Friendly staff, excellent room and facilities. Staff were all super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was tasty and well cooked. Will definitely like to stay here again when we visit the new forest.

Everything was great nothing to not like

Very clean and well appointed. Lovely restaurant and garden area. Good tv channels.

Narrow staircase quite difficult to access room however staff helped with transporting luggage which was bonus. It would have helped to have previous information about location of car park.

Large room friendly staff, great food

The Stag Hotel was excellent. Great facilities, very clean. Plenty of space and a lovely staff team. The food in the restaurant was also excellent. We really enjoyed the pie of the day as well as lunch offerings and the breakfast that was included in our stay was consistently very good. We didn't bring our dog, but over our 3 day stay many people brought in their dogs. It was very dog friendly, they even offer a dog menu for a Sunday Roast!

Nothing to dislike

We received a very friendly welcome, everyone here is so nice and accommodating. We stayed with our dog and we’ve never stayed anywhere so suited to holidaying with your dog. They had everything you could possibly need and she was made to feel as welcome as we were. Our room was lovely and clean, well presented and the food was amazing. A break breakfast each morning was included in the price of the room. We’d recommend The Stag to anyone looking to stay in the New Forest, especially if they are looking to go away with their dog. Thank you to all that staff here who couldn’t have done more for us.

Ambience in bar, breakfast, staff

Bedroom - too small, noisy from pub next door - woken up early with barrels being delivered and workmen talking, view awful, remote didn’t work properly for TV it was hard work, bar was shut earlier than time stated on occasion.

Room was lovely and the staff were amazingly friendly. The location is stunning and has alot around it, many places to eat visit and enjoy.

The breakfast was very poor value for money. Very very small breakfast on offer for the £10 each supplement. I would recommend saving the money and going to a local cafe.

Great pub with large back garden and parking. We had lunch when we arrived with was lovely. Location worked perfectly for us and the staff were superb! Room was really nice with some great extras.

central property in Lyndhurst with parking, modern themed decor, they had clearly thought of the heat (actually stayed in June not March) and there were fans etc in the rooms which were great. Excellent breakfast. such helpful and friendly staff especially when we had to rearrange our trip due to illness

there was an issue with the hot water so we had cold showers but a very miniscule detail in the grand scheme of things.

Could not get shower to have hot water... it was 8am so maybe if others have shower it does have enough hot water?

Lovely big room and very quiet considering it's right on the busiest street in the New Forest. Great soundproofing. awesome staff - couldn't do enough including the chef who cooked extra sausages for our choc newfador Ozzy. Highly recommend- will be back
