The check in process was smooth and very simple! We took a tram from the ferry down to the cottage which only took less than 5 min! :) When we first checked in, the place was spotless and felt like we were checking in at a hotel. Wifi was smooth and TV worked perfectly. More than enough clean towels were provided. Extra table in the closet to do work/eat on. Plenty of kitchen essentials and good working kitchen appliances. The view of the marina was to DIE for and we got to see the prettiest sunsets everyday we were there. The cottage is only a five minute walk to Jules, Wisp, Sandpiper, and Boathouse BHI! The golf cart that David provided work perfectly and was easy to use and very convenient to get around with. David was also a great, hospitable, and very welcoming host! For example, we ran into some problems like our own personal beach umbrella breaking and David’s response time was fast and he personally came down himself to help us fix it. Overall, our stay was phenomenal and likely will book with David again :)

The cottage was the most charming and clean place that I’ve ever stayed at. It’s on the water and in the best location. We had the most amazing weekend here and will definitely come back next summer. Host was excellent and communicated well with us. Everything was excellent!

This property has a great location on the water and has everything you need for 2 people. There is a grill not far from the property to use for cooking out too. The owner was quick to respond and easy to communicate with. We would recommend this property.

The property was fine for 2 people. Everything was in good condition except for the blinds on the door which are in need of repair. It would have been nice to have a full length mirror (versus the one small mirror in the bathroon) as well.

A perfect spot for 2 adults! Everything we needed for 4 wonderful days on BHI…and more! Specifically, the deck has a great view of the marina and bulkhead cottages AND it has a roof which is perfect if you’re looking for a bit of shade and keeps you dry if it happens to rain. Owner, David Wray, is on the ball and very responsive to requests for information about the property and the island…a real pro who wants all of his guests to have a memorable experience. Highly recommend without any reservations! We’ll definitely be back again!

My husband and I stayed here the weekend of our wedding for a "mini-moon." It was absolutely perfect for us and SO beautiful. Great location, clean, and the owner was so easy to get in touch with for any small questions we had. We will definitely be staying here again in the future!

Cute and comfortable! The Star Cottage was perfect for a little getaway for my husband and me. We really enjoyed having our coffee on the porch in the mornings. BHI is such a special place. We would LOVE to return some day.

David, (the Host) is one of the nicest, most accommodating Host who goes above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your stay. This has not been my luck in the past with VRBO, usually the host never even answers us. This is a lovely little cottage with a beautiful view and the island is a wonderful getaway! Bright and clean studio with beautiful views of marina! Lots of activities just steps away (kayaking, biking) or just relax on the porch watching boats and wildlife. Highly recommend!

Our waterfront cottage was the perfect size for two! It had everything we needed including a central location and we especially enjoyed the side porch for a few meals. We also enjoyed exploring the island by golf cart and on foot. We look forward to returning. Thank you!

We really enjoyed it for a week end. Was clean and adequate for what we needed. We were there just two nights for a birthday party on the pavilion at the Yacht club. Couldn’t have been closer! We’d suggest a little more seating in the main room. We’d do it again for a short stay. Location was terrific.

Is advertised as a one bedroom. Is more like a studio, Had a great time. We will be renting this again.

Excellent cottage for a short stay on Bald Head. Having the golf cart and beach chairs as part of the accommodations is wonderful.

We traveled to BHI for a kid-free getaway for a few days. This cottage was perfect for the 2 of us. Good location, golf cart included. It is not a large space, but clean and comfortable. Only suggestion would be to add a full length mirror somewhere, since the only mirror is the small one in the bathroom. If we come back just the 2 of us, we will likely stay here again!

My wife and I had a wonderful weekend staying in this charming cottage on the marina. We were easily able to access local restaurants and other amenities with the included golf cart. This was our first time at Bald Head island, and we couldn’t have had a better place from which to explore and enjoy!
