The location was very good, but unfortunately the sea was inaccessible due to excessive waves. The pool was very nice and well kept, the cleanliness of the room and of the places excellent.

I booked the accommodation a couple of hours before staying, but before booking I tried to contact the host to receive some more information, but after several attempts no one answered, so I booked in order not to lose availability. Once I arrived there, a member of the staff (I assume the manager) also greets me politely because he was unaware of having received a reservation, as I saw him rather unprepared, I told them that I would have liked to see the accommodation before confirming and in case since no one answered me on the phone, I could cancel the reservation for free and look for something else, but he immediately made me understand that it was not possible so I would have to stay there, it was a forced choice and it was not correct at all. However, I had to wait half an hour to enter the accommodation because they had to finish cleaning and preparing it despite the fact that the check in could be done from 2 pm and we were there at about 5 pm. The accommodation included breakfast, but it was a pity that it was very little stuff , limited food, good but limited and very little quantity for the price that I spent anyway. Not recommended.

Perfect place to relax for a few days. In the middle of the beautiful nature you can just enjoy the silence. We felt very comfortable and would definiteley come back.

All OK, nothing wrong, good access to the beach, pool nice, breakfast OK. Aircon, broke, they offer us a new room then next day.... Drinks cold Hotel size nice, but not enough rooms to offer a full service...

Pool OK. not enough beds Beach lovely, sea quite rough. Breakfast OK- had to order the Sri Lankan breakfast the day before. House keeping we had our rooms cleaned on request, not daily if we didn't ask. We only found this out on day 3 when they hadn't been cleaned. no cleaning also meant no new water, bath towels or pool towels. Shower in room difficult to control temperature and water pressure. Payment, stated USD on booking.com, but I could pay in any currency in cash and only in Sri Lankan rupees on card.... card payment with a 3% card surcharge. Overall, everything felt a little bit stale, the hotel needs an injection a life.....

Very nice bungalows on a secluded beach, ideal for a romantic getaway. Everything was perfect : the bungalow with a balcony, the swimming pool, the access to the beach, the breakfast. The best hotel we have seen in Sri Lanka for this price range.

Great, clean and modern rooms with comfy beds. Safe in room, strong aircon. Nice restaurant on the beach, fresh fish every day ! We booked for one night and finally stayed for 1 week... Helpful and unobtrusive staff. Much better value for money than the other resorts to the right and to the left an the same beautiful beach...German owners, some German dishes at the restaurant also.... Clear recommendation ! We will be back !

What a pleasure to arrive at Lanka Beach Bungalows in Tangalle, on the beachfront, after 10 days in the Sri Lankan countryside climbing mountains. A small cocoon with only 6 rooms, feet in the sand with an incredible infinity pool... Just reading this sentence makes you feel relaxed. This is what awaits you at Lanka Beach Bungalows! On the whole southern coast of Sri Lanka, the prices of hotels can climb very quickly. Indeed, it is very difficult to find an affordable hotel, especially in Tangalle where the beaches are huge and crowded with tourists. Well, at the Lanka Beach Bungalows, you will get 75€ a night, including a delicious breakfast. The hotel is also a restaurant and offers quality food at lunch and dinner, at reasonable prices. The best value for money in the area! Moreover, by staying here, you will have a privileged access to one of the most beautiful beaches of the island - an ideal place to admire the sumptuous spectacle offered by the sunset.  We spent 3 days in this little paradise and it was clearly not enough. As frequent travelers, we are used to visiting many hotels around the world, and we can assure you that if you plan to spend some days in Tangalle, you can't miss Lanka Beach Bungalows!!!

- Problems with the AC (it can get very hot) - Few sun beds at the pool - would be nicer without the fence towards the beach like the other hotels on that beach

Beautiful bungalows and very clean place. We enjoyed our stay and the breakfast is good.

The manager and his right-hand guy are not welcoming at all. No smile and some extra charge in scooter rent whereas I only use it for 24h.

Everything was just right here. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious with modern facilities. Excellent and fast internet. The breakfast right on the beach was a dream. You had the choice of 5 very rich variants. The food in the restaurant was also great. We had fresh fish and the seafood platter. A must try! The staff is very courteous, helpful and nice, especially to mention Hansana and Rangana. The perfect place if you want to relax. And if you do want to get out, you can take the TukTuk to the neighboring town or explore the area by their free bicycles. Excellent value for money: We stayed a few nights before in two hotels nearby on the same beach, they were 35 $ more expensive but not better than this tiny jewel... We plan to return to Lanka Beach next year again !

My girlfriend and I absolutely loved our stay here. Perfect location right on an untouched beach with a great pool and delicious breakfast. The staff were incredibly helpful too!

The location of the bungalows were stunning. A very beautifully appointed bungalow resort and a mainhouse villa next door. All with spacious rooms and beautiful swimming pools overlooking the ocean. The service was superb, nothing was too much trouble. The whole resort (bungalows & Villa) are in a quiet spot which ensured complete relaxation. Excellent food, great breakfast with good coffee. Big beds, comfy mattrasses, modern furniture: German management , you can see it in each and every corner.... There are free bicycles to explore the surroundings. Deserted beach , we were almost alone at the beach. We will return one day to Lanka Beach Bungalows for sure !

Quiet location, great pool, excellent rooms and attentive staff.

Our room are NOT sea view... this was more than a little annoying! Understandable, but a little odd that evening meals need to be ordered by 5pm. Some food was not the greatest.

great place to spend relaxing days. We enjoyed every minute there. Friendly staff, spotless clean and modern rooms, big pool, many sunbeds and shade. Delicious food. Fast internet, sorry we had not booked for longer. Sure next year !

Great place to really relax. It’s very quiet. No traffic noise. The only thing you hear is the waves. Direct access to the beach. Nice pool and clean rooms with ensuite bathrooms.

The room had a unpleasant chemical smell, like mothballs. The Manager was not very friendly, but the rest of the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Clean airy bungalows are maintained well. Large airy wash rooms with 24 hours hot cold water supplies. Garden is fairly maintained Beach is clean and isolated with adequate privacy Special request for baby cot and a net was provided free of charge 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 Sri lankan rice and curry( chicken curry) is ace.

It has to be the acces road, which is not car friendly, plan for an SUV or a high ground clearance vehicle.

Nice staff and amazingly good food. Pool area and garden are a small paradise. Rooms have a big size, especially the bathroom. Beach is outstanding silent, but we have been aware. There are just a few sunbeds and no shadow. No shops or bars. The only restaurants at the beach are from other hotels. Not even grabbing a coconut is possible, but for us it was fine to spend a few more quiet days. Food & Drinks in the hotel have been really delicious.

Road to the hotel is tricky as other guests have already confirmed. For going away from there a Tuk Tuk needs to be organized from the hotel. Unfortunately we had 6 noisy geckos in the room (for three nights) - although we catched a few and even the staff removed a few. This was a bit annoying.

The place is isolated..the waves are wild..so cannot swim...and becuse it is islolated they charge an arm and a leg for poorly cooked food...the place is poorly managed...and the front to the beach very uncomftable. We over paid.. Its more like the owner...a german..built his own palace and ended up adding tjese bungolwas as an after thought..we left after 3 days..and the tuk tuk s they got charge us double normal rates

Amazing place with great spacious rooms and tasteful interior. The garden with pool is very relaxing and the beach is just in front of the property. Very quiet place so be prepared to relax and enjoy!

We should have stayed longer ;-)
