Was our 3rd trip to same exactly location, we simply love this place , highly recommend

As noted by many, the drive up to the property is an adventure. But it's definitely worth it. The property is beautiful and very well maintained. The views are amazing. We were visited by toucans and other birds as we lounged by the infinity pool. We had a very relaxing stay and were sorry when it was over. Oscar was super helpful. Highly recommended!

The property is exactly as described, and our property manager Oscar was very responsive and wonderful. The only problem we had was the off-roading feeling we had reach time we got out to explore other places, roads to the property are bad. Rest the views, the property itself were worth it.

This property is absolutely perfect. I usually try to add some constructive criticism but with this home I am 100% happy. We were just two and the place was perfectly sized, even with two more it would work well. We spent most of time time outside gazing at the magnificent view and I suspect you would too. The house is stocked with essentials and very, very comfortable. A highlight was being greeted within minutes of our arrival by a flock of Toucans that visited regularly each morning. You need a 4x4. Fact! Enjoy

Don't let the drive from the highway discourage you, it's so worth it! The roads are very well maintained, just really steep so 4wd is a must. Besides, once you get there, you never want to leave. We were so happy with the time spent there, it was very private, and the views were absolutely captivating. One of my many favorite features was the unique shower which opened up into a lush garden area that was like the garden of eden. Oscar our concierge was so helpful. Truly an unforgettable experience and I cant wait to come back.

My family stayed here for 7 nights. A fantastic home tucked into the jungle. The views are really amazing. We spent a lot of time in the pool gazing out at the vista. We highly recommend a stay here. The only thing that we thought could be improved upon was the router for the internet was old and therefore the connection wasn’t as good as it could have been. A back up generator could also help during the blackouts. Aside from this it was spectacular.

Absolutely impressed with this property. The view and the home itself, was so nice and well kept that I never wanted to leave. Could have sat by the pool all day with a view like this. Our concierge Oscar was without a doubt the best resource on this trip, he was always available for help or questions. He even went on our white water rafting trip with us!! 5 stars for Oscar! Oscar also escorted us up the mountain on arrival to make sure we found our way perfectly. Our first trip up the mountain was a little intense but got better each trip up and down. If this home is on your list just go ahead and choose this one. I would hands down come back to this place over and over again. Pura Vida :)

If you’re looking for amazing views, this house is for you! High up in the hills outside of Dominical and Uvita, it’s a great house with a great property manager. He was in constant contact with us as needed for different things such as booking adventures and power outages. Things you need to know for this house: the 4x4 car is not an option. It’s a fun and amazing drive getting up to the house on (mostly) unpaved roads for 4 miles. If you’re not the adventurous type, this house might not be for you. The drive is worth it though as the views you see in the picture are 100% what you get. We saw Toucans every morning, usually 3-4. We had a friendly Coati come by our house as well (pretty much a Costa Rican raccoon). There were 3 frogs/toads that came by every night to join us next to the pool. This is Costa Rica, so just know your power might go out and flicker every so often, but just make the best of it and enjoy the amazing views and environment. I’ve already told my friends and hope they get to experience this house if they make the trip down!

Initial feelings were a bit mixed while following Oscar, the property manager, up the road. I had read all the reviews but you really have to experience it to understand. Let me tell you that when we pulled into the driveway, all of our worried dissolved! I have not seen a view like that and it’s worth every minute of the 20 min drive up. Oscar told us that the first time was the worst and the second is better- it was very true! After that first drive, every other one was a breeze! He assured us it was safe even in rain and it was. Now about the property!! Absolutely breathtaking! I can’t imagine there is a better view in the area than the one we had. The infinity pool was refreshing and beautiful. Every morning we watched the toucans playing in the trees. The landscaping was meticulous and beautifully done. Inside the house we had everything we needed! The dishwasher was a bonus! The house was clean and tidy and had games and movies for the kids. A/C in the bedrooms also spilled over to the main space so it was always nice and cool inside. What a beautiful/comfortable space! We do hope to return one day! Thank you, Oscar for your help! He went above and beyond booking a whale watching trip and also helping us make a dinner reservation at Gusto’s (highly recommend). We spent 5 days at Olas Azul with a family of 4. The house can not be better: fully equipped with everyhting you can ask for, super-well climatized and with all the privacy you can ask for. The view across the forest and the ocean is breathtaking. We even spent a few days in the house and pool only without driving down. Be aware that you need a 4-wheel drive and a bit of patience and getting here from the main road - but you will be rewarded ten times over.

