We had booked a family room via Booking.com, but the hotel had received instructions for one room. The staff were very helpful and managed to organise rooms to suit our family requirements, inclusive of breakfast for the kids. It's easy to travel into town and surrounding areas from the lodge. The pool was a bonus for the kids

Lovely hotel, great room, comfy clean bed and good bathroom.

Very noisy - instead of having the standard system of putting a note on your door to say do not disturb or please make up room - the staff walk door to door early in the morning shouting HOUSE KEEPING! We were there to sleep and we were woken up with this repeated shouting. We saw that room service was an option by all the dirty plates with food on them left out in the hall way. When I called reception to ask for room service I was put through to the restaurant. There is no menu in the room - there is no info whatsoever in the room. The lady on the phone tried to recite the whole menu to me on the phone. Just put info in the rooms so we know what we can order and when! Standard stuff!

the door keys were not working the whole time we had to be escorted to the rooms, that was a huge inconvenience

the food and the stay was very bad value for money. i waited over an hour for food at the cool beans restaurant then 20 mins for the bill.

The location and facilities are decent. The garden is well maintained.

My Booking.com invoice indicated that breakfast was USD20 at the venue Imagine my surprise when USD28 is deducted from my credit card after breakfast. The manager on duty said Booking.com made a mistake and that breakfast actually cost USD28. I was visibly upset because I felt cheated and they refused to reimburse the USD8. I'm a regular traveller to Harare and these guys have lost my patronage.

Breakfast had a wide range of options and lots of food always available. Staff were always available to help in any way.

There is a pool available however it wasn't kept very clean. Would have been nice to be able to have a swim in the afternoons.
