The adults were happy about the proximity to restaurants, and the children were happy about the proximity of the beach!

1. Super expensive rental but the master toilet had issues. Not what I would expect from a high end rental. You couldn't flush it normally otherwise it would run endlessly. I had to take the top off the toilet and manually fix it able 10 times. I raised the issue to them and someone came over. Basically said we can't flush it normally and did nothing.
2. The rental agreement is not professional. It states loads of rules, fines and the tone not fitting for the hospitality industry or really any industry. It made me uncomfortable for the whole trip. It was shared Less than two weeks before a Christmas trip. They offered to let me out of the reservation. I spent about a decade working in contract compliance, so I was pretty uncomfortable with the horrific state of the agreement and what I was forced to sign. it was not standard. It's a Frankenstein agreement that somebody has added to probably over a decade plus that has become 10+ pages.
3. Loads of spiders in the home. They need to increase maintenance. Many were in plan view.
4. Property had an elevator but it was not reliable. We had planned to host Christmas but had to cancel plans and change the location to my grandmothers home. She's 100 years old and can't do the stairs anymore. Again o called someone they came over right away but we could never get the elevator working again. I didn't trust it at that point either.

We loved our stay here. The rooftop deck is the best. Lots of fun hours spent up there and down in the basement with the games and great tv. Will definitely come again!

Perfect location, great ocean views, easy access to restaurants, shops and beach. Great setting for a memorable family Thanksgiving getaway!

Premium location situated right across from the beach. The amenities and furnishings could use updating and didn't feel as premium as the location and the rate. We were surprised we had to purchase an incremental insurance policy, in addition to our signature on a supplemental agreement (with credit card required and right for owner to charge an unlimited amount for damages).

This place is perfect to enjoy the ocean views and everything Avila has to offer. We loved the the open windows on the main flow and the views from the rooftop are amazing. The house is very cozy. I would definitely return!

Avila Beach and this villa were a perfect duo. We couldn’t have enjoyed it more. The amenities at the villa the lovely beach views and great walking areas made it hard to leave. Plan to come back.

We stayed at this incredible home on Avila Beach with our adult children and new grandson. I can’t wait to stay again. The home was just as great as the photos showed and Chris and Gillian were so responsive to all our questions. Thank you!

The property is great and the house has every amenity! The view is beautiful and the location is right across from the beach! Check in with Jillian was very smooth and she was so responsive when needed. Thanks for a very restful and delightful stay!

We were there for my daughter's wedding in San Luis Obispo.
Breathtaking view from living room and deck.
Lovely home.
Only drawback was the noise early in the early mornings, as there are many restaurants near getting trash picked up almost daily.
Other than that it was delightful and had everything that you could need was provided.

We had a wonderful time in Avilla. Chris's house was so beautifully beachfront! The most amazing views from his decks. We've stayed in Avilla several times before, but this was the best place we've ever stayed in. Highly recommend.

This beautiful house was perfect for my family to celebrate our birthdays. Several of our family and friends rented houses in Avila to help us celebrate our birthday. The rooftop area provided a lovely space for us to gather and enjoy the sunset before dinner. The beds were very comfortable and the game room downstairs was a fun area for a ping pong tournament. We will definitely be back. This house had all we needed and more.

This is the second time we have rented the Avila Beach house, a beach I grew up on starting in 1963, 60 years ago. It was only fitting that we should be there to celebrate my 60th and my sister’s 55th with our dear mother included! We had a party of 8 which also included my husband, my niece and her husband, and another sister visiting from Georgia and her husband. The house is well maintained, and we found it to be in the same great condition it was in 4 years ago. The elevator is a huge bonus as my mom is a kidney dialysis patient. This home is large with ample space for everyone to comfortably be together or to find a nook for private time. I did leave Gillian a wish list for a few more kitchen items as our group consisted of serious foodies and cooks: salad spinner, pasta ladle, steamer to steam veggies, and an electric can opener. She said she was on it! Would definitely stay again and highly recommend this beautiful house. It is a gem in a location that is near and dear to my entire family, and we once again created beautiful memories there. Thanks, Chris!