Place exactly as described and pictured. Very private and secluded. Panoramic ocean views for miles. Loved the constantly changing weather. Didn't need much of the assistance, but knew that Oscar was a call or Whats App text away.

The property was clean and well maintained and had an incredible view. It should be called Casa Toucan as we had daily visitors of as many as 12 Toucans simultaneously in the trees around the pool... the only downside was the long drive (18 minutes or so from the Coast Highway) up a mostly dirt and gravel road. But the view, the Toucans, the pool and the overall condition of the property made it worth the drive. We give it 5 stars!

Wonderful home to spend a week in. Great views every morning and waking up to the sound of howler monkeys. So many birds and coatis around. The house sits high up on a mountaintop, about 30 mins from uvita or dominical, but there are 2 great places for food only 12 minutes away, scala and sibu. We are at both multiple times and the food is excellent, highly recommend. The house was equip with everything we needed and communication with the property manager was excellent. Would certainly stay here again!

I recently had the privilege of staying at this magnificent house nestled amidst the lush greenery of Costa Rica's mesmerizing mountains. Just a 25-minute drive up the mountainside, this secluded oasis offered an unparalleled escape from the bustle of everyday life. From the moment I arrived, I was enchanted by the symphony of nature that surrounded me. Perched on a hill, the house boasted breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The first thing that caught my eye was the sparkling pool, glistening under the tropical sun. It provided the perfect spot to cool off after a long day of exploration or simply to laze around, soaking up the stunning vistas. One of the highlights of my stay was the vibrant wildlife that visited the property. As I sat on the terrace, I was treated to an orchestra of sounds from the feathered residents of the jungle. Toucans gracefully glided from tree to tree, their colorful beaks a sight to behold. Howler monkeys, with their distinctive calls, could be heard in the distance, adding to the enchantment of the place. I even had the pleasure of encountering jungle chickens, their vibrant plumage adding a touch of whimsy to the surroundings. The house itself was a haven of comfort and elegance. The open design allowed for a seamless integration with nature, as if the boundaries between indoors and outdoors had merged.

You'll be hard pressed to find a better view. Everything worked well here. Functional nice house. Grinder of a drive up is the only negative.

We keep coming back, what else to be said? The area is certainly getting busier, and this house provides the perfect balance of proximity and privacy. Oscar is an excellent host, very responsive to any needs as always. Pura Vida!

Amazing view!

Our stay at the Casa was wonderful. The home is everything the description says, and the view is indescribable. The trip up the road to the house is as described in other reviews. The drive is worth it for the destination. The process of checking in and getting settle was made easier by Oscar, the concierge fro Paradise Management. Oscar was extremely accommodating, and a pleasure to work with. We will surely return.

The property was just as listed and perfect for us. You definitely need four wheel drive to go up and down the mountain. The house had everything we needed and had nice breezes at night. We saw so many different kinds of birds that we couldn’t keep track. The toucans came by daily and the tanagers were various and plenty. Ur only minor issue was that the previous tenant’s garbage was still in the bin outside and a coati got into it at night stinking up the bathroom that had an open window. We would recommend the property and would return again.

Beautiful views, and privacy that you and your wife will love! Definitely need a 4x4 to get to the villa, very steep inclines on rock and dirt with some paved spots. But it is definitely worth it. We will definitely be back!

This property was beautiful. The pool was lovely and the view incredible. I would strongly advise against driving here in the dark and rain. That was how we came in the first day and it was a little stressful. A 4x4 vehicle is the only way to go. The roads are dirt/gravel and very steep in some spots, but entirely manageable with 4 wheel drive. Oscar was wonderful to work with. He set up our rental car with no issues. This home is within a 30 minute drive to Playa Dominicalito to get to the beach and Super Dominical (market) OR in the other direction Uvita Beach and other markets/restaurants. We did whale watching through Bahai Adventuras in Uvita and ate at Las Esteras down by the Bellena National Park entrance. We had a wonderful stay. Thank you!

