This property is a gem! Kitchen had everything you need to eat “in” while there are plenty of eat “out” places within walking distance. The beach is also within walking distance and the host provided wagon was very helpful. There was also an umbrella and three chairs. (Make sure to bring your own beach towels) We spent quite a bit of time at the pool and lazy river which you will have a beautiful view of from this condo. Water temp was great and the area was kept very clean. The beds were adequate, I’m pretty picky on pillows but managed to find one that I liked. Plenty of towels. Having the washer and dryer was great as we could dry our beach towels each day if we wanted to. The bunk bed mattresses may need replacing soon as the springs could be felt. The place stays nice and cool, also there is a box fan that came in handy in the bunk room. The water pressure is also really good. Really happy we found pelican 505 and would definitely stay there again!

The property was just as it was listed, very clean, lots of pools and a little walk to the beach but with the wagon and chairs it was easy.

Porch needs to be pressure washed, coat hanger as coming out of the wall, pots and pans had the tephlone coming off, and TV was not completely stable on the stand. Otherwise the property was extremely comfortable, nicely decorated and clean. The location was perfectly situated next to the beach and bay with restaurants galore. Had a great time and will definitely be back 100%.

This is an amazing property that we would definitely stay at again. The views of the bay from the balcony are incredible and it is an easy walk over to the beach. We made the walk with 3 kids and a cart full of beach gear and had no issues. Local restaurants are great and you can walk to several.

This was the perfect place for a family to stay! The beach was a small walk that was doable with a beach wagon which was provided. The pools were clean and the property was well taken care of. Would highly recommend this place to stay

What an excellent property! The facility was well taken care of. We were in the middle and never heard noises from other locations. The pools and lazy River were perfect for relaxing. Will definitely go again.

We had a wonderful Spring Break week at Pelican 505! The unit was inviting and had everything you could imagine. The beach chairs and beach wagon was helpful. The walk to the beach is about 10 minutes from the time you leave the unit and grab and ride the required elevators (or do the stairs). The children we had along were 16, 15, 14 and 11 so it wasn't bad. However, families with younger children might want to take this into consideration. The Resort was clean, beautiful and we didn't want to leave! Resort Bands we're constantly being asked for, which we were fine with as that just provided an additional level of security during a busy season. We would definitely return to not just this Resort but to Pelican 505.

Children really enjoyed the pool area and nearby shops and activities.

This is the perfect size condo for a family. The amenities to the complex are nice, we liked the pool area. There is plenty of room to space out around the pool without feeling on top of anyone. The location is great, it is near plenty of dining and entertaining. We were happy with all the beach toys although I'd say its time to weed out some of the broken worn toys. We did have a few negatives. We were prepared for the walk to the beach, a few others had warned it is a decent walk, which we didn't mind. You get to the beach by a bridge above the highway. However the elevator was down for about 3 days meaning we had to carry the stroller and beach buggy up 3 flights of stairs. The beach cart was also falling apart and you could tell someone tried fixing it with a plastic bag. There was a used napkin in the bunk room and beer bottles/trash in the beach toys as well. I also never received the parking pass however they did tell me where the extras were so nbd just maybe make sure you ask about it. The complaints were minor other than the elevator that was the only real inconvenience.

The property was exactly as described. My kids loved the lazy river and pools. The beach was a little further walk than we realized but still within walking distance.

The unit was not very clean. The floors were dirty as well as the balcony which the floor was covered in sand. The pool cart had empty bottles in it and when I swept I thought there had been a large dog in there cause there was a lot of what looked like dog hair. The resort itself was amazing but I wish the elevators would have been air conditioned. All the guests complained about that. Our first night we had a huge disturbance in 504 and I had to call 911 for the children that were there due to the man and woman fighting.

The condo is updated will new furnishings and paint. Has everything you need and manager is super organized and friendly. Outside buildings could use a pressure washing and paint. If you came for the beach, this is not the resort. The walk is a pain and takes forever. If you love the pool, the lazy river is a blast. Super strict about 10 pm close of pool and noise. Overall facility needs a good cleaning but inside of condos are nice.

Great condo, great communication, and overall great stay!

We throughly enjoyed our week at Destin West. The condo was a perfect home away from home. We found the kitchen adequately stocked for making meals throughout the week. We appreciated looking out of our room over the pool area to assess the crowds before heading down. My children loved the proximity to the pools. As parents, we appreciated the three heated pools. The walk to the beach was easy thanks to the bridge over the highway. We enjoyed strolls on the beach several times a day and even picked up some meals from the boardwalk because it was close enough to walk to. We had a great week and look forward to returning again soon.

We came in the off season and enjoyed our stay very much! The condo was what we had hoped for and the management was so great to work with which is a plus! The view of the bay is breathtaking and only a short walk to the beach across the skywalk. We enjoyed every minute! Loved the pools and hot tub!

The master bathroom toilet would frequently stick and continue to run. In general the condo needs some t.l.c. to fix small details that are overlooked when you don't live or stay in a place.

Our stay could not have been better. The condo was well prepared and beautifully maintained. The beach access was wonderful. We would gladly stay again at this or any other of David’s properties.

Nice condo, good location, pretty far to walk to the beach if you're a senior. Nice Lazy River and pools. Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen. Our only problem was that the work out room advertised was filthy and no sanitizing what so ever. Broken paper towel holder with no towels, no water cooler or hand sanitizer and no one seemed to know who to contact for this room. Finally one man said it was run be another hotel next door to ours! Sadly this room was not taken care of as shown in the pictures. Disappointment!

Very Nice

Nice condo. Cleanliness could have been better. Floors were not as clean as they could have been. Steps on bunk beds are very dirty. This is a really nice condo with beautiful views. Just needs a little more attention to the cleanliness. That was a bit disappointing.

Property was very spacious, well kept, and clean! My family enjoyed the lazy river, the pool, and of course the beautiful beach which was easily accessible due to the catwalk. Would definitely stay here again!
