We enjoyed our time here

Great property ! We just made a lifetime of memories with our family at this cabin. Family of 11 and we were very comfortable.

The overall experience was fantastic.

Our stay was awesome very relaxing and quite. The cabin was cleaned and had everything we needed specially washer and dryer loved it! Amazing views and close to everything.

The cabin was great for the 7 of us. Plenty of room and space to relax. The water level was low due to the season but would be great for the regular season to put a boat in and go fishing. Very nice and peaceful. Would recommend to anyone.

The home was lovely, as was the lake. We loved the Jacuzzi and walk-in shower in the master bedroom. Our 18 year old claimed the living area downstairs and played a lot of pool. It is a lovely scenic area with ducks and geese on the pond. I spent a lot of time on the porch in the swing or rocking while the guys fished. It was very peaceful.

Very peaceful and roomy for a group of 10. Had everything we needed. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back again.

Very nice place to stay!

We had the best time!! This was halfway point to connect with our son and family!! I would not suggest arriving in the dark as this is a typical lakeside cabin getaway neighborhood. The cabin very clean and tidy. The kitchen was not as well stocked as we would have liked. There was only one wine glass although we purchased some as our gift to the owners. We truly enjoyed the lake views and outdoor living space!! I would add a word of caution if you are swimming close to the dock. Beware of water moccasins as they are not too shy to approach a swimmer!!!! All in all we would definitely rent this cabin again!!!

Property was as described...dock was great and provided deep water for our 25 foot boat. Suggest borrowing boat ramp key from a neighbor to use the concrete ramp at the end of the street. Previous renters left the oven, air fryer, and grills dirty unfortunately.

We rented this cabin to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday. Our extended family really enjoyed our stay and mom has raved about it since we left. The cabin is top notch and everything was in good order. Loved the kitchen and the dock and mom caught 2 fish on her birthday!

This was a beautiful property!! We very much enjoyed our stay. The floating dock with easy access to the lake was a great amenity that we used fully. One warning is that the ramp to the dock is STEEP and not recommended for anyone with physical/walking challenges (our kids handled it well). Also, there is another queen sized bed and futon in the basement with a half bath. This is not shown/advertised in the listing and we initially planned on arranging our group in all the upstairs rooms. The extra sleeping locations were much appreciated and allowed us to spread out and feel way more relaxed. That was a very nice surprise. We were planning on two bunk beds in the kids room but it was only one bunk bed and then a full bed with a pull out trundle. Those are wonderful sleeping arrangements for our group but we did have to rearrange kid expectations/disappointments for not being able to sleep in a top bunk (we would’ve been able to avoid the kid disappointment had we known in advance). The location is close enough to all the local attractions of Gaitlinburg and Pigeon Forge that we were able to easily take advantage of the fun but far enough away from all the tourist places that we had plenty of peace and quiet in the morning/evenings. The hummingbird watching is amazing!! I enjoyed a quiet cup of coffee every morning watching the sunrise and seeing a ton of hummingbirds. It was a great cabin/house and we would absolutely return if the opportunity arises. Highly recommend

Convenient to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Dollywood. Days on the lake were incredible and followed by beautiful sunsets.

Once we arrived, we had a little issue with the hot tub and I contacted the property manager. They sent someone out immediately to fix it even after hours!! The view was amazing and the cabin was very clean! We had such a great stay and will definitely be back!

Overall, it was an amazing cabin. Gorgeous view and house. At first, we struggled with the aggressive and blunt attitude of the property manager when booking, but we are willing to forgive as we very much enjoyed our stay. The house was absolutely beautiful. The lake was low during our stay so we couldn’t use the dock, so make sure to check before booking. It was listed in the posting that it could potentially be low. Even so, we enjoyed the lake and scenic view. Everything was as described, and overall the house was amazing.

I have a few criticisms and suggestions which I will email to the owners. But for the most part it was clean and very roomy. Each room has a smart TV. Lots of dining seating. Very comfy living area. Beautiful view. Away from hustle and bustle of the city but not a far drive. Make sure to read not just the vrbo agreement but also the Douglas Lake agreement! Kitchen is not stocked well for people who like to cook a lot but we made do. Bring disposable cooking pans! It was a very pleasant stay!