The extraordinary views and beautiful yard were unparalleled. The drive up was intense in places but totally worth it for the privacy and views. Oscar, the property manager, could not have been more gracious or helpful. He was so attentive and helped to arrange many details of our trip. Olas Azul made for a wonderful family vacation.

We had an amazing time here! The house is amazing and the view truly can’t be overstated. Oscar was amazing to have helping us at each step and the area is beautiful. Some cautions: the road is as steep and windy as they say, 4x4 drive definitely necessary. It takes about 25 min to get up and down each trip. Also, because of the remote location, we had our power and internet go out a few times — always resolved relatively quick, but if you are staying here, you may want a back up way of communication other than the Wi-Fi (which we luckily had.) We loved our stay and would 1000% come back again. We stayed 3 places in CR and this was our favorite.

This is a wonderful property inside and out, with ocean and jungle views to die for. My wife and I spent most of 11days here on the patio and pool deck watching the famous Whale’s Tail formation appear and disappear with the tides. Great relaxation period after the trials of the pandemic. The wild life are prevalent. We often saw coati and also an agouti walking by the pool. We were visited nightly by 3 huge brown frogs who wanted to share the patio with us. The birds are spectacular. Costa Verde Estates was much more spread out than we had imagined, with very upscale properties on large lots well separated. You were not conscious of any neighbours. The ride up and down needs to be viewed as a Costa Rica adventure. Overall and excellent experience and good value. Highly recommend for couples and families. Art C. - Aurora Ontario Canada

Just stay there , love the location,privacy is amazing, views are amazing, we have a coffee in the morning each morning for two hours just enjoying the view... ride to the villa is challenging / I love it , I just wish to have a more powerful car for those tight corners 😜😜. The place is perfect for “stay at home” type of vacation... even though there is plenty to do around you just might say f... we love the view we going nowhere today... great restaurants around with amazing food , grocery shopping to have a breakfast at home - no problem , fruits just so goood , we have rent vacation homes many times, this place just swallowed all of them , best regards to the Oscar THE MANAGER ,and to the owner for allowing to enjoy his beautiful home , will be back, Happy New Year

Property is awesome the drive each time was awful. The view is great but to me not worth the trip up a few time a day. Even a car flipped over the side.

Beautiful home nestled in the jungle with incredible views. Owner and Concierge were very helpful. Home was clean, well stocked and extremely private. Hope to visit again someday.

This property is nestled high up on a hill side. The pool was a really nice treat. We could’ve spent days by the pool reading books. Our kids spent hours in the pool. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfy, the home was perfect for our family of 4.

Our family spent 4 nights in the villa and had a relaxing time. We actually found ourselves content in just staying at the villa watching the birds and listening to all the sounds of the wildlife around us instead of running all over the place to see things. The villa was properly equipped with everything one would need to prepare meals and to cook as well as a washer, dryer and dishwasher.. The infinity pool was refreshing on the hot days sand the view of the whales tail from the villa was spectacular. Getting to the villa, you will definitely a 4x4 as the villa is up in the mountains and the roads are mostly unpaved and steep. Driving at night can also a challenge but it is all worth it if you feel comfortable with driving in Costa Rica. Upon arrival in Dominical, our GPS (Waze) did not get us to the villa but got us close enough to the villa for Oscar to meet us and follow him to the villa. Oscar was a life saver after a long drive from the Liberia area and during our stay, Oscar was available whenever we needed him to give us tips or advice of things to do. The villa is really private but I did wish we knew about the grounds keepers coming and working while we were there. It took them a couple hours to work on the property and it was not a huge deal so we just changed our plans and went into town instead of hanging out. When all said and done, We give the property and Oscar 5 stars for making sure our stay in the villa was enjoyable. We will be back again!

This was our second stay and just like last time we had a great time.

We really enjoyed our stay. The property manager communicated well and made sure we enjoyed our stay. The area is secluded and had a very private feel.
