Stayed at Pinehill for a summer vacation.Have stayed here before and it was again an a very worthwhile destination. Lots of parkland walks,very quiet area,comfortable house with mega size garden areas, a friendly owner and free Netflix! Already hoping to revisit.

The place was spotless with EVERYTHING anyone could possibly need! It was like going back into my childhood. Old but still fabulous! I’ve stayed in hundreds of places with my job and I have to say that although they were newer, they lacked character and the cosy feel this old retro place has! Great host. I will return 🤗

Enjoyed a great weekend away in Olinda staying at Pine Hill. The host Joanne was a pleasure to deal with. We mentioned that we were visiting to celebrate a birthday and were pleasantly surprised when we arrived and was greeted with some birthday balloons, a bottle of wine and some treats. With two large bedrooms and large living areas, Pine Hill was more than enough space for our family of 3, and well located to all of the tourist sites we wanted to visit (a very short drive to Olinda).

A beautiful location, lovely deck to enjoy breakfast, light-filled house to relax in, thoughtful touches in every room and a beautiful garden to explore. Joanne was a delight to deal with and so helpful - looking forward to coming back again someday!

What a hidden gem this cottage was! Generous sized bedrooms with 2 large separate living areas, we felt there was plenty of room even for 6 adults. Spacious modern bathroom with heated towel rack! The kitchen is super well equipped, not to mention the variety of coffee, tea and many yummy treats we were spoilt with! We particularly loved the undercover outdoor seating area where we enjoyed our morning tea, overlooking the beautiful gardens. The house was immaculately clean with so much attention to detail throughout. We were fascinated by the lovely, unique decorations every corner we turned. The photos advertised simply don’t do this house justice. Jo was the kindest and most generous host I’ve ever come across with. She went above and beyond to cater the need of my elderly parents. Thank you Jo for pampering us with beautiful fresh flowers, wines, chocolates..and with flexible check in / check out times! We appreciate the heart and soul you put into this holiday home. It deserves a 6-star through and through 💖

Stayed here for a night with my partner and her parents. Had a wedding nearby and this property was a great place to stay. It's surrounded by heaps of trees. The property manager was super nice and even helped us book taxis. The property is a little old but with modern furniture and beds. Loved it as a little weekend getaway.

A very clean, comfortable and well equipped property. Pretty grounds and lovely bird-life landing the balcony. Many yummy snacks were provided too! Communication was terrific and the host was very obliging regarding a slightly earlier entry to the property to enable us to get to a function on time.

Reasonably close to town this home has two generous bedrooms and plenty of space to relax. Ducted heating keeps visitors toasty warm. It is a classic home from the 50s or 60s, perfectly comfortable. A great base to explore the Dandenongs from. The host is extremely helpful and did everything possible to assist us when our visit did not go as planned. The home is not suitable for a wheelchair inside or out and has a tight driveway, unsuitable for wheelchair trailers. In wet weather the garden on 2.5 acres is unsuitable for wheelchair exploration. Not possible either to safely secure pet dogs outside on site. A misunderstanding led us to book this property. If you do not have a wheelchair or dogs, the property would be without issue and the owner extremely kind and helpful.

We absolutely loved our stay and have nothing bad to say about the place. We were so relaxed and comfy and had everything we needed. Love going for a walk around the property. Will definitely stay again

Such a great peaceful spot and cute retro house with everything you could want. The host Jo went above and beyond and was such a pleasure to communicate with. She left snacks and wine and beautiful personal touches and made sure the place was nice and warm when we arrived which was so appreciated. Would highly recommend!

What a beautiful hidden gem this property is! We stayed with our two boys (7 and 10) who had an absolute ball wondering the beautiful grounds around the home. Jo was incredibly responsive and delightful to deal with. The house itself is immaculately clean, the linen was beautiful and the extra treats like wine and chocolate, snacks, milk etc. Every tiny thing you could think you may need has been provided in this home. Jo obviously cares deeply about giving her guests a beautiful and relaxing experience. We loved it here and will definitely be back with our boys as soon as we can.

Excellent little property, only downside was only one bathroom for a 2 bedroom house. Otherwise no faults! Thanks for the snacks!

This was a perfect place for what we needed, was after a few bedrooms for the night for a wedding up the mountain and was great that we could bring our dog too. Was everything we needed.

Beautiful spot, large grounds and access to some nice walks.

I had forgotten what clean fresh air was like. Very comfortable/spacious. The dog smelt every tree. Would be recommending the place to anyone who just wants to get away for a couple of days.

Ideal house in Dandenongs

We loved everything about the property - the location within easy reach of local Dandenongs attractions, the solitude of the position hidden in the forest, the charming decor blending the 70's and 80's with a bit of African safari thrown in, the spacious rooms and comfortable beds, the many amenities including local wines and craft beers, an assortment of interesting chocolates and snacks, fresh flowers, nice soaps, candles and bath salts, the list goes on! The property owner was helpful and easy to work with. We highly recommend this property and are looking forward to a return visit!
