Spacious, light filled and very clean home :). Peaceful garden. Plenty bathroom towels and kitchen crockery etc. Comfortable beds. Decks are great.

We had a lovely stay as a family! The place is super clean and there are a lot of toys, books, games and equipment for young babies.

We had a lovely time. The dog loved the massive garden. Beautiful views from the top of the garden. Well equipped house and loads of space for us 5 adults. Right on the edge of the village so a 10 minute walk to all the shops, cafes and restaurants. Will come again.

As the heading suggests, the location is stunning. The land on which the property stands is beautiful and the dogs loved it, as did we. A short walk to the historic kangaroo valley village with lots of yummy cafes and boutique stores. A short drive to the coast and the nearby town of Berry, as well as some wineries and walking trails. Sadly the walking trail in kangaroo valley has fox bait at the moment so didn’t risk taking the dogs. But this was well signed. The property description itself is a little misleading in its detail. When I included the filter 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, it came up in the search. It is in fact 2.5 bathrooms with the 2nd bathroom being an outhouse which was cold, outdated and outside! So really only 1 bathroom which wasn’t what we were looking for. It also said hot tub which was in fact a spa bath although that wasn’t an issue. The kitchen wasn’t clean although I can’t fault the very clean and luxurious bed linen. It felt like sleeping on a cloud. Lovely. The bath towels, while plentiful, were small and not fluffy. In summary, the location, the land, the bed covers and the fireplace made the holiday (the company was ok too but nothing to do with the property listing!). For the price, little luxuries would have meant alot for a small investment, but mostly the cleanliness of the kitchen was expected and not delivered. We let the property owner know so the next renters could enjoy a higher standard and he was very receptive to the feedback.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Secret Garden. The house was cozy and equipped with everything we needed, grounds and views were stunning. Fantastic location, short stroll to local village and beautiful surroundings to enjoy.

We had a wonderful 3 night break at the Secret Garden. Relaxing environment for our family (inc 2 teenagers and Grandparents)
Absolutely love the outlook at the back of the house of the wonderful valley.
The firepit and BBQ setting also was fabulous even on the super cold nights.
Extremely comfortable beds also made the whole trip extremely enjoyable.

The property was excellent for our 2 dogs & they enjoyed the freedom to explore and run around. The garden was fun, a little overgrown & ponds were trouble for our retrievers, the hose was well used. Was great to sit around the fire under the stars. The house was lovely and had everything we needed, except for the smell of mould throughout, especially in the bedrooms which would stop me from rebooking this property.

The cottage and location are absolutely perfect. We loved the outside fire pit and the view from the lookout on the property is absolutely spectacular. It is impossible to stay at this cottage and not unwind, relax and rejuvenate. It was exactly what we needed.

My family (my Mum, husband, 2 girls and me) had an idylic weekend away at this lovely, quiet and cosy property.
The corner jacuzzi bath was an absolute hit - especially when three of us climbed in! Also, as someone who appreciately a hot, powerful shower - this one certainly doesnt dissappoint! The toys and dvds are a lovely touch and being able to walk to the village and all its amenities made the secret garden somewheer we'd love to return to.

Perfect location, within a short stroll to the village. House was clean and welcoming. Loved the enenings by the fire pit out the back. I would recommend this accommodation to everyone.

We had a wonderful weekend. Lovely location, easy walk into town, peaceful walk in the property to some awesome views.

Overgrown gardens unkept lawns and pathways to lookout hazardous.. wouldn’t advise children or pets here.. key box to property wasn’t secured it was already open when we arrived. Lights over bbq didn’t work. Main bedroom ceiling light and fan didn’t work. Stand alone fan was faulty.
Photos really need updating as it’s very misleading.

fantastic property in a great location. having a large dog the property was ideal with plenty of acres for exercising. small dogs could be problem as space under the front gate which fronts the main road leading into the shopping centre. overall its a wonderful homely house with everything you need. love the new renovated kitchen, and the spa makes it very special. will definately visit again.

Beautiful
We had a gorgeous stay at the Secret Garden Cottage. A wonderful property for families, as the setup is very child-friendly and my children particularly loved exploring and playing in the lovely gardens. The little walk to the lookout up the back was easy, with a gorgeous view of the escarpment and mists. A thoroughly relaxing and refreshing stay. We would love to go back.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Secret Garden Cottage. Although El Niño made the weather less than ideal, we were still able to enjoy the garden and interact with the echidnas. And the location meant it was just a stroll into town to shop, drink and dine. All in all, a very relaxing few days.

Great place for a weekend away with friends. Comfortable, warm and cozy on the couple of rainy cold days we had, but equally bright and light when the sun shone. Has lovely gardens and outdoor space though we didn’t use this due to weather.

Loved this property inside and out! The kids say they will miss this place and the dogs enjoyed it too. Such a beautiful property to walk around in and explore. The rain held off on the first night so we enjoyed the outdoor fire pit snd the next night when it was raining it was so lovely to have the indoor fire going and the kids had a spa bath. Perfect recipe after kayaking in the rain in the morning.
