that night as the house was uninhabitable. I asked for a refund the following day and was provided the following response. "We are contacting you today regarding the A/C and pest issue that was reported to our team. Unfortunately, we have very few options available at this time. All of our portable A/C units have been spoken for, and retailers are completely sold out due to the heatwave. We could arrange for our team to source some additional fans and fly traps for you, although we do not have any fans left on hand, and stores may be sold out of them as well. " They went on to tell me that they will offer NO COMPENSATION what so ever. Vacasa could care less about guest experiences. The absolute experience ever.

I love, love, loved this place. It’s the perfect location for the beach and just a short drive to La Jolla Cove. It’s nearby to many stores and restaurants

This is a fantastic property. Very clean and very large. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating areas. Would definitely stay here again. Can't beat the beach access and 4 spaces of off-street parking. Will definitely stay here again.

The location and appointments of this home were great.

The house was beautifully decorated and clean except for the floors. It's right across from the beach and close to Sea World. I would definitely come back!

We loved the location. It was right across from a public beach and was very walkable. We appreciated the parking garage for our car. It was well appointed with most everything we needed.

This is the perfect place for a gathering! The seating for so many, the immense space available to all, the amazing kitchen cupboards with everything one could ever need, the lovely serving dishes, the blue and white, the simplicity! Such joy to be away from the responsibilities of home and just relax in such a lovely setting. We hope to return many times!

Very nice location and comfortable Home

When the chandelier is held together by a bungee cord and a zip tie… Do you know the care factor of the property owner is minimal. The location is great but the house was not what we had expected.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, everything about this charming cottage was perfect. The house was not only immaculate, but was graced with every amenity we could have possibly wanted. The back yard was fragrant with the blooms of magnolias and natal plums, enhancing the experience of the beautifully maintained hot tub. The blue and white accents throughout the entire house gave it a tranquil, cohesive and wonderfully beachy feel, which added to the sense of relaxation. Although we had planned to eat out every meal, the beach across the street was the only thing that had the power to lure us out of our beautiful retreat. The kitchen was generously equipped, as was the fire pit out front where we grilled salmon and looked at the stars and the twinkling lights of La Jolla. I will be forever grateful to have enjoyed such a lovely time at this jewel of a property.

This house was fantastic! Great location, and the house was clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed, and made for a wonderful weekend. This is one we’ll be back to for sure.

We have enjoyed the 2 weeks very much, also our son with family! the house was clean, well equipped, some of the garden furniture was a bit outdated ... but that did not bother us in the least. the only negative was the cooking stove .. we are from Europe and we really like to cook at home a lot ... unfortunately the stove worked very badly and would need to be replaced. luckily there was a well working BBQ in the garden, so we used that one instead. Anna, the house manager from Vacasa, was very helpful .. thank you Anna! we were very happy in this wonderful spot and would love to come back anytime! Annamarie & family from Switzerland

Love the property, everything was beautiful. The only thing was the mechanicals in the home and the hot tub as it wasn’t working properly, the water wasn’t heating up. The hot water in the home wasn’t working when we got there but that was resolved right away which didn’t disrupt our stay. I would definitely go back again.
