location of property, food was ok, only basic facilities were provided…. no full length wall/wardrobe mirrors were provided in the room.

Staff member at reception welcome was very poor, bad customer service. we were left waiting for 20 minutes for room check in. Hotel does not cater for elderly guests, not enough comfortable chairs in room, furniture in room was not acceptable for elderly guests this included a chair with wheels, i sat on this chair and subsequently fell off hurting my back. I may be seeking compensations claim for this accident. We requested room service due to mobility issues, to avoid going up and down stairs for meals, we were told that they didn’t have enough staff to provide this service, the establishment basically made a fuss about providing room service, which was eventually provided under duress. On the day of check out we were laughed at by staff members because we enquired about sterling equivalent of dollars we were quoted. We would like 2 nights refunded back due to this unacceptable service.

It is a nice building with a charming courtyard (although it has seen better time)

Needs a renovation it is rundown. Rooms are old, spring mattress old and not comfortable. Pricey for what it is

Healthy and enjoyable breakfast. Staff very accommodating. Nice ambience in the patio area.

The breakfast was great. Very tasty. Not salty

Bathing water was cold

Being a well kept former plantation house it had an interesting history snd some lovely woodwork.

Cara Lodge has a real Guyanese feel to it. We thoroughly enjoyed staying there.

The hot water was never hot.
