Sijainti ihan täykky. Rinteisiin pääsee helposti suoraan mökistä. Kävely matka Kunkusta ja Piazzasta. Huone siisti ja isäntäpariskunta ystävällisiä. Kaikki toimi moitteettomasti. Voisin tulla uudelleen!

Location was very convenient, right on the slopes. Sauna was exceptionally good, even in finnish standards. Facilities were good, snowboard gear storage, ski waxing room and dryer closets. Staff was very friendly and flexible.

I didnt like much. The ski-in/ski-out was nice.

RANDOM PRICE INCREASE: To start with, the accommodation informed me one day before the arrival that I have to pay 100€ extra to a reservation paid in full one month before. The explanation was that the owner had made a mistake in the pricing, and that the "real" price, is something I should now pay. I told that my original confirmed and fully paid reservation is fine for me, and that I'm not willing to pay random extra fees. This led to a threats of reduced service levels (no parking allowed for me, I have to swap rooms during my stay), and finally on the day of travel to a threat to cancel my whole 3 day reservation if I don't pay extra. As the destination was completely booked and we had gathering of friends & family, I thought that I'll pay now and later see what rules of Booking / laws of Finland say about that. Good thing that this random fee was just 100€, not 1000€. SCOLDING UPON ARRIVAL: Upon arrival I received scolding from the owner, because I had not been eagerly willing to pay his extra fee of 100€. As a revenge, he refused to let me park in the parking lot of the house. SOUNDS: There is very little sound proof in the building. It is easy to follow conversations in surrounding rooms & hear people walking around the building. "DOUBLE BED": double bed meant two separate beds close to each other. The beds were unattached and tended to slip away from each other during the night.

Beautiful house with a caring host. Perfect location. One can ski directly from the door to the lift.

Atmosphere, host, dogs and especially cat, piki by name. Breakfast also good

I highly recommend Tahkonhovi for anyone visiting Tahko! The place has exceptionally friendIy, helpful staff, very welcoming athmosphere and environmentally conscious routines. The slopes are basically at the doorsteps of the house and the sauna is the best I've experienced.