Great view, BUT…manager was very unpleasant to work with. Property was not very clean and well-worn…doorknobs falling off, not enough towels, lightbulbs were out, we had to secure screws in the bunk bed which was so wobbly it wasn’t safe. Owner and property manager refused to help, refused to refund any money at all…property manager was not helpful. Had to go out and buy our own toilet paper (what????) and haul off our own garbage, PLUS the previous tenants’ garbage that was left in the kitchen with maggots. The owner refused to give any money back, even though there was an expensive cleaning fee that we paid upfront. View is beautiful…but they were not hospitable at all.

From start to finish we had an amazing time at this comfortable, nicely decorated, & spacious lake house! The views of the lake were breath taking. The floating dock was perfect for relaxing & enjoying time on the water. We enjoyed spending time on both the upper & lower decks & using the grill for a family BBQ night. The hot tub was relaxing especially after a few games of pool in the large basement. We enjoyed the peace & tranquility the location of the house provided, but loved that we were no more than 30 minutes from tourist attractions (Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, Great Smoky Mountains National Park). The beds were very comfortable & all of the kitchen appliances/washer & dryer were new. The cabinets were stocked with plenty of dishes, bowls, mugs, flatware as well as pots & pans. The refrigerator has an ice maker with filtered water. Overall, this was a perfect house for our family of seven. I highly recommend this beautiful lake home!

Love the view and fishing

Location of house and lake are excellent, the road to and from to buy ice, groceries, and such is ok, but I would let folks know that there is some hairpin turns and to be ready for on coming traffic to be over center line of road. It is a country road and caution is the best policy. The house's boat dock was excellent, and although the boat ramp was just a small distance away, launching water craft was easy and a very short trip to get to the dock. Living quarters were nice and both inside and out was decorated very nice. porch swing was great. Fishing, swimming, and boating was excellent right at the dock or in any direction from the dock. The barbeque was excellent; good size and quality. Overall my family and I had a great time at the house and the local area. We were able to make some great memories and we appreciate being able to stay in your home.

Pros: The view from the cabin is beautiful. The dock and the lake are great. The water off the dock is clear and deep so you can jump off and swim without worry. Cons: The cabin was not very clean. or well maintained at all. Upon arrival I found someones "leftovers" (#2) in the master toilet. To say the least this did not start me out on a good note. Th first night as I was loading the dishwasher, I found very dirty used utensils in the dishwasher that were obviously left from the previous guest There was dried ketchup or jam and white (maybe pancake batter) on the cabinets. The pots and pans and baking sheets were dirty and pretty much destroyed. The kitchen is not very well stocked at all especially if you plan to make meals which I did. Normally, I wouldn't mind but with the average daily rental rate we ended up paying with all the fees (which there are a lot) came out to almost $500 per night, this is unacceptable!!! You are definitely paying for the lake location but I am sure there are much better ones out there. The AC return was covered in dust and dog hair. It had obviously not been dusted in a while. It looked like the hot tub had not been cleaned either as there was dirt in it when my son pulled back the cover to use it. There were newer appliances which were nice but the washing machine smelled badly and the rubber seal was all moldy. It obviously needs to have a tub clean and the seal replaced. Both grills had crusted on food remainders on them. There was a pair of dirty socks left on the picnic table on the upper deck. The video game was broken. The pillows (more like pancakes) are old, flat and stained so bring your own if you decide to stay here. I called the management company while we were there (the day after we checked in) and left them a very detailed message regarding the cleanliness and issues and never got a response! We had 2 of our son's friends with us so we made the most of it otherwise we probably would have left. We did have fun on the lake and in Pigeon Forge. It was nice to have the dock to swim and fish off. We rented a boat and did some tubing. Overall I can say as a previous rental cabin owner this place is severly neglected. I understand people will not treat things as nicely as you would like but it is the management company's responsibilty to oversee the property and replace items as needed. This property desperately needs some TLC.! I would NOT recommend it. Sorry.

Great house on great property. Awesome lake access with great dock. We had a pontoon and jet ski there and still had room to swim. Had a minor issue getting hot tub going but owner responded immediately and we were back in business!. Kitchen has the essentials but gourmet cooks may find it lacking in supplies. Appliances and furniture all in excellent condition! Beds were all great too! Our adult kids (all in their 20's) all loved it and were asking to come back again. Will definitely look to stay here again!