The location of this property can not be beat! We spent a long family weekend here and had a blast celebrating my 60th birthday. We had some unfortunate weather during our stay but the property manager and Chris took care of issues that arose from that. Loved that there is an elevator from the garage level. That helped my 83 year old Dad navigate the property with ease. The rooftop deck is amazing and we hope to come back for another fun family trip!

This was simply one of the best beach houses I've ever rented. We had 2 small families in our group. The house and space are top notch. Everything in person is way better than the photos. The rooftop patio is amazing.
Chris met us in person due to the holiday, and gave an excellent and thoughtful walk-through, which was really appreciated.
We would certainly stay again.

The property was beautiful and location was perfect. The basement "bedroom" was a bit odd and though private, was a strange space. Took a few minutes to find the place, the gate was a tad difficult to find. From the photo it looked like the property was on the beach but was actually across the street. Beside's that, we loved the place; view was spectacular, incredibly warm and comfortable place. Good restaurants and coffee were literally a few steps away and the roof lounge was beautiful. We were there during the storm so did not use it but in the Spring and Summer I'm sure it's fantastic. Highly recommended!

Super nice house, wonderful location, well appointed and very solid communication & attentiveness via the owner & property manager. Our only criticism...the bedroom(s) & bathroom(s)could be a bit more dialed; relative to location, ensuite, etc. We will definitely stay again (if possible). We love Avila Beach & the surrounding central coast communities. Honestly, killer setup & excellent property - A+

We had a wonderful week in Avila. The property easily held the 6 of us and we all enjoyed the spotless, modern amenities. and were immediately at home. The location is wonderful - a full range of restaurants and gift shops - right across the sidewalk from Avila Beach. When we were there (Sunday thru Friday) the restaurants closed down about 9pm so we were never bothered by noise.
We alternate between the Atlantic and Pacific coast - if this property is available in two years - we're there. I highly recommend this home.

Everyone in my group just loved the property and area. The views were just breathtaking, we spent a great deal of time on the balcony and rooftop patio. We loved the walkability to shops and restaurants. We also enjoyed the wine bar’s (located below the balcony) live music. The one additional comment I would make is that the fourth bedroom is a bed in the family TV room in the basement. Overall, we had an amazing experience with this house. Highly recommend!

We loved the property and area. We were in the middle of restaurants, shopping and of course the beach. When we weren't on the beach, we spent a great deal of time on the balcony and rooftop patio, discussing when we can come back to stay again. We were so happy with this house and the whole experience. Highly recommend!

And I found this property to be perfectly situated on the beautiful boardwalk of Avila Beach. The main living area was bright sunny and very comfortable. The roof deck was absolutely amazing. The good news is that there was an elevator because the unit is three floors. The only negative comment I would have is that the family room TV area on the bottom floor is windowless with a bed in the same room as the family TV viewing area. Great for teenagers but not fabulous for connected adults. The property manager was friendly, knowledgeable and readily available if we needed her. Tenant should be aware that there is a wine bar downstairs that for the most part is quiet but there was music on Saturday afternoon that was very loud. We did ask the wine bar to turn down the volume and they responded. Overall, a lovely experience.

I can’t tell you how phenomenal this home is. Walking distance to everything in Avila. Close to a golf course. Roof top grilling and fire pit. Cornhole, ping pong, shuffle board, big screen, Sonos, sliding glass doors with chairs that look out at the coast. It literally doesn’t get any better. You will not regret staying here.

Great location, wonderful check in process by Gillian. Cool basement area for the kids with shuffle board and table tennis. Great restaurants right next to home. A good splurge given the location and friendliness.

1st time visiting Avila
I found Avila while looking for a place we had not been to and was an easy drive,.The house is on the Main Street no driving until we left.The house is clean and spacious, the view on top is amazing . The pictures on Vrbo show how great this house is, so much room we enjoyed the fireplace the upper deck, the front porch etc. We plan to go back soon.

The Ultimate Beach House Experience
The location and comforts of this house make our experiences each year memorable! Our family (7 adults, a toddler and an infant) look forward to our stay every year in this beautiful house. It’s comfortable and centrally located in the best part of town with spectacular views. The house is fully equipped for cooking meals, bedrooms are comfortable and bathrooms are well stocked. Just bring your clothes and food! The property manager, Gillian, is very thoughtful and is always responsive to questions. We look forward to coming back soon!
