Old Hotel

location is good very nice restaurant around the stuff is great nice welcoming at the front desk and the restaurant especially the chef and Zynab our room air condition was not warm so they offer us to change the room but we refuse then they offer us a portable one.

It was a comfortable stay and I would particularly like to thank and compliment Veronica in the front reception and the chef at breakfast both of whom were so helpful and friendly 😊

Breakfast was nice specially Chef's who were cooking omlette and pancakes were the best.

Bathroom was not clean good and I requested non-smoking room unfurtunetly they arranged me smoking room. I have allergy about smoke so I had really trouble about it. Secondly hotel seems old you can not be sure at this hotel is under the name of Coutyard. Therefore location was very good

The location is good, half an hour away from the center but still close to the action. There is a great selection of restaurants and cafés nearby. The staff is friendly and eager to help. The room is clean and almost exceptionally cosy. We also always love having access to the gym (??) and the sauna so that’s definitely an added value.

Not much to dislike, it’s hard to justify the price when the whole city is above average in terms of hotel fares. It would have been nice to have the bathrobes for the sauna already in the room at check-in instead of having to ask for them at the reception. Our keycards stopped working an hour or so before our check-out time limit. It was all solved quickly by the staff. If there was something I would change about the room, it would be the chair, it really doesn’t do the rest of the room justice in terms of comfort and looks. I cannot judge the restaurant because the high prices made us look elsewhere right when we heard them. Maybe the food quality justifies the price (20+€ for breakfast for example) but I don’t have a way to know.

The place is very good, quite calm and at a walking distance to the city centre; the room is nice, breakfasts were very tasty and the big man preparing omlets - extremely nice! The idea of having water for free at the lobby area is perfect.

The towels were quite small and of very poor quality, the person with long hair needs better towels - and bigger. The bathroom has just one means of light - very bright, which at night is quite disturbing. The glass table is not comfortable and could be even a bit dangerous at night. We were not inform about problems with parking space which was not available.

Helpful and friendly staff, both on the reception and in the restaurant. Nice quiet location, especially if you like to walk or jog. Very good breakfast.

Some facilities in the room were not properly working. For example, the plug of a water drain hole in the bathtub was not working, so I had to remove it manually.

The main dissappointment was the fact that we were not checked in the first night and were provided accommodation in a hotel next door. The story was about 2 covid-positive tested guests ...hard to believe in situation when no-one ever requires the covid-pass or test ... the truth is there was a overbooking which I find very awkward, in particular, when the rooms were PRE-PAID!!!! I didn't like the behaviour of the night shift staff who didn't communicate properly, and then the arrogant approach of the staff in the next-door hotel .... I am quite tolerant to mistakes. If they told us that there was a mistake and gave us a voucher for free breakfast, I wouldn't say a word ...but the story about covid .... very weak
