This is a great property in the heart of Sebastopol. Really lovely and thoughtful owners; a very nicely equipped loft; beautifully maintained; and within easy walking distance to downtown. Would highly recommend this place to anyone!

We had a wonderful stay here. The property is so well designed and made to feel welcoming and comfortable. So many things you may not even realize you need are already there for you. The kitchen area is so well done and the bathroom with bath and shower is beautiful. Truly a gem and the perfect place to stay location wise of looking to travel around Sonoma. Nothing was too far away! Hope we can get back soon!

My husband and I stayed here for two nights after getting married in Sebastopol and it was absolutely perfect! So romantic and classy, we felt like royalty! The hosts are amazing communicators and made everything so smooth for us during a very busy weekend. Cannot recommend enough!

This loft is a place i could move into...its gorgeous but very comfortable and anything you could wish for is in it.....oh and the bed is dreamy!! We enjoyed coffee and coffee cake in the mornings and cheese and wine in the evenings....we went out for all other meals and had fun exploring all the wine country has to offer. We had a huge storm one night but the hosts stayed in touch and made sure we were safe and comfortable. I highly recommend this loft...just fyi the bathroom is downstairs and it is dreamy as well!. Thank you for everything ❤

The cottage was as pictured, cozy and comfortable space with an elegant decor and well equipped. It's located in a quiet neighborhood minutes (by car) from restaurants. There aren't enough superlatives to describe this little slice of heaven. Stylish, elegant, yet so cozy and comfortable. It's such a truly special place with everything you could possibly need with the highest level of quality, thoughtfulness and design throughout. Our hosts were absolutely magnificent, too, with a warm welcome and great communication throughout our stay while still ensuring our privacy. We look forward to staying again soon!

We enjoyed our three day stay at the loft. Very cozy and the pictures represent the unit very well. For me it’s not a place to stay if you really want to cook. Keep your cooking limited and you will enjoy the kitchenette area. Delightful visit

This accommodation had everything one could want except a microwave. The stairs to the loft are very comfortable and make for an easy up and down as the bath is on the first floor. The shower is great!

This property is everything you want in a vacation. We stayed three nights and I would have loved to stay forever!! The home is beautiful. The surroundings are peaceful. The location is perfect. The shower and amenities are pure Luxury. Then you get premium ground coffee with organic half & half in a glass bottle. Then you get a delicious breakfast, choice of the most amazing box of mini scones or a chocolate croissant w/ berries or avocado toast w/ egg or something else wonderful per person per day. I cancelled two romantic restaurant reservations because we wanted to enjoy this home. We went to the Wholefoods and got steak, pasta and cake. So much nicer then some overpriced restaurant, with the money you saved you can by champagne and chocolates! I really can't say enough good things except, Stay Here! You won't regret it!

Not only an ideal leafy, quiet location for any Sebastopol or Sonoma area stay, this is an idyllic retreat. Hosts, Maayan & Annie have crafted a beautiful space, every single object, aspect, material and texture has obviously been painstakingly discussed and deliberately chosen. It is a delightful, thoughtful space, as are the host Maayan & Annie, who greet and care for their guests superbly. I cannot recommend the Sophia George enough, don't hesitate to stay. Megan & Steve

Those are just three words that come to mind when I reflect on our time at The Sophia George. My fiancé and I were honored to be Annie & Maayan’s second guests. This isn’t your typical rental property. If you are looking for more than just a bed and roof over your head… look no further! The Sophia George is THE BEST! You can tell Annie & Maayan poured their heart into making this a sanctuary – a sanctuary that you don’t mind delaying your day’s excursion for to lounge just a little bit longer drinking coffee or tea in the garden. And those breakfasts!!! I’ll get back to that in a moment… We loved the detail and passion our hosts put into The Sophia George that made it not just a place to stay – but somewhere you enjoyed coming home to after a day of wine tasting! The high-end electronics (including iPad & Bose speaker) and appliances (Wolf & Smeg!), comfortable bed (and bedding), ornate doors and chandeliers, provocative artwork, and THAT bathroom – amazing! Annie’s attention to detail touches every corner of the home (even down to the little wallpaper critters peppered throughout – how many can you find?)! Our hosts not only provided this beautiful place to call home, but they also shared all the great places to go – from the beach to wineries to dinner spots in and around the area. They will share as little or as much as you want to know – just ask! Now, let’s talk about those breakfasts! How lucky were we to be able to enjoy Maayan’s culinary talents!? From the Sebastopol Cookie Shop sweet treats (which they own) that awaited our arrival, to the beautiful menu selections, Maayan’s talents abound. Our first morning’s fare was “made by angels” my fiancé proclaimed while taking another bite of the perfectly toasted croissant filled with scrambled eggs and local thick-cut bacon. Breakfasts were a delectable start to our mornings that we looked forward to all day and night long! Staying here is a true experience – not just a place to sleep. You won’t be disappointed if you choose The Sophia George!

The space itself is absolutely stunning. The pictures, while stunning, do not do justice to the attention to every single detail of the space. From the carefully selected finishes, to the labeled light switches, to the B&B feel breakfast menu, every detail is meticulously cared for to treat each guest as a treasure. Equally important is the location. As we initially did, you may question if Sebastopol is close to wine country. We can fully assure you many fantastic vineyards and tasting rooms can be found within minutes of the home. From large wineries such as La Crema and Kendall Jackson to small boutique vineyards, the area is plush with options galore. Within Sebastopol you will also find a hip vibe from "The Barlow" complete with breweries, dinner options and shopping to main street which exudes the small town feel which makes the trip itself a chance to breathe deep and relax. Lastly, you will also find yourself a short ride to the beach and the redwood forest should you desire. Do not miss the opportunity experience this home, the owners and the area. Within a few short years you will wish you had experienced the Sophia George and Sebastopol at the very beginning.

The property was tucked away in a nice quiet neighborhood that is close enough to wine country and the fun that Northern California has to offer. The property was comfortable, full of amenities, and very well thought out. Essentially they have everything you would think to need. The décor was perfect! The bed is comfy! We could not have asked for more. Well done!! Both owners were quick to answer questions and offered a wonderful breakfast option. The breakfast was a great touch – this property offers a warmer feel than most VRBO properties. This felt closer to a B&B but without the crowds of people or over-social hosts. For this experience, the hosts were available to answer questions and they stop by to offer breakfast but that is it! For us, that was awesome. We would easily rent from them again. WONDERFUL experience!!
