The view was amazing

Comfortable apartment with a lovely balcony, very well equipped, lovely hostess.

The last 50 meters to the apartment is up a very steep hill. (but of course we came for hill walking!)

Unwelcoming check in experiance Only accpting cash as security deposit ( accepting credit card as per the property booking profile) I was short with my cash change she did not let me in until I go back to the village to withdraw the remaining security deposit from ATM. I asked for a receipt she gave me tiny sticky note with the amount of the deposit and her signature completely unprofessional and unofficial way of communicating with customers. The experience not free that's was not mentioned in the booking.com property profile. I forgot something from the car tonight after 9:30 pm, unfortunately, the main door was locked by the owner without providing a key to guests. To many discrepancies between what listed in the property profile including : accepting credit card, location, laundry charged ... Linens and towels are are not White Part of hospitality standed to use white ones

The location, on the edge of Grindelwald with an amazing view, could not have been better. We were so glad not to be in the touristy Centre but it was within walking distance. The chalet was the perfect size and we were thrilled with the balcony view. It was a lovely and quiet location. We would stay there again. Meeting Doris to collect the keys was easy and convenient. Great location for mountain walks. The WiFi was fine too.

The decoration was very 1970s but the apartment (and kitchen) was very well equipped and comfortable. It may look basic on booking.com but I’d really recommend this place.
